  1. Unsurprisingly, I don't
  2. I can't have a proper project so it's how I'm getting my car fix
  3. Bought this, you've never seen 2 young lads act so f**king twitchy about selling a car, turns out that is largely because the head gasket is blown but it takes a good long while to start overheating. $300 though, the snow chains in the boot and scrap will cover most of that if K-seal doesn't sort it
  4. In considerably less exciting NZ wheeler dealing car news - Bought this for $500 g Had no MOT because the floor is all stoved in where the guys kids beached it at some point, they also seemed to like doing handbrake turns a LOT. A more friendly tester and 2 part worns later = $1000 profit, after using most of the petrol it came with running it to work and back for 2-3 weeks Now I've got this $2500 (making it the third most expensive vehicle I've ever bought) dream come true If you've ever been to New Zealand you'll likely know that being "self contained" with a camper is a big deal, it basically means you have a sink and a toilet as well as somewhere to sleep and have a card and a sticker to prove it to fine happy patrols. This thing has everything any camper would ever dream of and more, worth $6000 easy and anything up to $8000, however I've fallen in love with it a bit and now I'm in 2 minds whether to punt this on or swap it for our other, much smaller camper. Life is hard
  5. First time I did heat wrap I did it dry wearing nothing but shorts, sitting on my bed, up there as one of the stupidest things I've ever done car-wise Looks good though, actually a bit exciting seeing progress, I can actually spot the difference!
  6. Spare exhaust studs/nuts, exhaust gaskets, threadlock, 2 of each tool in the world, beer.
  7. My work sponsorship visa has been approved, I don't have to come back to England for at least another year!
  8. Good description, let us kinda know what happens with it
  9. Those doors were a poor choice
  10. The Peugeot I've currently got to sell has developed an intermittent misfire which only seems to occur when the missus is in the car or someone is test driving it. This evening a guy I'm certain would have bought it went to drive it and the f**king thing would barely even run, much less drive. For this, I am placing blame entirely on whatever Peugeot forum I found on Google instructing the best way to reset the ECU is to disconnect battery for 10 mins then take it for a drive covering as many different loads and revs as possible. This has 100% made it 10x worse, so I'll be resetting it again, letting it idle for 5-10 mins then driving it like a grandma from then on like every other ECU I've ever reset
  11. 150k is nothing, start considering possibly thinking about maybe a rebuild perhaps when it's double that.
  12. Clearly the problem is.... ...The forum
  13. I hope so, I'm almost looking forward to it myself!
  14. I can't wait for you to loosely describe the experience!
  15. Imagine the same power in a MK3 Golf, that I'd run on used oil for the entire time I'd had it, which was slowly blocking the filter, that I'd chosen to ignore suddenly dropping 90% of it's power in the middle lane of the M1 half way through passing a lorry, THAT was scarily slow
  16. I'll say an absence of paint as I've just shined up an Audi wing I did in-between rain showers with rattle cans and 2 go's with 1200 and T Cut equivalent with fairly decent results it's still not as glossy as I'd like but it's not really noticeable so I'm happy enough
  17. Is this the same vaguely described Honda you were road testing to see if Vtec was kicking in yo the other day..? I mean it might not be that bad but it's a braided line you're crimping and everything
  18. Woah, woah, woah, back up there, wtaf, that's rough as f*ck even by my standards !
  19. Forget the photos, this rough description of Honda project(s) is gripping stuff!
  20. Has it not got bungs in the floor you can just remove?
