  1. I can see your point and agree to a point but I think front hops are a great thing to learn.....They really test your balence and teach you how far you can go on the front before going over......I have ridden many comps where there have been steep roll downs, knowing how steep you can go is a great thing to know. a lot front hopping is in the feet, you need to be scooping the back up whilst pulling with the bars, just try and correct yourself as you go........also get very steep! its easier when your steeper. to turn look where you wanna go and when the front wheel is on the ground (between hops) turn the bars the direction you wanna go (like a normal pivot).
  2. I wish I could make frames, but thats only a pipe dream I am afraid, so no production.....ever.
  3. took 30 mins for me ;) nice vid, some massive stuff, I really need to work on my power (Y) and phil, that was a massive tap near the beginning :shifty:
  4. I havnt got my coust material yet, this is some secret rubber from some unknown place.
  5. a couple of hours maybe
  6. right, I finally got a good result.....Wad and the unnamed supllier of coust pads reccomended a sharp knife to cut them to shame, with water as cutting lube.........I tried it..... It worked!!! heres my pads (yet to be glued)
  7. I like to draw bikes here are a couple of old ones I did. please ignore the addresse details, they arnt my current ones
  8. yeah, come on guys, all the cool cats are going (me and waddy) dont be squares (Y)
  9. ahh yes, I got shown this on msn. Really nice geo, loverly looks, nice and light....seems a top notch frame to me.. ..I was suprised by the price, loads cheaper than I thought, I mean some alloy frames cost that, ti is really exspensive to work with.....my global frame was going to be £1000 if it was to come out!!
  10. I managed to find the right order last time it was up, but I have forgotten it now (Y)
  11. how did you get it so neat? (Y) there would only be a tiny bit of pad left if I went at it with my grinder (Y)
  12. I tried cutting some pads to shape with a blade and they are soooo shoddy. I wanna use a dremel type thing and cut the material using a mulsi direction bit, should be better then, I dont wanna mess up my coust material I bought of someone on msn (Y) Also, wheres the best online place to buy this UHU stuff?
  13. right, I'll give my opinion, your choice to take it or not. I recken you cant go wrong with either an Ashton Justice, onza limey or echo control (although the first two are british companies (Y) ) as for front brake, I say get an avid if you are on the cheap, hope if you want great customer service or magura for just goodness (all disks by the way) as for the rear, cant go to wrong with a maggie, but dont cancle out a vee if you can, they are REALLY underrated. my view on things Edit: Forgot that koxx also make nice riding frames, levelboss and beleay are my faves

I did a BTEC ND graphic design course I was ok, did the two year course with mainly deplomas, but I discovered graphic design was too much work for my liking. I HATED the computer stuff, that really gave me a headache, I just dont do computers. The drawing bits were good though. All in all, it hasnt helped me in my future career of a professional bum.
  16. I can do a fair bit switch, bunnuyhops, manuals, backhops, gaps, sidehops, wheel swaps (pigeons) and so on. I am trying taps latley, they are rather tricky.

    My Avid Is Shit.

the only way I haev managed to get me disks working again (including avid) was to buy new pads AND a new disk, I just couldnt get new pads and an old disk to work.
  18. after 6 years of running a rear maggie, I am switching to a vee, more power, nicer feel. I run a maggie marta disk with shimano lever of the front, its pretty good but hasnt got enough lever adjustment for my liking. Got a hope mono trials which I am gonna try out again sometime.
  19. I am pretty excited about the single speed hun, really excited if it can take 6 cogs!!!

    (Y) errmm, interesting geo  do people even have a clue to how geo effects bikes??
  22. take a moment and think about what you want from a set of bars..... you might be a bit limited by your clamp size, but do you want stiff bars? (more feel, but ultimatley wares you out quicker) Slightly flexy bars (more comfy, allows you to ride for longer, maybe not as strong?) do you need wide bars? if your sholders are narrow then wide bars canmake your riding worse. more to bars than you might think....
  23. to be honest it drives me up the wall when people say "dont ride in the wet because you will get hurt" Its like every day riding, you should know your limits. , also know how slippery things are comes with exspirience
