  1. Really sweet vid man :( I enjoyed watching that. Really cool styles all of you, and you have some really nice spots to ride by the looks of things. Where are those spots if you dont mind me asking?? I really liked the guy on the leeson's style and riding, top notch. And he uses an el gato, so he knows what he is doing. Also really liked the guy on the red brisa, loved the 180 to up to bash :) I didnt know there was still brisa's about.
  2. I will be up for oxford and maybe reading. Depends when and where so make sure you confirm everything as soon as possible. And whats up with little Johan?? Cant he make it??
  3. Yeah I prefer the semi final vid just for the fact it has loads of cassio. Good vid felix, and a real shame about the jumpiness at the end.
  4. Tim rarely does things that arent sick
  5. It doesnt matter but it is interesting. The only problem with this sort of thing is who to believe. And people telling the whole story. For example, I can tap 65 inches to rear wheel. But it is a sloped wall and you can tap both the front and rear wheel and its basically not that hard to do. But I could just of said I can tap 65 to rear. You see what I mean.
  6. http://www.biketrial.ch/pages/video.php Not sure if anyone has seen this before, but I just thought I would bring it up.
  7. Slightly off topic. But I have always thought that in BIU, you have to pass both wheel axels through the gates. Is this right or is it something to do with the bb???
  8. No gloves, and no gloves for the past 3 years. You dont get as nice a feel of the bar with gloves I find, and if you get some nice foam grips then you dont loose grip on the grips when hot and sweaty/raining. I will never use gloves again. You will get calluses with gloves too, dont think you wont, like mike said they are there for a reason. And falling off, how does a thin bit of cloth help hurt less? When I used to use gloves and I fell of it wouldnt help, it would just tear and then its your hand anyway.
  9. I would suggest getting a hog rim from onza. Same rim but with eyelets and doesnt have a stupid try all logo on it. Between 32 and 36, I would go for 32 as there is no real benefit strength wise from getting 36, the only advantage is its easier to true. It depends what hole your hub is, if getting a new hub aswell, then go for a 32
  10. Sounds like a mint day you guys had. Shame i couldnt make it, although I had loads of fun at the essex. Can some one tell me who Matt Arckwright is please. He looks mental, and as Im bored at uni, I would love to read something about this guy. Please tell me more
  11. Nah stupid idea james and sam. I expect better from you.
  12. Was a well good trial I thought. Really enjoyable. Probaly one of the easier rounds, but concidering all the last minute changes and problems I think it was really good. Everything there could of been cleaned, which really encouraged people to try and clean them. Obviously not always happening, but made it fun.
  13. Im with quick spider on this one. The less trials see's of brant the better. He got all stressy and stop selling stuff in the UK any more and concentrating on things he considered to be more important than the uk. Its his own fault for not writing the bloody warranty right in the first place. Very unproffesional were the people I had to deal with in the company.
  14. http://www.eengoedidee.nl/videoz/bike-tria..._old_school.wmv Ok a vid made with some clips I have from 2003. Clips from my house, brentwood demo and nass. Its 50mb and 3.30 long. Please leave comments, although nothing about editing please. <_<
  15. Yeah I would love this vid too please as I never saw it <_<

    Split Links

Aimed at little harry. What are you basing your "there weaker" statement on??? A chain joined with your tool at home will be the weakest link in a chain full of properly joined links. Or do you think you can join a chain with your tool as well as the factory can?? And that when the chain breaks that it wont be the one you joined?? Im not to bothered because I will always use the kool link and be sound. For som reason it just annoys me when people think they can join a chain as well as the factory. For me, it goes like this. Get new chain, use tool to shorten to correct length. Put on bike, and join using split link assembled in the right direction. If I have to remove the chain for whatever reason. Off comes the split link, and when re assembled I will use a new split link.
  17. There would still be comps, like essex, hampshire, tykes and the nationals and worlds. Comps are still a really central part of trials life for the people who do them. Meeting once or twice a month and chatting with people, looking at each others set up and all that. You get to know everyone because its the same people a lot of the time. And I dont think the internet has really changed or effected this. Mainly because comp footage isnt really that interesting to people unless they do comps/were there. For videos and shopping we would be lost without the internet, and I agree, who would believe someone if they told you some of the stuff that craig and neil and people like that do, I wouldnt believe them unless I saw that sort of thing with my own eyes. It does open your eyes alot.
  18. It would have to be a Hope mono trial 180 for the brake. Wheel wise, you wont go wrong with a good hope xc hub. Rim wise I would go for a mavic d521. You will be hard pushed to find a stronger rim and at 520g its light enough. But because its a mavic, you can drill the shit out of it to make it look custom and cool  and save a bit of rotational weight. (Not much but hey).

    Ribo Shoes

Addidas trainers are the best. And they dont fall apart. The pins wear through the sole before they fall apart, and that takes a good couple of years. Never used trial shoes, never will. Unless I ride a world round, so never.

    Alibongo

Yeah get it as cheap as possible because you will be replacing it very soon. My advice would be echo control 04. Very similar geo and wont snap  Your choice though

    German Road Trip

    http://www.observedtrials.net/vb/showthread.php?t=15751 Well worth the d/l :)
  22. But get a good crowd going and they will support who ever is riding, cheering and shouting and clapping and whatever. I think it would be good to have girl riders in and around the event. It shows that they are there. It doesnt matter how good they are in my opinion. It would be cool to have them riding. Maybe not like at the bike show when each rider does a run with the commentator focussed on them, but just have them in and around, maybe practicing and playing about without the attention on them. You know between shows and what not. As for them being in the comp its self, I dont think that will work. Last years course was bloody big and hard, I dont think they could cope. But Im all for having them at the event riding, just maybe without the main focus.
  23. Yeah I am, got to try and do better than last this time :( I might try strato dabs :)
