Wasn't the WHOLE POINT of this thread to find advice on whether to go FROM one or two wheels, not TO one or two wheels? Check the first post...

I can do both. Until recently I was usually hopping from two wheels, as I found my accuracy better. Then I started learning sidehops my 'wrong way' and found that I could only really do it from one wheel (felt impossible from two) and now I tend to go either way from one wheel. I find I can get more power from one wheel, but as my 'from one wheel' hops get bigger, I can do bigger from both wheels, so I practice both.
  3. Jeez, when I started riding I had to make do with Deore or FSA cranks, and if you broke them you hadn't a hope in hell of getting a replacement. There will always be failures, you can't make something absolutely bomb proof without making it stupidly heavy. Plenty of people are satisfied with Tensiles, and their replacement scheme seems more than fair.
  4. 3-5 WORKING days I always thought. So that could be next Monday...
  5. Isn't Seb's brother 16? Excellent work, I agree. Most 9 minute videos I'm bored after 3, but not this one. Great stuff...
  6. How much did you pay? Jacobs have them online at 539 quid. Cheers for the help though.
  7. Anybody here own a Nikon D50? I ask because I'm thinking of buying one, and was after any comments/complaints/etc? Thanks.
  8. Damn! When I first met you two years ago I don't think you could even backhop! Nice work mate, top video there. You're riding's really coming along, nice to see you mastering the rail gaps.
  9. Many times Hope have serviced hubs for me (I've sent them off, and they've been returned nicely overhauled). Do they do the same thing with brakes? Thanks.
  10. You're terrible...
  11. I'm with Luke and Bucky. I bought my first set of '04 style' HS33's in 2000, and I've just swapped to 05's and they're much nicer. Just nicer feel I think. The caliper slave cylinders are pretty much the same, so you can still use the old style EVO or 4 bolt mounts (as I do in fact).
  12. Have to go to work. In fact, I'm at work now. Fat Dan should be out though.
  13. I wouldn't worry, nobody cares what your I.P. address is.
  14. This is a bike forum. Go to a car spares shop and ask them, or make one yourself.
  15. Software designer for a large engineering firm. Easy job, good pay and I quite enjoy it.
  16. Nah, that's people desparately trying to shoehorn 24" trials bikes into an existing category. It's trials for people who value a fun ride more than a 52" tap.
  17. Good. Eengoedidee is far better than MegaUpload.
  18. Subject: Barclays IBank INFORMS YOU Body: in 1967 not on your side in 1855 Cheats stranger
  19. Yeah, upside down they fit onto U-brake mounts. If you have a BMX frame with v-brake mounts (like a racing frame) then obviously they'll fit on the usual way...
  20. Mine doesn't. People have been fitting Maggies to BMXs for years. Never done it myself because it seems a bit overkill. Would probably get smashed too. For barspins, you could just run a long braided hose.
  21. Thing is, if you send them out to millions of recipients, chances are that in the end some greedy/christian fool will be stupid enough to try and 'help out' (get rich). Then they get stung for their life savings and wind up on Watchdog crying about it. Just check the English in these things - least they could do is hire a Brit to word the emails. So far I've had about 30, one from Yasser Arafat's widow herself, and others from prominent people with loads of gold bullion. I think you should go for it. Or at least email back and ask how to deposit the money, etc.
  22. Yeah and the MSN users always have ridiculously long or emo names. Signatures are crap anyway, we don't need to know what computer you've got (and probably only use to browse the web with) or who's online bike shop you bum (despite never having bought anything from there). Put it in the bin.
  23. Use a short bolt. Does look gimpy when there's an inch of M5 bolt sticking out of the lever, and it probably won't do much good if you fall off and hit it.
  24. Yes it does - the drive side ones will still be shorter.
