  1. Makes me think of the nit in the episode of Brass Eye, where Chris Morris is narrating over his owning voice repeatedly saying "vomitting vomitting vomitting...........". Could be a worse colour, but I havent decided what colour could be worse yet. Is it faster in yellow though?
  2. I saw you on hat f**ker earlier. Looks like it puts your body weight right over the front wheel. And your bars looked massively wide. I like my Pashley best.
  3. Press the eject button, and pull it out.
  4. A Kona Caldera frame A Pashley 26 MHz Some Saracen forks 3 sets of middleburns Untold chainrings Couple of chains A D521 Many shimano hubs FSA cranks DDG bashguard DMR bashguard A HS33 lever body A syncros bottom bracket Not too bad for 8 years of riding
  5. Nice vid I thought. I liked Ali C's vid a lot more, but then it was longer.

Im at South Bank Uni. If your thinking of doing anyting design related, I seriously recommend going elsewhere. Im studying Special Effects Design, and I havent learnt much in almost 4 years. The place is an absolute shambles. Plus Elephant and Castle is a nasty stain in the pants end of South London. Sorry about being off topic, just thought the fella needs to know about what hes letting himself in for.

Proof is in the pudding so to speak. How about a radical idea?????????? We decide once its been tested to pieces how long it lasts, as opposed to judging its strength on looks and hearsay. Onza make and sell bikes. Must of us dont. They know more abut what they are doing that the vast majority of the people on here. This thread has also brought out from the woodwork certain members who evidently dont know anything about bikes, as well as those who do. I guess some people are always going to be a misplaced hammer in the sharp knife draw.
  8. If you think what it would be like to land on a rail with skateboard wheel sized wheels, then with wheels as big as huge, massive round.....tractor wheels, forget things like tyre depth/ pressure, purely talking radius here, should help to clarify things in your mind. Then with this analogy in hand you can then explain to your father that he is right or wrong dependent on whether he said 20 or 26 would be easier. Dads are usually quite dumb in my experience. Ive only ever had one, but hes a bit dim at times, but if your dad is Stephen Hawkings or perhaps Phil Collins, then your dad might be clever.
  9. I voted for both the same, bacause you gave us the choice of 20" and 20". Id say 26".
  10. Steel every time. A good steel like Reynolds 853, wont be significantly heavier than an aluminium frame, something will 4130 will put the weight up by a pund or two, but you can lose that weight in things like tyres, drivetrain or not drinking at weekends. It wont matter too much what it weighs if it rides well enough.

I beams get their strength from their shape not from the material, similar principle to a plate gusset. Think about it for a second. Im sure you have the intelligence. As for the chap who referred to me as a f**king tard. Hes not worth a mention.

I dont like it much. The machined bits look weird. Saying this, I cans see why. The headtube bit is basically an "I" beam right? "I" Beams hold up houses. I think it has the pottential to be very strong. No one has ridden it yet, but popular opinion didacts that its shit!!!! I know I wouldnt like it. Ive never liked mods, but I reckon it needs to be given a chance. Its not worth falling out with people over the sake of a prototype frame that may or may not ever see production. Its not pretty, but neither are submarines, and you wouldnt want to sail underwater in anything else.
  13. Sorry couldnt help it. Just written my dissertation, so can only talk in academic tongues. Tis true mind.

Looks a bit "special." Another frame full of holes. Im going stick to my unique, innovative and highly original twin triangle design made from 9 tubes.
  15. The reason we have our brakes round the "wrong" is because of the way we drive on the "wrong" side of the road. If one were to be indicating right, that is to go across the opposing lane of traffic as one makes ones turn, one would find oneself having to stop in the centre of the road whilst waiting for a gap in the opposing directions traffic. Thus it is safer to be covering the rear brake, whilst indicating with the front brake hand, avoiding going over the handles bars into the opposing directions traffic. This is assuming of course, that most people who ride a bike have very little in the way of bike conrol, and that there ia a god. I think you are being unnecessarily harsh on the guy who started this topic, some of the comments are starting to sound like racism. Its a very genuine question, and something we have probably all thuoght about at some point with regard to our continental couterparts.
  16. It makes you one of the worlds most evil people. Your desire to progress has caused the death of thousands of innocents, and the destruction of towns. Also you frighten cats. Just joking. Its a very valid point. I think if you want to see how you fare against other riders, the best way to do this is to ride a comp. Or go on a big group ride. I personally dont like to compare mysef to anyone (if I did I would be dissapointed). I just like crashing my way up things and playing on rocks. Whatever floats your boat. Id say any gap over 6.5feet, ups over bar height, and 32" plus side hops is a decent standard.
  17. I do. I drink plenty. Find it gives me a headache in the morning though. After a ride I normally drink about 4 to 5 pints of fluids. Am I drinking too much?
  18. I lift one pint weights. After 5 or six repititions, this excercise soon cathces you out. Also I excercise my lungs by depriving them of oxygen, and replacing it with CO2 and nicotine. I dont do any training. I just ride. Unless archery counts.
  19. Heres my dream bike........its called the "Moxx Treble Boost"
  20. Just ride......if you're not enjoying it, you will soon realise.
  21. As for criticism. I think you're asking for some real nit picking here. I prefer the Ashton in red. It looks faster!!!!! Thats all I can pick on.
  22. That vid was top. Absolutely spot on. Loved the music, the riding, the way it was filmed.............e-tc. I think thats one of the all time best films Ive seen on here.
  23. Graham Coxon did an amazing cover of "Thats When I Reach For My Revolver", by The Mission Of Burma. He also covered their song "Fame And Fortune". Its on The Goldne D album, which came out a few years back. Pavement also did a blinding subtle pisstake of 1979 by The Smashing Pumpkins.
