i had one, and its not as if there that weak, you can ride street perfectly fine just dont be stupidly aggresive with it and you will be fine

you get many differnent carbon fibre weaves some a lot stronger than others and a lot better quality. it would be hard to figure out what its like, tend to find in low quality cheap stuff there will be little air bubbles. also thats a fake carbon fibre cover over that, carbon fibre raw doesnt look like that.

boardmans are poor quality frames. we have seen them we have taken them apart litterally. alpine were approached to sell them but refused to because they werent up to quality. the thing said about pinnacles being made by iron horse and how thats a good thing i would disagree. iron horse are now bankrupt.

the boardmans are good but they are set up by halfords staff (dont get me wrong some staff ARE good but some arent) the frames themself are a low quality frame hence why the bikes have such a good spec for the price. the sram XO stuff it is similar to xtr and meant to be for competition riders that use the lightweight stuff and can afford to replace it when it wears which is a lot quicker than the normal xt and x9. in my opinion go for aa genesis, the geomerty is spot on the parts are good. you can get an alitude 10 for about that money which is a steel chromoly frame. the genesis and treks come with life time warranty on the frame and crash half price replacements. this is just my opinion. i work in alpine bikes and sell these type of bikes for a living.

just kick up a fuss, ask for there head office number, the area managers email name and number and say you will take this further also ask there names because it includes them into it so they are more likely to try help you out.

he has asked me as a friend to find out ways of bodging it because he cant afford a new frame, i would only recomend a new frame but as he is a friend i will try help him with what he wants.

these guys have got it right. if you do really hate water there is an energy drink called purdeys made out of fruit which is better than your redbull etc but it wont count as your 5 a day try a smoothie also have pasta before you ride and a banana or a good natural cereal bar ie oats youghurt in it not nutrigrain thats soo true its apparantly because your body starts having a come down effect of a mini scale kind of like people on drugs

yeah he bought it 2nd hand for 350 quid its not bad the rest of the bike needs new shock bushes , hope bulb bearings but allround apart from the frame its a bargain.

nope same with a trials bike if your headtube is flared its not good. if your going to be going to front it will damadge more and more and more. maybe not noticable first but it will.

yeah you shouldnt be able to do that lol. they should be pretty hard to move as they are a pressed fit.

nah buddy its like. if it was a trials bike and you took the forks out your headset cup should stay in the frame, but with his bike i can slide it out with one hand, when the forks are in i can spin the cup round and round. hope that makes sense yeah well im really doing it as a favour just looking the bike over for him. anyother time a headtube is flares we say new bike nothing else. but as it is my friend and he asked i thought i would just see. to be honest the chris king idea is the only one i would try at the moment.

Normally i would say get a new frame, but its ashame on the boy he jsut got it and we were looking at other ways of possibly fixing it.

ok well a boy brought in an intense m1 to our bike shop, and the headtube is flared big style. after looking on Tinternet we found out ways of fixing it. welding the headset in loctight. is there an actualy way to fix it ? (i dont beileve there is)

for those interested trek are doing a project one (custom pain scheme) on certian madone toad bikes. they are doing it in america at the moment (try it on there website) you get a custom build (groupsets of your choice etc mix and match) pick your tyres seat stem the lot
