  1. When I'm drunk I can cry at nigh on anything, but it takes something pretty heavy to get actual physical tears when I'm sober. Rich
  2. I was sick and tired of uneducated retards without a sense for branding or direction telling me I was a homosexual for calling my videos "training", and that this wasn't out of an over evolved sense of vanity. And it was just a short muck around vid.... :$ Rich
  3. Just to give this a little bump: Me, Dan Pearce and Craig Taylor look set to be at this one, hopefully a few more of you will aswell Looking forward to it. Rich
  4. Thanks for the responses guys, glad y'all liked it I actually wasn't; for some reason I did that gap (the first one) once or twice before Luke got the camera out and it stopped dead every time. But on that attempt there was a sensation I can only really decribe as brake fade, which is probably a bedding in problem I've yet to figure out (not a new brake but new to me). Thanks again everyone. Rich
  5. Someone asked earlier why I didn't just post this, stickie the topic and then close it so no one could post. But the fact is, this is what I/we wanted to see. Some of the people who have (by their own admission I might add) caused various carnage recently on the forum have come on here in a very level headed fashion to discuss an issue, come up with new ideas and diplomatically find a solution to what is certainly a problem. I'm not going to back down on my stance of being harsher against people who don't respect the rules, but I'd like it noted that since the posting of this thread 1) I have had NO reports at all 2) new moderators are being vetted from current SM's in order to take the workload off the current mods and 3) I've seen some of the most well thought out, intelligent and sensible posts I've seen in a long while. THIS IS GOOD GUYS! I think we're making some progress Rich
  6. I asked/told people not to bother contesting things for 2 reasons. 1. As Andy explained, I cannot say I enjoying the stupid amount of people I get every week complaining, arguing, debating or reasoning with me over a decision I made on here. 2. You HAVE to trust us to make the right decisions. Trials forum revolves around the validation process, it is the sole and basic priniciple which keeps out those who have nothing to contribute and allows in those who are willing to be a part of the community. No validation process; trials-forum would not function on any of the levels it functions on today. In order for this to work, the site needs moderators and administrators to police the validation system, and to keep things running smoothly. I know for a fact that a lot of people do not like me. I get it; I'm a moderator, many of you have been on here longer than I have, what right do I have to do this, etc, etc. But the thing is, I was asked to be a moderator. People decided and agreed that I was a suitable candidate to help run trials-forum. Its a job I'm happy to do in which I will happily say I take a fair bit of pride in. But for those people who are annoyed by the direction I've taken in trying to sort trials-forum out, put yourselves in my shoes. I receive (on average) about 5 reports a day. There are probably 2-3 big bust ups between members each month, and each one of them has a side to take. A lot of you know me in real life and are actually my friends; I've had to suspend Jon Mack recently, who I've met and know and who I actually really get on with. I've had to ban Keiron Whitfield before, who sponsers me! How easy do you think it is to make these decisions? I am quite simply appaulled recently at the level of petty attacks, snide remarks and general selfishnes this forum has sunk to. I'm not asking you all to be friends; I don't want you to be! I'm all for open discussion, I'm happy for people to disagree. But not enough action has been taken against people recently and its pissing me off. 99% of you don't break any of the rules. You're all generally good stand up people. But it is for the few who don't care about the forum (who usually follow that phrase with everything that is wrong with the forum, ironically....) that this is a message to. And for whoever it was that said I am above the rules or that I think I am above the rules; do you not think other mods and even Danny and Tom havn't before now had a go at me for a decision I've made or the way I've acted? I'm as responsible for my actions as you are for yours, more so perhaps. Rich
  7. Excellent. Really awesome riding there. Andy, quality vid as always Rich
  8. Evening all Trials-Forum Video -> Full View • Download • Upload Just a short vid of me bumping around Plymouth on Saturday. Am riding an 03/04 (not sure which) Pitbull which is probably the most fun bike I have EVER ridden. Hope y'all enjoy, as always all comments welcome. Thanks to Luke Rainbird for his ever patient filming, and apologies for the wierd fisheye effect on everything (not Lukes fault, I got the wrong lens with the wrong camera....) Enjoy Rich EDIT: and yes, I posted the topic three times. I know, I'm a retard....
  9. Right, I'm not gonna say this nicely as it shouldn't even have to be said. TRIALS FORUM RULES AND GUIDELINES These are the rules of trials-forum. I want EVERYONE to read them, as its been made pretty damn clear that most people don't seem to hold them in very high regard. I want people to take very clear notice of the last few bits regarding administrators decisions. Recently people have been treating this place like shit (not just chit-chat, but the whole forum). I know a lot of people don't take TF seriously and think it's a bit of a giggle but the fact of the matter is that people (and YOU know who you are) are taking the piss now, you really are, and its getting on so many peoples nerves. I am going to start enforcing much harsher ban's for people who are not toeing the line and abiding by these rules: we all once managed to get along perfectly well and act like civilised intelligent human beings, and I really don't see why we can't now. If you get suspended for something over the next couple of days, if a topic of yours gets closed, if any kind of action is taken against you by me or any of the other admin team don't even bother (as always, please note) trying to contest it. This place is going to start playing nice again and you will abide by our rules. Rich
  10. Like how you dented the last one Sweet ride dude, well looking forward to coming up to Bristol in November, you still on for a night in Toytown afterwards? Rich
  11. Talk for Fatmike and Max-T, they would certainly be considered the current experts in the field of full fledged european roadtrips. Rich
  12. Word. I'll be in at around 10ish I think Rich
  13. I actually really liked that. It was nice to see people putting some thought into shooting the video in terms of construction rather than just trying to put it all together with the edit. I want to go ride Southampton again. Rich
  14. Thats pretty increadible. You're better than a lot of sighted people that I know. As motivation and isnpiration go I'm feeling a fair bit of both right now Rich
  15. Wow! That kid has got some serious balance going on there. I actually really enjoyed watching that. He's gonna be one to watch in the future. Rich
  16. It really is quite pervvy, but thats EXACTLY the pic I found on google images that made me remember her! Theres a few other not too bad ones if you put her name into GI... Rich
  17. I think I was probably 11/12 when the last two series came out and those were the first ones I saw, so I'm kind of attached to them (and yep, 12 year old boy -> Chloe Annet -> didn't give a damn which Kochanski she played, I just wanted to marry her... ) But havint watched them all through (and also read all the books) I have to say the earlier ones are much more real than the synthetic feeling later series. The first Kochanski (Clare Grogan) was nasty as hell though..... Rich
  18. Dude, someone's doing well for themselves and representing the UK. You're picking the one Pro rider in the whole of the UK who actually isn't arrogant in the slightest, who is one of the very few genuinely nice people who has been on the scene longer than anyone else, and is actually just doing exactly what he's supposed to be doing as a professional and promoting himself: and your dissing him for that? Good work Scott, we need to get another ride on sometime dude Rich
  19. Good to see you pulled it off cheif. Turns out I was only a stones throw away from you in Ealing that weekend working for a friend of mine; funny how things go. Gutted I couldn't make it this year, I'll definately be up for doing next years show if I get the chance Rich
  20. I won't lie Tom. That was awesome Hopefully I'll get a chance to come up to Andy's again soon and get another ride on, looking forward to it. Rich
  21. I'm very, very sceptical about this. The last show involved most of the cast jumping to another dimension which was a negative of their own, whilst Rimmer was left on the decaying Red Dwarf to die, however managing to 'cheat' Death (a handy knee to the groin) and scarpered. How the hell they are going to carry on from that is going to be very interesting to see. Or, very shite. Rich
