  1. Yep, i'd give that a try as well. I'm heavy myself and havn't snapped a spring once in the time i've had this hub.
  2. Ha ha, nice. Will get pics of mine later on when its a bit tidier.
  3. Do you drink enough fluids? I had the same problem and a quick trip to the doctors and they said that sometimes a feeling of being hungry is a sign that you need to drink more, which is howcome i sometimes feel really hungry again after a really big meal. Glass of squash sorts it out.
  4. Ha ha, yeah i know... usually have one of the best brakes ever though, so if its not working i'm not a happy bunny
  5. My brakes always make a noise, if it isn't then somethings gone wrong. I.E. somethings been spilt on the rim/pads and now it doesn't work.
  6. I trust it when it makes a noise, if its gone silent then somethings wrong and i won't use it.
  7. My front disc makes no noise, just as disks shouldn't. My rear brake HAS to make a noise though, and if it doesn't make a noise i won't use it, i'll go and buy new pads or something.
  8. So you've made it black and white... what about leaving his anodised parts? I'd just copy your image into a new layer, use select>colour range, click the parts you want and click ok, that'll select them. Copy them, paste them on a new layer, move them into place and desaturate the whole image layer behind it. Job done.
  9. Yep, divx works fine on my mums vista laptop, and i can encode dvd footage using nero and browse the internet with firefox open as well, all at the same time. As bongo so excellently put, i think its something wrong with your computer not vista. EDIT: If the display drivers crashing thats the problem, get another one.
  10. If it was me i'd sell it mate, nobodies going to come out and admit to "doing up" a stolen bike as they'd be booked straight away for theft.
  11. Very true. The majority of the frames are produced in factories overseas and getting copyrights on the frames themselves is quite expensive and tedious. As such its easier to just send in some designs and face the reality that the factory will put the design of the parts (dropouts, seatstays etc) into a catalogue and that they'll be used by other clients later on. Some frames are blatantly fake, to the point where the frames are physically identical and have been sold outside of the factory by workers or management. these often crop up on ebay and the like, unbranded but still the same frame. Others are more copies of other frames, counterfeiting isn't really the right word for it but its similar in essence. Take the coustellier frames, these have been proven to be a solid and trustworthy design and thats why they were reproduced by other companies in the guise of things like the onza t-rex, 04 zoo pitbull, bionic something'or'other, and the toxsin 1's. The frames copied the design (in a similar way to oakley and "oakey" sunglasses found in various countries), but as there was no copyright on the design itself it isn't really counterfeiting.
  12. I think marks completely right in that mini essay post, and its almost exactly how i feel about it myself as well. I don't believe in god or Jesus but some people do, and if it makes them better people for it... i can't see anything wrong with it at all. The karma thing though, I don't think it exists at all, and the examples put forwards in this thread seem to fit the idea of causality more than karma. The idea of things having a cause and effect, the whole "be nice and people are nice back" idea is the same thing, similarly I've just drank 3 pints of chocolate nesquick and now i need to go for a piss. I think the idea of karma is supposed to be on a wider basis, in that if you do nice things nice things happen to you. So say you help an old lady cross the street, you might find a fiver on the path on your way home, and that as a theory is something I'd like to believe in but am too scientifically minded to be naive enough to fully believe it, which is why i don't think it exists.
  13. Sugar Leathertower..... Suck on my sugary tower anyone?
  14. Does in my gatecrasher... AND you can fit maggies to it if the mounts are offset for the widest possible width. Doesn't work with brand new pads mind but it can be done.... JUST.
  15. I'd probably go once, but its too far for regular visits unfortunately.
  16. I have no idea, i don't sort that bit out.
  17. Definately agree with you there. I played it through first time on delta and it was far too easy. Especially compared to the "realistic" mode in far cry. The developers have gone down the half life 2 route and are making crysis as a trilogy. They're already in development of the second part of the game.
  18. Colin mcrae DiRT is awesome, such a fun game to play... especially if you have a steering wheel. Only downside is you can't save your replays, meaning some of the best crashes you'll ever see will be just a memory. Bioshock is quite interesting to play, until you realize that theres no consequence to dieing so you can just keep running up to the hardest enemies hit them with a spanner, die, re spawn and proceed to do it over and over again until you finally kill him. The scenery is nice though and its fun playing in the vastly imaginative environments but thats about all its got going for it. Crysis looks phenomenal, if you have a computer that can run it on high settings you'll be blown away. It really is that immense. The storyline is pretty generic but still remotely interesting and aside from a few issues with being randomly resource hogging in places it has enough imagination to keep you playing through it. One of the kind of games where you start playing and just can't stop, but you go downstairs when its finished and you realize its 8.00am and you've been playing solidly since lunchtime the day before. Dark messiah of might and magic is another game thats got an imaginative story and immersive environment with some unique game playing styles letting you choose a multitude of different ways to play the game, giving everyone a different and hopefully good experience. Some of the battles with big enemies really do fill you with a sense of panic and fear as you fight them.
  19. Ha ha, wicked! You tried their 20a compound? We got given a bit of that too, useless for pads but damn that thing is fun to play with. Its currently stuck to my fridge due to the fact the rubbers so grippy, no glue or anything... just press it on and it'll stay there till you pull it off.
  20. Please don't use that brake pad for anything more than slowing you down whilst both wheels are on the floor. Spend 5 minutes with a sharp stanley knife (watch those fingers!) just cutting out the basic slot shapes for the backing and pull those two little posts out of the backing to make life easier. Currently helping boumsong out with cutting and testing of his new pads and theres no way i'd risk using something like that. My current setup is as primitive as this:
  21. Ha ha, thats pretty good thinking to be fair. Fair play to him, hope it works.
  22. The 7800gtx won't cut it playing crysis at full at 1900x1200. In fact, there are very few cards that can do that and the majority have to lower the settings in order to play at a resolution that high. If you buy an e2180 and overclock it to 3.0ghz it runs a bit faster than an e6850 at stock speeds. 4gb of ram WILL help with crysis as the textures are huge. I'd also be inclined to say that a 768mb 8800gtx would be better than an 8800gt because theres more memory for the large textures.
  23. Dunno really, mega bored. 24. I know, its just he said he doubted anyone has started off on a nice personalised bike.
