    Ck Vs Profile

The people who's kings slip have not bedded them in properly. I could buy a profile hub for my bike and put on my bike upsidedown/back to front and come on here saying "profiles are f**king shit, dont get one they just dont work" its the same thing as not bedding a king in properly. And its the same for everything. Im not saying one is better than the other, but to me a well set up king (which isnt hard) will be more reliable and last longer than a profile on a stock. For mod I say profile, a little heavy but by far and away the cheaper and I dont think you will have problems with it.

    Ck Vs Profile

Profiles for stock are like £260 anyway so there is only the performance factor to seperate them really?
  3. I have never used one Im afraid, but Im sure thats how they work and are more powerful. Theroretically speaking they should have more power.
  4. They have a bigger piston I think so they move the pads less but it has more power. Its the basic hydraulic laws and all that. You sacrifice movement for power and vice versa. With the RB lever you have to have the pads closer to the rim than with a normal lever so this is why you probally get some drag.

    New Chain

apparently it will wrap around the smaller cogs better so will wear better for the people who use really small sprockets and chainrings.

    Broken Tpa

Read the link and in the FAQ and you will be enlightened. Also if u actually go and look at the lever and take it apart you will see straight away how it works

I dont understand people who say kings are weak. Porter runs one and has never had trouble with it. Im sure you have all seen james's riding and will agree that if a king can withstand that sort of abuse then they are f**king strong. Maybe yours was built wrong.
  12. I would say normal middleburn squares and a shimano BB. :P

    Japan

Kenny used to ride biu on a 20 inch and he used to do very well. Up there with canas and benito. So what if he only rides his 26 for uci. If thats what he wants to do then why not do it?? I say fair play to him for going and doing one round on his 20. I obviously dont know but I would imagine he doesnt ride his 20 much any more. Why are people having a go at him?? There are 2 different comp rules and kenny obviously likes riding the uci ones more than the biu. If I was kenny and I didnt really enjoy riding the biu comps then I wouldnt. Why should he? To please you (Y)

    Rear Hub

Yeah you could wait for the pro trials hub but I would put what you have towards a king. I was in the same situation as you not long ago. Breaking a bulb once a month and sending it back to hope. Hope were very good with me. I would only have to wait two-three days and they would fix it for a £10. But I wanted something that would last and the king does that.

    Brake Pads

Coust pads are very good pads. Amazing bite and they hold aswell as koxx brown. The only problem people have is with them wearing at very uneven angles because of the shit backings. I run koxx brown on a harsh grind and I cant see me ever changing. They dont bite the best but they rule in every other catagory. The only pads I might try over the koxx brown is the plaz, but only in the summer. For wet the koxx wins again for me. You can get coust pads from Fat mike. They are worth a try, I almost did but was put off by the backings. They are the same price, and you will need to use a grind with either.
  20. I think you can ride a short bike very well on natural, you just have to ride it in a different way to a long bike. Short bikes are more flickable which is good in tight sections. The long bike does help with wheel swaps and stuff like that. I still cant ride my control as well as I could my zebdi in natural comps after 6 months. You could argue that long bikes are for "moves" Also I think the shorter wheelbase helps you with knowing wheel the wheels are.
  21. Pm both nick and rowan. Very nice of you to ask (Y)
  22. I would say get a descent mech and lock it out and lock it in position over your sprocket. I prefer a mech for a few reasons 1. They are sprung, so they take up the slack automatically and apply the right tension. 2. They have jockey wheels rather than a roller. I like jockey wheels better as the chain engages with them and rolls over them smoothly so you dont feel any thing at the pedals. When I had a roller style tensioner I could feel every link going over the roller at the pedals. I didnt really like this as it didnt feel very smooth. 3. Mechs are cheaper and also more available as in, every bike shop has them. My 2 pence
  23. Really cool video, shows how much fun you guys had. Stoke on trent looks mental for riding
