  1. If that were the case an anti-static wristband wouldn't be recommended whilst working inside the machine. And thats just for your hands... they don't build up static charges constantly. To give you an idea of the difference, you can do the hair raising balloon trick by charging the balloon on a hoover nozzle
  2. And replace said dust with static discharge from the end of the hoover. Nice plan. Please don't use the hoover in your pc unless you either don't care about it or know vaguely what your doing.
  3. Well if you want to take that approach try looking for kiddie porn and see if you get the police seizing your computer... i mean, with everything on the internet being legal and all that. NO ILLEGAL FILES OR LINKING ON THE FORUM! Its also nice that i can know when to say IN now
  4. There is an easy solution to that problem. Bring her along and make her hold the camera

  6. I've no idea, though with this version of Casino Royal actually being a remake of the 1 hour US televised show in 1954 it could come to be that they actually remake Dr No as well. Who knows?
  7. Hey? By recent films i mean "films to date, as opposed to the books". That includes Dr No, and everything following up until die another day. The books show the REAL james bond, and that's something CR and QoS are trying to get back to. How flemming intended bond to be... not some Hollywood directed chauvinistic womaniser who's jumped up on pain reduction meds. James Bond as Flemming saw him was a lot darker, with a much more sinister edge to him. He was cold, calculated and intelligent. The movies depicted him as being a sarcastic individual who didn't take anything seriously because he was immortal. Hmmm. In that sense, you've been conditioned by the Hollywood exaggeration of the bond stories and as such you think the new ones aren't bond-enough. Ironically, its actually the other way around. Confused to how the new films fit? It goes Casino Royal, Quantum of Solace, something in between (ie film 3) then Dr. No etc. The directors said though that these are going to be prequels into his character, but not so much into the surrounding world and older films. They're revamping the series and starting from the beginning showing how bond is REALLY meant to be.
  8. Be a real man and use an angle grinder I did my headtube and seatstays on the rex with a grinder and it looks very neat. I did also think about getting some hardcore sanding equipment and sanding my tubes down a fair bit to remove excess weight from the top of the downtube and the rear traingle etc. i figured the frames 2,500kg so the tubes must be like 20mm thick Removing paint and shining up to silver without applying lacquer could reduce a few hundred grams as well. Water is 1 kg a litre so if you've got a 500ml layer of primer, a 500ml layer of top coat and some lacquer on top then by removing it you could effectively save 600-1300grams (really rough guesswork). Drill any gussets, remove any disc tabs if you don't use them, cut knobbles off tyres (tell them they fell off ) Tried a light bottom bracket by any chance?
  9. I guess you a "the world IS flat" kinda guy then The old bond movies were i guess, small cornerstones for our culture yes, but the actual storylines and scripting in them was farcical. Casino royal was the first bond film i really went "oh wow" at, with the day after tomorrow being a close second. Bond was never about the gadgets and the girls, you've just been conditioned by the recent films. There was absolutely no sense of realism to the old ones in so much as they bordered on being largely comedies. Bond isn't a superhero, he's just a man. He shouldn't be able to survive multiple explosions and massive fistfights without getting a bit damaged himself. Casino Royal was good in the fact that it gave the bond series an edge, brought them to life and turned the franchise from average christmas eve tv movies to exciting, involving and believable scenes of pure awesome. This classic scene here is a perfect example of the level of stupidity the old films presumed the audience had. I reckon once the bond ideal has been instilled with the new style of films the more bond-like features will be brought back in. The Q branch for example. Casino Royal was very much daniel craig "becoming" bond, rather than just setting him into the role straight out the starting gate. You saw him progress and grow partially into the character we recognise (hence the bond, james bond line being at the end) and while i've not seen this one i'm hoping it shows him being far more focussed on revenge and being insanely reckless in his approach to anything and everything.
  10. Leicesters [tony the tiger voice]GRRREEAAAAATTT[/voice]
  11. Outline from the rain. I was looking through these pics thinking this reminds me of the mjcycles vids from a few years back, same "look" to them.... Then i noticed the date of the starting post
  12. How does that help? As far as i can make out your implying that because rex's have silver rear triangles they can't be resprayed well? Back on track though, i did mine all black and it looked awesome. Now it looks used and abused again, rex's love dents and scratches though.
  13. If your wanting to buy a new bike check out ebay or have a look at whether someone from the classifieds section will deal with you outside of the forum. No trading in new members chat.
  14. That combined with his username made me
  15. Ever wondered why mods have green writing?
  16. Been busy playing fallout 3 Then had to sort out an image to show dan that the forum looks all "matrix"esque to us moderators
  17. Switch it off, take the card out and replace it securely (ie make sure its not only half in) and do the same for the power cable if it requires one (will be a black 6 pin connector). Switch the machine back on again and go into safe mode like hazmat said and uninstall the old drivers. Install new ones for this card fresh from the nvidia website and away you go. If your changing from onboard VGA make sure to disable onboard in the BIOS and make sure pci-e is enabled (if you're getting to the windows load screen i assume thats fine). if your changing from an ATI card to an nvidia one download driver sweeper and remove all the old drivers with that after uninstalling (an uninstall will leave loads of crap behind that sometimes annoys other cards) then re-install the new drivers. Should sort it all out for you
  18. Technically the car has built in safety features, where as your head doesn't. So in terms of importance to your safety, a helmet is far more important
  19. Nope your right, adding lube doesn't do anything to stop or remove them. The best and quickest way i've found is to try to bend the chain gently laterally. Just grab each side of the stiff links and give the chain a couple of wiggles sideways and the stiff links are gone. I'm not gonna tell you about the time i snapped a kmc within 3 hours and repeatedly snapped it for 2 weeks until i got a KHE. It was one of the silver-black-silver-black ones though rather than the all silver. I talked to donnovan about it too and he said the kmc's with intermittent black links are a bit snap happy. The all silver ones are fine though. That's not a good thing, though to be honest with the way you've written that post i'd be more inclined to think a lack of care while chain joining is the main culprit.
  20. Nah, your all gay if you go to bunny on saturday. I'm working saturday so either wouldn't be around when you all get there or would be there and need to go back for work. Whereas sunday i'm off all day http://www.trials-forum.co.uk/forum/index....howtopic=127632 For saturday though... It'd be easier for me to ride saturday as well if its round town as i can head off without needing a lift.
  21. I ate 3 week old bockwurst sausages (jarred ones) 3 weeks after they'd first been opened and that were left in the cupboard, not the fridge. I eat everything though so don't take me as an example.
  22. If youi have a decenty tensioner it isn't a problem
  23. The KMC kool is okay for a fairly lightweight solution, though i'd go for a KHE collapse personally as they've always lasted me a fair amount longer. I've heard mixed things about the gusset tank, but having not used one myself i can't give a valid comment. Go for a KHE unless your under 11 stone or a complete weight weenie, in which case go for a KMC kool (all silver version)
  24. My current list gets the pc to a much better spec whilst only being £50 more expensive.
  25. Danny's is the best, only i'd drop the processor down to an e2180 and pick up an arctic cooling freezer 7 pro (lga775) for £12 so you can speed the chip up to around 3ghz (mines at 3.3 currently). I'd also go for a larger hard drive because they seem to get filled quite quickly these days. I'd probably switch the RAM as well to the 2gb set as unless your running a 64 bit operating system the maximum RAM allocation will be 3.3GB. The prices on that place are a bit high though. I mean the OCZ 2gb ram set is £39 and i just picked up a 4gb set off OCUK last week for £31.
