  1. If it's a chromo steerer then yes. I'm currently running a set of extended Monty 231 forks. The extension is made from a bored out piece of round bar as an insert with a step in it and welded round the edge before being ground flush. It's then pin welded in 4 places. Its important to get a good penetration on the weld.
  2. Just as long as it gets taken on board. I dont think bad language sets a very good example when it comes from a moderator, no matter what the situation or the **'s used. Thank you
  3. Fully agree with Stan here
  4. Nice review matt. Out of interest I would like to hear your thoughts on the rockman bars. Did you consider them? I think the main difference is that they have a bit more upsweep at the ends.
  5. Nice work lads. I'm really pleased with the way that this has turned out, if a little bummed that you got yours first. Anyway, I've got a pimping build waiting to go on mine, really getting excited about it now. It certainly looks better with the seat slammed. I'm planning on running a proper post and seat as low as possible. We didn't want to go back too far with the geometry, the aim was to keep it modern for rear wheel control and gaps but short enough for bunnyhops and manuals. It's certainly not Zebdi, but then again, it's going to ride better than one I'm interested in any constuctive criticism and will pass it on to the guys @ Rockman
  6. Do people agree with me on this one??
  7. Yeah, I didnt doubt that, the topic title is just a little misleading thats all no drama
  8. A freestyle open trials course sounds fair enough, but is it a competition? You need some sort of structure to the event to get crowd interest, rather than it just being a free for all with different levels of riders. I think it would certainly need a "Top Riders" part for invited riders only, a la Bike Show style. We need to promote the sport in the best possible way, so lets put some thought into it.
  9. They're OK, but certianly not the Best pictures of 2009
  10. Great range of venues there, I'm really looking forward to this year, definitely coming to them all! Andrew

  14. looks pretty standard, as long as you can get your rear sprocket in the correct place
  15. not sure really, nothing set in concrete, whichever day is quieter probably. How about you?
  16. Out of interest, does anyone know what type of elastomer the HS33 seals are made of (ie, what base, nitrile, flourocarbon etc...) I've been doing some work with various seals and fluid compatibilty at work. Also, what are Hope seals?
  17. sweet, thanks! Love all 3, especially the last, watching that really made me want to put more effort into comps this year, maybe even try a world cup round. Really liked the travelling parts as well, some of those locations are amazing. Without trying to sound jealous I want that lifestyle!
