  1. Wiggle should be with a cpaital W, seeing as its a noun and all. Sorry just felt compelled to bitch about the spelling, as first and foremost, this is an English grammar forum. Secondly, Ive heard many a good thing about the Avid mechanical discs. Im not sure which models are which, but people do seem happy with them. The whole spelling thing on here is extremely facile, and it gets right on my tits. I think the spelling rules are more for those people that speak in "f**k wit" text speak.!!11!!!!!!!111!1LOZ!!!!!!!!111!!oh my god!!!!!11!!!1!!
  2. The sections looked immense, shame it was filmed by a blind bloke. Would have been better to watch in braille. The music was trash, dont bother with the vinco one, it exactly the same as the Hermance one (heard he was dead - actually. Obviously it was a lie) except it plays as a slideshow, which makes it absolute crap. 3. As a memeber of W.A.R.B.L.E (Whales Are Really Born in London England), i take offense to your article which is a blantant attempt at satirising something very very serious and obivously close to the hearts of all those Londoners who came to "aid" the stricken beast, by providing it with the necessary quantity of squid from the heart of china towns markets. Thus preventing its untimely demise, and guiding back out to sea. Yes, I was also deeply saddened at the death of Diana. I saw her on tele once, and she seemed very nice. I also cried pints of tears for george best, as I once read an article about him in a newspaper, and he seemed like a very decenet gentleman. Actually BALLS to the above hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha Top work mister
  4. My father is a road cyclist and has some friends that race professionally out in Belgium. I have had it on good authority what it is they do. Theres a reason why the drugs they take are known as "Belgian Mix". If one top cyclist starts doping, then everyone else has to, just to catch up. Thats how it goes. Look at Marco Pantani. Lance even said it himself. If it werent for the cancer, he wouldnt be the cyclist he is. The treatment reshaped his body, and made him less top heavy. I was being sarcastic about the cancer to be honest, I have a dark sense of humour that tends to upset people at times. I dont agree with being PC. In road cycling it is all about who can hide it the best. They nearly all do it to some level. My father will take pro-plus and drink coffee before a time trial, and hes just a club rider. thats standard practice. In trials the drugs are pointless unless its fish oils to make your brain work better. The only reason they dope test is because its UCI, which goberns all cycling and has to remain impartial about the rules its sets out, for this kind of thing.
  5. Trials unlike road cycling, is hardly the sort of sport where performance enhancing drugs are going to give you a significant advantage. when you are as talented a rider as Vincent, would you really need an extra advantage? Its nothing like road cycling, where there is still a strong doping culture. You have to be doing drugs better than the next man, or have had chemothrapy in the last 10 years to be of any significant use.
  6. I got bored of that one pretty damn quick. a) bloke is wearing a thong!!!!!!!!! The music was flipping awful. Thats always an instant decider for me. I cant stand hip hop. Especially 50pence. Man if only the guy who shot him 9 times had one more round. but I digress. The riding was ok. I laughed at the bow legged manual down the wall. In those stupid trousers, probably with said thong on. I think if that guy has one nasty accident he would cut himself in half.
  7. I have a very old ES3 in my shed that wants a new hanger, still going strong. Couple of small dents and thats it. No cracks. Vest riding frame ive ever had..............if only it were steel..........
  8. I do a similar thing with photos to make stencils with. Take an image, desaturate it to turn it b+w then play with brightness and contrast until its entriely 2 tone. Drop the reolution to stop the black areas "bleeding", then print, then photcopy to the desired size, glue it to some card, and cut it out. Theres a little more to it than that, but it makes painting so much quicker.
  9. Without doubt, Pashley 26MHz is my favourite bike. Ive had 2 of them. Followed closley by the Echo ES3. If it were steel it would beat the Pashley. But it isnt so it doesnt. Id put Leesons up there too, but I have never owned one. Hope too one day though.
  10. Erm.......................................No They use a special adhesive that would probaly hold the wings on a jumbo jet. Discs can get very hot. And yes the wings on a lot of a planes are glued on.
  11. I used to use 165's and Ive had 175's. With 165's its like going a gear lighter yet with the same torque. Same power with more torque. Apply power/ torque to punching something. Power = The force felt by the punch i.e how hard it hits, torque = how fast the punch moves. Hope this helps.
  12. They are amazingly well marketed, and they are apple. Its actually quite a facile thing to base a purchase on, but its the same with all things "fashionable". My friend had one and it went wrong fairly soonish, so he now has an I river, which he says has better sound quality. His ipod was an older version. 20 Gb i think,
  13. I used to ride about 7 miles from Bridgend train Station to POrth Cawl or Southerndown about twice a week for about a year. Then moved back to surrey and became lazy doing street.
  14. 1998 14" Kona Caldera. Lasted a 18 monthst then cracked it 4am on a freezing november morning riding rocks. At the time it was about as good as trials frames were going to get. You either had a small xc frame or a monty or megamo, which were nigh on impossible to get and took non standard parts like 160mm rear axles. Got a Pashley 26Mhz next, then anothrer one. rode those for about 3 years, then an Echo ES3, which I retired in June then a GMP, which I havent been able to ride much due to injuries.
  15. I use cubase sx so things might be a tad different, but you need to configure the programme to recognize your soundcard. Then you do a new project, add audio track, choose whether you want mono or stereo (best go for mono) then press * (keyboard shortcut for record) and play the thing. When done hit space to stop it recording and it should work. Unless you have some guitar amp simulator programme such as guitar rig, the guitar will sound really dry and lifeless, as it just records the D.I'ed signal. So possibly better to mic up your amp if you havent got one. Hope this helps. Sorry I cant say much about coinfiguring the soundcard, but I just clicked away at buttons until the thing worked, so dont know how I did that.
  16. Looks like you've just blasted him out of some sort of laser canon. I like it.
  17. In my mind the ethics are important. But then Im not everyone, Im just one voice that seems to be pissing people off. Like I said though. The onza might hold an appeal, but in my mind they dont at all. Id rather splash out on something bespoke.
  18. I guess I must have very high standards. I like to sit down when I ride. The appeal of a 24" bike to me, is a bike which will be equally at home on the rocks as it is in a skatepark or trails. They just look fun and throwable. Plus they have seats. I also like the idea of it being made from steel, which given the way I ride, negates the need for a reinforced headtube. Its also a question of ethics I suppose. From a business point of view, I can understand the appeal of a tax free zone and cheap labour costs, but would rather splash out the money on something a little less mass produced. Anyhow I digress. I say try a 24. Pretty sure you would enjoy it. Maybe coming from a mod, the zoot would hold an appeal for you, but I'd, say if you can, splash out on something with a seat.
  19. In summary, mass produced generic (usually) cheap crap. They are nothing unique, plus they all have that gay headtube thing going on. At least with a Leeson or a Curtis, you are getting something bespoke, hand made by people that give a crap. Not some robot, or an exploited nobody, selling his soul to the factories for the price of a happy meal every 2 weeks.
  20. Yes go 24. Just dont get that crappy onza. I hate onzas, they are the scurge of trials. Get a proper 24" bike like the leeson. Steel is real and all that.
  21. I run mine just hard enough. Dont know what pressure that is, but its still bouncy enough to feel slow and controlable, but it doesnt blow out.
  22. Absolute class. Thats ace.!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  23. Best way to make yourself invisible is to get a small portable radio, tuned into Heart FM or something equally mundane, and a yellow workmans jakcet. You'd be surprised how well this works.
  24. Gof or the sympathy vote. Just whip your cock out, put it in her hand and cry.
