  1. a crappy vuelta airline thing for the practice one and an echo 07 that was attached to my bike.
  2. It could be anything really, as it can come from a large amount of places in the world. Apparently its the reflection of radio signals due to the occurrence of very specific weather conditions. In layman's terms there's some clouds that bounce the radio channel back at the planet and your speaker picks them up.
  3. It most certainly is. My speakers at my parents house seem to pick up some french broad. What can i say, my speakers pull more than i do
  4. Shit, sorry dude. Didn't realise you'd asked for help. I forgot to check the thread. I'll write you a well informed and lengthy reply either later tonight or tomorrow morning. Whichever is soonest for the alcohol to wear off :$
  5. I'd imagine it being some sort of complication of the analogue-digital converting between the digital signal in your soundcards processor and the analogue style line-out socket of your speaker jack (3.5mm)
  6. Your either not wanting what your asking for or your an idiot. If a grind didn't involve a grinder it'd be called a rim-file or a rim-scratch.
  7. http://shop.ebay.co.uk/items/_W0QQ_nkwZcam...QQ_fromZQQ_mdoZ Then either some morduant short 902's or.. these, with rough "new" prices. Should be significantly cheaper on the bay. B&W DM600 S3 - £200 KEF iQ1 - £230 Mission V61 - ~£200 (I think?!) KEF iQ3 - £280 B&W DM602 S3 - £300 Dynaudio Audience 42 - £400 If you can't find any cheap ones have a gander on the richer sounds site. Don't get pc speakers. Please. If your even remotely audiophilic you'll be kicking yourself when you realise how you could have spent your money much better. I know i did. I'd be far more inclined to get nicer stereo speakers than a 2.1 system anyday. Especially if your in towers, you'll be getting complaints from people below if you have the sub at any level worth having it for. Plus you'll have decent speakers for when you want to upgrade the amp in second year.
  8. If you google his board model number it tells you its pci-e
  9. Most likely? Most f**king likely? If you had enough of a comprehension on computers you would know that you HAVE to install new drivers when replacing the graphics card. Especially going from a 6 series to an 8 series. If you don't know what your on about don't contribute to a thread asking for technical help. I reckon spending the extra £15 and getting an 8800GT would be far more beneficial for him. Then getting the RAM at either a later date or getting a cheapy 1gb stick off the net for a tenner. You'll be wanting something like a 1gb stick of kingston ddr400 or pny ddr400 (for ultimate cheapness).

He's talking rubbish really. If you have a decent sound card or decent on-board audio then you'll be fine. If not, stick £40 of the budget away to one side for either a creative X-Fi or an M-Audio music card. The difference they make is phenomenal and if your spending that much on speakers a decent source for the sound is a must. Currently looking at a yamaha 5.1 a.v/receiver, some morduant shorts and a decent sub for myself at the minute. I'm looking to spend about £120-200 on the receiver unit then fitting some bookshelf speakers to it in a 2.1 setup for the time being... slowly adding new speakers as i get some money to spend on them.
  11. Ha ha, yours makes that more like a paper cut
  12. It is illegal so shouldn't really be talked about on here, but torrents are far better and usually safer places to pick them up from. They usually come with about every game you can think of for the specific rom as well.... like 234 n64 roms plus a host of emulators to play them with. I like the legend of zelda... a lot
  13. My smart guys are still going strong nearly 2 years later Not the prettiest of forks, but they're doing the job for a 16 stone rider who bunnyhop taps/hooks.
  14. Go to a card that got replaced by another model and discontinued because it was so shit?
  15. Am i missing the price of this thing? Also for a gaming pc that graphics card won't suffice, 1gb of ram on a card as not-powerful as that one will be more of a hinderance than a help. I've seen a fair few benchmarks where people have had stupid amounts of ram on slow cards and the lower ram'd ones usually end up faster. You'd be much better off with a 512mb 8800gt (which can be had new for around £70-80 now). For a general banter at low-medium settings it'll be alright though. f**k knows what that power supply is doing in a system so out of spec for it though, if you chose it yourself... may i ask why? Ditch the power supply, get 4gb of ram not 3, use vista 64 not 32 and change the graphics card. Depending on the price of the thing i think it'd be cheaper to order the parts yourself and then pay me or mark £50 to build it N00b, he wants to aim for the second lot of requirements you've jumbled in there. His graphics card is slower than both Cheapest way would be to ditch the 8600gt and get an 8800gt instead. About the same price as a new hard drive... MASSIVE difference in favour of the gfx card.
  16. Try and keep your rear brake off as you swing the back wheel through as well. I made the mistake for ages of having my back brake on. Tried it without one day and it was 100x smoother using possibly a little less room to do it.
  17. I know, but they ARE a minority. With recent topics about the numbers of people who actually turn up to competitions being at an all time low as well i just didn't include it. Theres also the fact that as its a universal cleaner he'll be wanting the best coverage he can get, the trials comp scene is pretty small in comparison to street riding and once the word gets round about the cleaning product its not going to be effective marketing as there isn't a massive flux of people coming and going from the comp scene, its all pretty static turnout-wise. If he were to get in contact with DH/XC riders though and get some onboard it'll be much better publicity for him though as they get mucky VERY frequently at downhill events and tracks where quite a few spectators go to watch. Unfortunately, the trials comps are nowhere near that kind of level of publicity.
  18. I get exactly what your saying, its not hard. I don't think you got what I was saying though I mean, of all the biking disciplines surely choosing the one where the bikes get dented and scratched all up to hell and that barely ever get mud on them isn't the best way of advertising your product... which IS universal as far as your saying. If someone saw your sticker on a trials bike thats been well used (you are looking for good riders who are still riding) then they're going to see the dents and scratches and associate it as not being clean. I know scratches don't equate to cleanliness but for the general public thats the kind of association they'd go for. Boy racers was just an example, change it to F1 drivers or rally drivers if you want... its still the same point. You'd be far better signing up to some downhill forums and things as well and suggesting the same thing to them. The bikes get far dirtier and if you can provide a cleaning product that you just spray on and rinse off (they clean them fast between runs) without affecting the disc brakes performance then i'm sure there'd be some decent riders who'd do that for you. It would look better having really mucky bike sports like DH and XC in your group as well as trials rather than just trials. Also have you decided on how its going to be applied? Spray? Cloth? If its a spray its undoubtedly going to be hitting rims and discs etc, so have you checked to make sure theres no long term effects on braking setups and bearing seals? If its applied by a cloth is it quick to do so or are we gonna be looking at spending over an hour cleaning bikes with it? What happens if some of the chemical isn't fully rubbed off by the user and its sat on the bottom bracket seals/bearings? You need to make sure its 100% okay for its intended use, which you may or may not have done... just thought i'd try and give some helpful advice.
  19. Most of the camera phone pictures are taken in clubs or at bars of people with their friends. If someone were to build a decent focusing camera phone with a bit of a flash to it (none of this led shite) and have it with good noise reduction then i'd buy one fo'sho. As it is... i'm far more tempted to buy one of these and no more nails a swivel hinge onto it so i can stick a compact camera to it.
  20. Pressure washer? It might be better, looking to sponsor people who are more likely to use the product; Boy racers and what not might buy it, i don't know... but you get the idea.

    £1000

In case you hit somebody or something and have to pay out your own pocket rather than letting them claim on your insurance?
  22. Boom! $200 million dollar budget and the only decent actor is christian bale, who lets face it has never ever done a bad film (i mean produced a performance not worth seeing in a bad film). Thats a whole lot of stuff thats going to be blown up What do you reckon, Epic or Fail?
  23. No picture = Didn't happen
  24. I'm lazy so i'm not translating the webpage so i can understand it. I will however put my name here rather than not at all. Chris Jacques
