  1. Did you buy it from micro direct, and was it a clearance off or from the page you linked us to? If i'd have bought that tv from them and i got what you did with no speakers or even a remote and it wasn't advertised as not having those things i'd be sending it straight back. Whats the model number on the back of the tv? They may have sent a similar one by mistake.
  2. I know, i saw all the adverts and videos on the web saying they were designed as a form of genuine excercise and as an aid to improve your abilities in different sports. I don't think thats what they were intentionally designed to do, but i can see how the merits would be there. After trying to get 250 on mode 1 (the one where 100 or 1000 revs is marked as 1) my arms were about dead, the forearms felt like i'd been trying to do a 4 mile long natty line with some monster arm pump going on. So i can see why they'd say that... as i clearly don't usually use those muscles so much. I've also found out i can pat my head and rub my belly every time now with both hands doing either action now. Never used to be able to do that
  3. Or.... Go to your local bike shop and ask if they've got any spare bottom bracket spacers lying around. They will also do the job nicely for you. Get one just big enough so that the freewheel doesn't rub on the bashring.
  4. Sorry, but isn't that pretty self explanatory? Hanger for a derailleur perhaps? A quick google shows that a derailleur is in fact a rear gear changer, so the hanger is for fitting chainguides as has previously been pointed out. If like jake said the black plastic was between the dropouts, i think it'd be safe to assume that its not meant to stay there... unless you fancy trying to fit the rear wheel somewehre else.
  5. Yeah, seen him before. Maybe with some practise... I'll try for 12,000 tomorrow, if the hand can cope. Yeah, i read a few topics that the search threw up before i chose to bump this one. Doesn't seem like your generally impressed with them
  6. Little BUMP Just got mine through yesterday, went a bit mental with using it and seem to have crushed the bones in my fingers so now i can't do the top speed mode thing till they're better. Been having a play with it just trying to beat my maximum number of rpm's in one sitting (function mode 1) with each arm at a time and its really giving my forearm muscles a workout. Just wanted to know really, will this help reduce arm pump while i'm riding natty as i get arm pump quite bad and it pretty much stops my riding day. Also, first day top speed of 11,160 any good?
  7. Whats the plazzy front disc like? Good ni the dry, dies in the wet?
  8. Unfortunately as a saftey precaution new members aren't allowed to reply in the classifieds section so no random scammer can come and try and take peoples money. Chances are they'd get bored of trying to be validated and so wouldn't be able to scam people. If you'd have read the new members guidelines you would have been told that, and that making topics on when you'll be validated/why you can't post in other areas will actually hinder your validation progress, in effect keeping you stuck in new members for longer. Have a read through the guidelines and the guide to valdiation making sure to take in account what they say when you make topics/posts and you'll be alright.
  9. You sure it doesn't have speakers? Sounds a bit weird really, having a tv with no speakers. Its not just like an ex-display model thats been setup to use surround sound or anything?
  10. Its a 400d, and it wasn't a house party, there was only seven of us. Only took it because a couple of friends are into photography.
  11. Might just have to give it a go, hope i don't forget on the way to the bathroom in the morning though, sisters boyfriend could be around so that'd be slightly awkward. Fun times? My bad That F button is pretty close to b, you either have the amazing fortune of having girls in your house or its a local word for hitting someone.
  12. I wish they'd have thought so too, seriously... mates always whinge about their girlfriends not being treated like "one of the lads" then when you do they get all arsey. Make you f**king minds up! meh, reckon i can fall asleep now. Might browse some porn, contemplate my lack of girlfriend at the minute and have a night-cap-wank before going bed.
  13. Still awake, in that zone where alcohols just wearing off but when i close my eyes things are still spinning. Think i upset my mates girlfriend tonight too, took my camera with me to my mates house and took a load of pictures... everyone thought the flash was really bright and my mates girlfriend said she got migraines from the flash. Fair enough i thought, didn't use the flash directly at her again or even near her... so two pictures of her all night with the flash, before she'd told me. As we drunkenly walked out the house and back to her car she got all mardy and told me if i take any photos on the way home she'd throw me out the car (she's about 4'6" and i'm 6'5"). The annoying thing is that i'd said i wanted to take pics on the walk home whilst drunk and instead i got forced into getting in the car Took some non flash photo's and some long exposures of the lights going past the window screen, then a couple of my shoes in the back footwell with next to no flash being visible because i couldn't get the manual focus right. As soon as we got the the first house on the way home she was shouting and demanding my camera off me. Needless to say i left the car (she was still shouting), flashed a load of times in her general direction because my other friend egg'd me on and i'm easily persuaded whilst drunk and started on my walk home. Rather disgruntled i texted her boyfriend and may have used something along the lines of "mardy, over-dramatising little dwarf". Got an annoyed text back from him, which is understandable and now i'm sat on here. Fun times!

    I Am Legend

He used a hand pump to pump the fuel through the petrol station line. I cut my hair myself, and i'm pretty sure its a bit more complex than a straight number 1-2 all over. Course he could cut that himself.
  15. Yeah i know, its to royally annoy me as i close 4-5 "pages" at once.

    Life

Its so true though. Theres always something wrong with that thing
  17. Bet you paid for your vista too didn't you... same here... maybe.... My next lowest is 5.7, thats the processor. Damn e2180 being slow, i expected more than that speed out of it for £45 Can't complain too much i guess though, i am a poor student and it beats a non-OC'd e6850 in every test i've tried
  18. No, try putting molten lava into your brake and you won't have it for much longer. I can't imagine mercury would work either as it tends to evaporate, in the same way petrol does... which probably also wouldn't work as it'd trash your seals a bit quicker. Caustic soda wouldn't work either, for obvious reasons.
  19. They are smaller yes, but if you buy a new tyre or even a barely used one with tonnes of life left in it'll be fine. I used to have the same problem ask jonny_Mc. I'm sad to say it happened literally every 1-200 yards so i soon got angry and used the quicker way of just dragging/throwing the bike to the next riding place.
  20. Theoretically the only time you'll need to bleed them is when there's a leak in the system. This can be from a split hose, a broken seal or even if you take one of the hoses off yourself. So long as the system stays sealed you won't need to re-bleed it. There are times when you do still need to bleed it though. Sometimes the lever will feel sluggish and slow to respond, this is usually due to a build up of grime that's managed to sneak its way past your seals. Sometimes with water bleeds changes in temperatures can be a need for a re-bleed. Going from a hot country to a cold one for example can have an effect on the water in the brake. With some third party levers though like the RB levers air can be let in through the lever during every pull, which leads to the eventual sponginess of the brake and again calling for a re-bleed. But no, so long as your not cutting or undoing one of the cables from the cylinders or lever it'll be fine, changing the brake from one frame to another is usually a 2-3 minute job.
  21. I know, i was joking, we live together... it was a poor joke to be fair though :$
  22. When you say set it up did you undo the mounting bolts (the Tri-align ones) and then pull the brake lever and then tighten them up again? You're probably already aware but if the pads aren't aligned it'll cause part of the pads to hit first, which will make it feel spongy.
