I live in hebden Bridge (10 mins away) only ever ridden burnley twice though, some nice stuff, but I would much rather ride some rocks.
-
sorry nick, but this has to be said (Y) your bike was the worst thing I have ever ridden!! Think its more due to the frame rather than how you had it set up, but it just felt like a bloody exspensive pogostick!
-
I thought he got kicked in the stomach while training and it ruptured somthing, he didnt get it looked at and died because of it? and yes, with his kind of physique he could have been awesome at trials!!
-
most definatley natural!! I like to ride both, but I will get bored a lot quicker on street, its just a lot more repetative than natural. I am pretty lucky though, I have tonns of natural near by which you can get to within 10 mins in a car.

the best bikes I have ridden in each cat are: 26" Waynes Kenny Beleay 24" Ashton ET 20" Monty x lite

think its probably gonna be more hassle than its worth, what with swapping tyres and cassettes round. Ta all the same though, see you there

sounds good to me (Y) although I think the weather will shock him. I have just got back from a week in lanzarote and the weather here is awefull!! after a few months in spain he will be used to nice light warm dry days (Y)

lol, news to me (Y) I like to use the same stuff I would do in a comp. I need to know exactly how my bike reacts so I know how close I am to its limits (eg how my brakes feel, when my hub engages, what my tyres feel like, how much grip my pedals have etc) I do however have spairs that I put on for comps, like new tyres (to suit conditions) and change pads to also suit conditions....but they are normally the same as what I normally use, but just newer. Also, Iolo, wad and myself do go out to "train", we will go to some rocks and mark out sections and time each other. we will also go out on the street and set targets and try and beat them. Doing the section training REALLY helps for comps, most people when out riding riding just do a couple of moves then rest, that wont help much at comps when you need to flat out for 2 mins, so training for comps like that is a big help. most of the time however we just ride as normal (Y)

I cant ride as I dont have a complete bike, but I will see if I can come and observe or somthing (Y)

VERY good The riding is super good, I met him in scotland at the fort bill comp, I was most suprised at how good he was (Y) Glad to see someone putting my old frame to use (Y) To clear things up....I was using the first proto, which was made wrong, geo all over the place and brake mounts welded too high, so had to use a rear disk. I used that untill the bike show (where on the first morning I actually built that the frame Dannys using up!) I used it for the 3 days of the bike show, then had to give it back so Danny could get the frame.

2mm seems a lot for steel forks.........1.4 or somwhere like that sounds more reasonable. I welded a disk mount to my pashleys, they lasted about 4 months then snapped just above the mount. It might have been my shoddy welding, lack of heat treatment or the rustyness that caused it though.....get them done proper and they will be chipper

I'll try and enter, but I am only back from holiday 3 days before and I my wheels will be in bits needing to be built (Y)
-
as onza marko boy said....I tend to ride alone just cos I wanna get better, it eats inside me when I know theres a rocks or wall thats beating me, I just gotta go and do it! Having a car would help, then I would go to places like back cowm quarry as oftem as I could, but at the mo I'll just have to contend with the shitty canal towpath (my local)

I cut my knee when I fell off, a hair must of got trapped under the skin and couldnt get out. I had a small lump on my knee whish I though was maybe a bit of dirt had gone in and caused an infection. I squeezed it and about a 3cm long hair came out, it had been coiled up inside. so it can and does happen. (was pretty cool when it came out though :P )

bloody hard, cant get past day 6 :P

I have just ordered a nice range of maxxis tyres............I know what I likes and I likes what I know. meh, I know your all crying out to know which ones I have gone for, and why. 1) maxxis hansventure, slowreezay/ supertacky........simular tread to try-alls, lots of nice sharp edges to grip, lots of actual rubber so should last.....got it mainly as a loose soil/ muddy conditions comp tyre. 2)maxxis minion front 2.5 slow reezay....... nice sharp edged tread, they are blocks rather than ramps, so should grip both forwards and backwards equally. Proven puncture ressistance too. got as an allround tyre. 3) maxxis lopes Bling bling supertacky...... Again nice block tread so good grip forwards and backwards. low profile, so will be mint on rocks.......got as a dry weather comp tyre. 4) maxxis minion front 2.35 single ply slow reazay.......as rear minion, but lighter for the front. If above tyre cant be got then I will get below tyre 5) Maxxis high roller 2.35 slowreezay singleply........would rather have the front minion, but they are hard to get hold of, so this is my 2nd choice as its ramped in one direction and will only have REALLY good grip in one direction.

I HATE electric shavers, they always miss spots and make you look like you have been attacked with some wax. wet shaves is where its at!!
