  1. Look, it doesn't matter. Not everyone is annoyed by the same things, but we can all use the forum. STOP ARGUING!

  3. this man is right. So so right. I wish the debate would go away, but it's as viral as the street vs nattie debate of all those years.

My advice would be to try to get the fact that you want to do it out of your head. Try to think from the point of view of just someone who has some money and hates kids, education, everything else rather than it being something you want to do. As UrbanPoet says, you need to do research until you've done all the possible research, and then bleedin' do some more. You can never have too much information when going into a business venture. Also, don't let her sell the idea to you. She obviously wants a business partner, and will try to quash any doubts you have as soon as possible. Keep a clear head and use it, not your heart. That would be a good start
  5. Sounds like the plan is working. If I get ridiculed I'll be sure to get pics as proof of how stupid I looked!
  6. I thought it might piss people off if I posted each one in turn! But yea, got to listen to it the whole way through. To be fair, I dont often listen to the whole of the ambient noise sections now because I know them inside out and usually use that album as something to run to. The next album I listened to was Radiohead - In Rainbows and now I'm onto this: Youtube Video -> ">" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent" width="425" height="350">

  8. I may well be up for this, as long as someone holds my hand because I haven't actually met any of you guys and wouldn't be bringing anyone along
  9. Haha yea, I know what you mean. Any weddings I've been to before I've been to the actual ceremony though so it's easy - wear a suit. With this I'm pretty certain on black shoes, black smart trousers, purple shirt with a thin matching tie (not fully done up done worry) and I'm pretty much decided on the jumper, but didn't know whether it's too casual. Seems smart enough to me.
  10. Right, I've got a wedding reception to go to tonight, and I think I've pretty much made my mind up but I thought I'd look for opinions to see whether I've chosen completely wrong or not! Obviously, being a Friday wedding you can tell it's not a big fancy do for a start which is true. It's also not mega close people in my lives, just people who live in the same flats - yea, no friends right? Nah, they're a cool bunch, but that's not the point. Also obviously, I'm not going to the main event either, just the free bar section afterwards... 3 options style wise, all going around a fairly normal suit trousers and purple shirt base: * Suit Jacket * Very smart black v neck * Waistcoat So which one would you choose and why? As far as I'm concerned, they all look pretty swish and I'll say that my final 2 options before I decided (pretty much) were the last 2 there. Mainly because my suit is a bit shit..
  11. personally, out of those 2, i'd go with the summer season. But that's just what I'd ride, i'd rather have something quicker on the downs than the ups. If you're the same then go for it, if not go to the inbred.
  12. Here's the difference as I see it, and why I can't stand the "TGS" mentality. I do taps, gaps and sidehops but, and here's the clincher, I do them linked up into a motherf**king line. You lot do a tap. Or a Gap. Or a Sidehop. That's not trials, that's practising one element of trials at a time and never actually using them together to make something worthwhile. Sure, I've sat there practising gaps till I'm totally sick of them, but generally only because it's part of a line that I want to dial. You seem to have people who have a dig at TGS as people who dont do those moves. We do, but we do something with them. You TGS boys would probably be f**king awesome if you just thought outside of those 3 little letters. And do your homework, there's some of those guys who "should have quit while they were good" who could probably still shit all over your s!ds but on a natural line as part of a comp.
  13. Don't know if you've thought about it, but what about singlespeed? You can get some sexy stuff for small amounts of money in that market. I get about quite nicely day to day on a Specialized Langster London and it definately doesn't limit you only having one gear, just makes you less lazy.
  14. Almost certainly not Halfords by any stretch. Most people who would shop at halfords will just go in there because their whole customer base shares a brain cell anyway. Plus I dont really think their site would count as a cycling website anyway. Almost certainly wiggle.co.uk as #1
  15. *ignores all the absolute evidence that Glen is, in-fact, a self centred prat in his own little world of fantasy* i would go for the banshee.
  16. the best tip I can give you is to hang around in here for a while, get validated, get into the classifieds and buy some good second hand kit. Definately the most cost effective way of getting a good rig.
  17. it actually says at the beginning of the american version that some scenes have been constructed to aid viewer entertainment or something along those lines which means scripted! the UK one is all real though apparently...
