Holiday Plans, please Could You Help As I Cant Decide
Rich Pearson replied to Gogz-'s topic in Trials Chat
If you want the proper camping holiday vibe and some awesome riding I'd say you can't go wrong with West Bay, Bridport, Dorset. Lovely little fishing town with a couple of nearby campsites, and some freakin' awesome street and natural riding. Theres also a couple of nice little bars and shops in the town and if you want a night out Bridport is only a £5 taxi drive away. Also, Portland Bill, arguably the best natural spot in the UK, is about 20miles away (and considering you're coming from Kent, you could stop there either on the way or the way back). Dartmoor and Plymouth are also nice aswell Rich -
Yeah 'twas James Porter on his Curtis (or might have been his Leeson) riding in Bristol. Get in touch with Boon or Ben Rowlands, one of them would probably have it. Rich

Does Anyone Have Any Interesting Family Members?
Rich Pearson replied to NVWOCI WVS's topic in Chit Chat
Nothing brutally amazing in my family: My dad was one of the engineers and designers of British Telecom, so if you pick up a phone basically anywhere in the uk you're using technology he developed. My uncle flew Vulcan fighter bombers in the 60's. Not much else really. Rich -
So Stan's going properly European with his brake levers the wrong way round? Good shout Stan, hope you do well with Koxx Rich

Be Part Of The Biggest Trials Street Ride

I'll give it my best shot Jack, sounds like a good laugh. (btw, just moving this over to Rides/Locations) Rich -
I think places like Aushwitz, Treblinka and Mittlebau should be left to nature. The ruins of these places will never be a recognised monument to suffering but only serve as grains of salt in open wounds of peoples memories, so long as people continue to maintain the facilities. On a separate topic, its actually politically and grammatically incorrect to say "THE holocaust" as there were several holocausts throughout the second world war and indeed the general histroy of war; we all just choose to remember this one. Meh... Rich

First bold bit: Spot on piece of advice. So many people think that the world is a set and solid place with rules that will never change, and they try and plan their future to it. My first stab at A-levels I went for Law, Philosophy and English Literature, because that kind of thing was what I was best at IN SCHOOL and what everyone told me I would be best at in college. Unfortunately my best was a fair bit below everyone else's average, and I failed them all dismally, and at a serious number of peoples urging (to which I owe an extraordinary amount) I took another stab, this time picking only subjects I was really interested in. I left college two years later with what was rated as above average/exceptional grades in Media, Film and History. Go with what you enjoy, thats what life's for Second bold bit: a LOT of people think that stuff like Media and Film are fun and exciting and THEREFORE easy and therefore doss. Thing is the tutors who teach these subjects have cottened on to this and most of the ones I have met have a serious zero tolerence policy to people thinking they can muck around in their classess. Whatever you choose to do, whichever subject, prepare to have to work as HARD as you would in any other. Lots of luck with your studies dude, hope it all turns out well Rich

Just to try it out I've uploaded a whole bunch of my videos to youtube to see what would happen. Street Training 1,2 and 3 uploaded fine. ST4 was immediately censored for audio reasons citing copyright ownership by WMG. The audio is by Spineshank, a relatively unknown group signed under Road Runner Records (of which WMG is parent). However the Prodigy's "You'll be under my wheels" I used in the first vid, also owned by WMG, got through fine 'Tis a funny old place Rich

As its america I wouldn't be surprised if someone 250yards away facing in a different direction to the accident and listening to music themselves, sues for post traumatic stress disorder and loss of earnings due to witnessing the accident. Rich

Haha, no worries dude, parking in Taunton is pretty harsh as I seem to remember, hence why I offered. Give me a buzz Friday evening and I'll sort something out Rich
