  1. Cheers for helping to organise this Dave! ^^ Agreed. There must be loads of people who haven't even heard this news as they aren't into trials any more, or just don't use t'internet.
  2. Yeah, that's normal. The pins are only to stop the pads falling completely out, not to prevent shifting in the caliper.
  3. Please update the thread with news, or send us an email directly Thanks.
  4. It's taken a while (sorry!) but we've got saved baskets up and running now. You can save it to your customer area or email yourself a link. You also have the option to email the basket to a friend or relative with a note attached (such as 'buy me this stuff please!'), or you can create a basket and send the link to us to check part compatibility etc. Quite a few people have used it over the weekend so it seems to function perfectly, but any issues do let me know
  5. Are they official Hope pads? What's the width of both pairs? Any pics of the inside of the caliper? And the back of the new pad? Magnet doesn't matter and the hole for the pin is only to stop the pads falling 'vertically' out of the caliper, but I've never seen that before. 'Tearing' rotors is trialsrider talking rubbish again
  6. Managed to wangle a couple more, should be arriving Monday... But have a feeling they'll go fast again!
  7. Ah - thank you Should change the feel of the bike hugely, let us know how you get on Enjoy!
  8. I'm gonna be a douche here and contradict what Sam just said (It's ok, we know each other!) I would probably go with a stem swap instead, it's cheaper (£20 new), easier (7 bolts rather than having to remove grips etc), and will make a greater difference to the feel of the bike than the bars. Something around 90-110mm length and 35 degree rise would be a good shout. There's a few brands who will just stick a logo on the same forged stem from the Far East (which are more than up to the job) so you can probably pick one up from your local shop if you wanted to have a look before you buy. This is the sort of thing though: http://www.tartybikes.co.uk/26_inch_stems/bbb_forged/c41p11644.html
  9. Erm, sort of, I guess. The pressure is nearly as high as a normal disc brake due to the leverage ratio of the lever, though... It would do to be fair, just people don't seem to have tried it!
  10. In for this - thanks Dave Email heading your way...
  11. Nothing! Bah humbug. In all seriousness... nothing apart from £50 on the wife (that's our agreed limit).
  12. Can fit inserts though, if the designer is on the ball. Bad pic but... http://fcdn.mtbr.com/attachments/brake-time/840800d1382406979-my-ghetto-rigged-xtr-m965-post-mount-imag0588.jpg We get a lot of people getting confused with +20 mounts, there's pros and cons to both...
  13. Yes, but the leverage ratios will be allllll over the place - disc brake lever has 'more power'.
  14. Know what you mean dude. It's definitely less gay than a totally standard one to be fair (which I drive every day), haha. Have a soft spot for that shape Civic, seen a few on track days and they always go well!
  15. Nearly - the pivot location is slightly different (thus the body and lever blade differ a little), but the fittings, piston, seals, etc are the same.
  16. ^^ Yep, looks shit Nah, that is one of the more 'manly' ones, but all the aero and scene stuff doesn't look right. Have you driven a Mk1 Mikey, out of interest? Not a loaded question - just curious!
  17. Haha, I was waiting for that Pretty much, they look gay but drive ace.
  18. Can't see the outside of the car when you're driving it
  19. Everything should be answered here: http://www.tartybikes.co.uk/pages/terms_and_conditions.html#ordering Feel free to fire us an email if you have any more questions
  20. http://www.tartybikes.co.uk/other_frame_spares/echo_m5_integrated_chain_tensioner_bolt/c127p11606.html
  21. Good for the road as an 'OE+' type pad, adequate for mild track, useless for hard track.
  22. Claire's dad has a mill he converted to CNC, likes doing little jobs like this, can put you in touch if you like?
