  1. Try ringing up swinnertons hire centre they may have had them handed in. But it would be lucky Failing that I can knock 25% off a new set from work
  2. http://www.bikebiz.com/news/read/madison-throws-weight-behind-two-mechanics-training-companies/03447 This is what I did
  3. It's free if you have Saturday job at a bike shop
  4. If you know you can fix bikes then there's nothing stoping you getting a qualification and its free in most cases.
  5. 8.76kg very bloody light, consdering i still have a maxxis creepy with onza thick tube in there. and two steel discs
  6. The bleed nipple or the banjo with.copper washers. If its the banjo with copper washers. You will need to try sofening the copper. Heat them up to red hot then run them under a tap to quench them. Then refit them they will seal better after that
  7. Me me me I know loads about bikes. And nothing much about geo but willing to learn.
  8. Zip tie the lever for a few hours if its got a leak it will show you where. If its not got a leak it will sqeeze the air into smaller bubbles which will flow back to the highest point in the brake system and into the resevoir and fix the brake basically. If this doesn't work then I would suggest replacing all the rubber parts and a fresh bleed.

u could always just put your foot in the wheel to stop it turning, works most times ok. good set of pads and light grind is best though
  10. What would happen if bike mot's come in will trials bikes fail because of no seat
  11. I don't setup the bikes like they are my own. Most customers wouldn't come back if i set there bike up for 5'5" guy with unusual taste for abnormal setups. I know what your getting at though. By treat is as if it were your own. When repairing bikes you should ask yourself epistle you ride it in the condition its in. Although that depends on what you are used to riding. If you ride a 20 year old raleigh covered in rust, i would guess the standard would be low. Key to being a great mechanic is knowing what new feels like and what current trends are. To get the bikes to feel and look right.
  12. bike shops aren't keen on fixing them because most of the staff have never riden one before. and trials come with light weight + strong together which doesn't really work as far as relability. you get the same with other bike types like fixies and slope style bikes
  13. A bunch of us are meeting in leek at 1pm at brough park leisure centre. Pm me if you wanna come too

  15. does anyone know where i can find pics from the event?
  16. get a photo up pal i used to sell these at the shop i worked at a couple of years ago, they should have a stem simmilar to this. http://www.tartybikes.co.uk/26_inch_stems/trialtech_race_welded/c41p10461.html 120 x 20 should feel better. although i would be tempted with a 90mm
  17. bloody conti slow germans, danny should have worked with maxxis
  18. so far i have had trialzones for 3 months now and there still feeling like new, and i can say that because i just bought a new set for my 24" too and the old ones on my 20 feel just the same after 3 months use and all i have done to them is check the bolts are tight once a week. and topped up the oil in the resovoir after i had some air creep into the hose once.
  19. i wish someone would make a soft compound street tyre as none of them grip well in the wet
  20. best hope setup is a trialzone on no9 caliper/ postmount. you will need to order a brakr mount too it will cost you and extra £13 trust me its worth it for the adjustment you get. because if you rotor rubs the disc it will push the pistons back slightly and effect the feel of the brake
  21. The MOTO and holyroller will last longer. The table top will last simmilar to the digger. But grips better in park use than a digger but not a good as the maxxis. If I had more clearance in the rear I would run a maxxis rear and the table top front.
