Yeah, its a Viz rim. Width is 42mm, says in the description. Where did you hear this 'Strongest 19" rim' thing from? Just curious!
-
Thats shouldn't affect it - its only worn on one side from using the hub with dead bearings in the driver.
-
You need the one they haven't got in stock. And... Jesus christ, £19 is steep!! Shouldnt be paying more than about £8 really...
-
You need to deform the rotor plastically - by forcing it past its elastic limit. Time won't do this. And clamping it flat won't produce enough force. Dont use your hands - it will put oil on the rotor. Get a clean adjustable spanner and do it like that.

You might want some lube in there Jason, or it will die. Finish Line XC Wet works well, or a bit of car motor oil.

On 26"/Stock bikes only, that is <_<

Might as well then! Meet at 11:30-12? (I need a good night's sleep for once). Will update the first post now... Cheers, Adam

Might have been Gilles Coustellier <_<

Unless you get the right stem! The difference you may have felt was due to the stock having more reach. Something the High BB bikes do is make the effective cockpit shorter. But sound advice there Phil (Y)

Wicked Game - HIM (Original by Chris Isaac (spelling)). Not that heavy, but an awesome tune! Edit: I've actually got 2 versions of that cover - the one that isnt the 'New Version' is better (Y)

Im guessing the weather's gonna be crap, haha, so how does Kebs sound? Don't fancy the hike up to Blackstone either (Y) Hopefully Sam'll approve!

Guess you could chop it down Sam. However, these 'Allen Key Skewers' are M5 thread, which, arent as strong as M6. They dont hold your wheel any tighter than a good quick release, they just weigh a bit less, and break more easily. Bolts are lighter too.

I'm pretty sure its a generic hub with a screw-in freehub body. If so, it takes a 12mm allen key fitting from the non drive side of the hub, you have to whip the axle out first. Getting the freehub out is a MISSION. You'll need a couple of strong mates and a big, bolted down vice. It'll make a loud bang as it comes undone. Make sure you're going the right way as well! (Y)

Sweet, cheers Ali (Y) Where's best then? I'm defo up for one of them :D Cheers

Lets hope the 'Tape Rear Hub' is a standard spline pattern... let us know how it goes Mike! ;) Edit: Just checked, they are indeed a Shimano HG spline ;)

Just been forwarded this by my GF... ---------------------------------------------------------- In memory of a great man. Ronnie Barker, RIP. This was originally shown on BBC TV back in the seventies. Ronnie Barker could say all this without a snigger (though god knows how many takes). Irony is that they received not one complaint. The speed of delivery must have been too much for the whining herds. Try getting through it without converting the spoonerisms [and not wetting your pants] as you read ... -------------------------------------------------------- This is the story of Rindercella and her sugly isters. Rindercella and her sugly isters lived in a marge lansion. Rindercella worked very hard frubbing sloors, emptying poss pits, and shivelling shot. At the end of the day, she was knucking fackered. The sugly isters were right bugly astards. One was called Mary Hinge, and the other was called Betty Swallocks; they were really forrible huckers;they had fetty sweet and fetty swannies. The sugly isters had tickets to go to the ball, but the cotton runts would not let Rindercella go. Suddenly there was a bucking fang, and her gairy fodmother appeared. Her name was Shairy Hithole and she was a light rucking fesbian. She turned a pumpkin and six mite wice into a hucking cuge farriage with six dandy ronkeys who had buge hollocks and dig bicks The gairy fodmother told Rindercella to be back by dimnlight otherwise, there would be a cucking falamity. At the ball, Rindercella was dancing with the prandsome hince when suddenly the clock struck twelve. "Mist all chucking frighty!!!" said Rindercella, and she ran out tripping barse over ollocks, so dropping her slass glipper. The very next day the prandsome hince knocked on Rindercella's door and the sugly isters let him in. Suddenly, Betty Swallocks lifted her leg and let off a fig bart. "Who's fust jarted??" asked the prandsome hince. "Blame that fugly ucker over there!!" said Mary Hinge. When the stinking brown cloud had lifted, he tried the slass glipper on both the sugly isters without success and their feet stucking funk. Betty Swallocks was ducking fisgusted and gave the prandsome hince a knack in the kickers. This was not difficult as he had bucking fuge halls and a hig bard on. He tried the slass glipper on Rindercella and it fitted pucking ferfectly. Rindercella and the prandsome hince were married. The pransome hince lived his life in lucking fuxury, and Rindercella lived hers with a follen swanny. ;) ;) :) ;)

Ok, so I need my fix of rocks, and I have a free day Saturday. Anyone up for it? I'm not bothered about travelling a bit, but no more than about an hour, hour and a half... Currently thinking about Heysham, Farleton (still got exploring to do up there...), Back Cowm, places like that. Anyone up for it, rain or shine? Cheers, Adam Edit: Details: Back Cowm, meeting 11:30-12. See you there!

Half in - cut the thread, quarter out - break up the swarf... as a rough guide anyway. Cutting fluid is good to use, but some general oil/grease will do if you havent got any proper stuff.

Yes. M6 x 1.0. These would do nicely: Adam
