Nice second vid felix. Like has been said before, a really cool atmosphere, might just be bescause it was inside but everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves. Carles Diaz with a great save on the ramp up, hopping it back onto the cotton reel. I cant believe Benito messed that up. I always love to see cassio ride, lovely style. Funny at the end with that balance beam :) Who won on the day?? Are there any results any where??

Use the split Link!!!!!!! I have always used them and when the chain breaks it has never been that link to go. People seem to think that they can be used to remove the chain 3 times a day and then be put back on. If you remove the split link then use a new one to join the chain again and not the same split link. I run my chain with gears and have had no problem, like adam said, if you put it on the right way then it will be sound. Think about it in your head for a second. That link uses a sheet of metal to take the load. This is held in place with a sturdy clip, so the join between the pins and the metal doesnt really matter. If you join the chain with your chain tool, then you are pushing the pin into a bit of metal and that all thats holding it together. You and your tool cannot join the chain in the same way the factory does, so you can guarantee that the link you joined with your tool is the weakest link in the chain. Use the split link :) Please EDIT: adam, all you have to do is space the jockey wheels out with washers and longer bolts.

How many rounds are left?? What are the overall standings so far?? When does kenny pick up his title?
-
I run a stronglite head set  Never seen anyone else with one. Its good because the bearings are linear (flat) rather than round. Takes the stresses better I believe. Only problem is that it has quite a high stack, but Im ok with it. Had it ages too.

I think people forget that there would be no "new school" without the "old school". I think that bike looks sweet. Maybe a longer stem for me then it would be spot on, but it does look fun to ride. Well done that man  I wish I could afford 2 bikes.

Yeah they probaly do work really well, I just wasnt sure if it was 4 bolt or not. I think they look quite cool.
-
That doesnt look 4 bolt to me???

Nice one Felix, always bringing home the goods  I almost always enjoy the qualification sections more than the final sections. Im not sure if this is just me or not?

Yes Pat, elite at essex  Your a bit lucky living somewhere you can choose.

I am running a split road cassette with a gusset 18t sprocket on my alu king and its fine. I have just upgraded to a steel drive shell but on the old alu one it was fine. You will be hard pushed to find a cassette with the size you want, unless its a normal mtb one. All the road cassettes I looked at went 19t - 17t. Just split and make a custom one. This way you can make the biggest sprocket 19t so you can still have the chain the perfect length.

Yeah f**k loads. They all crack.

Awsome web site  B) :)

Once you have ridden it a few times you should check they are tight, and tighten where nessecery as tight as you can with your hand and the long allen key. Once middlerburns are done up tight they wont come loose very often if at all. Just give it a check once in a while and they will be fine. Good to see you went for the middleburns  EDIT: Sorry wrong person I was think of B)

I was going to say the new pashley but Im not sure how expensive they are. They are really streety and strong. Stedman rips it up on his. Zebdi's will be cheap but second hand ones will probally be cracked so watch out for that. orange zeros are quite streety, maybe find one of them. Im actually having a brain block at the moment, hahahaa sorry.

And the chain is missing the back plate on the quick link B) Lets hope its not a test bike

Its a good idea for the isis bb's, so that maybe their bearings will last longer. But we do all know how much abuse that area takes from walls and what not. I dont think it will damage the frame threads, and I think they could probally take quite a few knocks. Obviously we will only know when someone is riding it hard but I think if you wanted isis cranks that looks like a good improvement

It depends on what you are doing for a free wheel. If you go for a Hope XC (which I think you should) Then you can just get a 22t chainring and run whatever you want on the back. You should be able to order a 22t CD (compact drive) chainring from most bike shops. Go for a middleburn one if you can, but at least make sure you spend more than £10 on the chainring because cheap ones will bend, and can rip all the threads out of the bashring  If you want to run an ENO, then you will have to run it on the rear hub as you cant attatch a front free wheel to the middleburn cranks. Then you will probally have to run the super pro titanium middleburn trials bashring which is 16t I think. Im not sure on what ratio you want with all these small sprockets but I think thats what you would have to do.
-
I would never run anything but middleburns. Never had a problem. 2 sets over 5 years, and one set was from being lazy and riding them loose. Middleburn gave me new cranks for £50 anyway. Tensiles if you want to run front free wheel, but otherwise Middleburn  EDIT: Plus one of the strongest bashring about, tough as arnie in his prime. e.g. BEEF

The zoo's are a real nice shape aswell. Have you cut them down at all? Because arent the zoo risers 29 inches anyway. I have the onza 28 inches and they are really nice, but if I were you I wouldnt change. Look at tunni riding, he goes huge and runs them. I think the zoo bars are strong enough. They both feel really nice, if I were you I would stick with what you have.

Sapim sit in to the flanges much better. :D On a King at least

Dont weld them together though because I think ali said the heat made the metal reall soft and so it was no better for grinds than a try all rim. But I think Phil (select bikes) said there was a method of hardening the metal again which was pretty simple. Try a search on the topics because there was loads of info in them :D
