  1. Also on a similar note - the TartyBikes one still says "Re-opening 21st May"
  2. Never ridden a Czar, but Ben's Giant is great fun! I imagine the Czar to be nice and stiff, and to have a certain 'rigidness' about it, but that's only looking at it's construction etc Try and dig up a few reviews on the Czar, though you won't go wrong with a Giant really, especially for picking up some moves and shizwak
  3. Onzas aren't that bad - for a cheap starter/entry level build they're surprisingly good T-Rexs are built like a tank too, so will take a beasting - perfect for learning trials! Sounds like a plan Look nice stripped and polished (check out a few dotted around in the Full Members Bike Pics thread), and perhaps with some custom graphics thrown on too... If you like the way the bike rides, there's not really much need to change parts other than to upgrade/replace broken bits Take your time doing what you feel is necessary and you're onto a winner
  4. Yay for triangular downtubes! In the OTN thread he says to PM him for details about purchasing frames, though I'd expect maybe he'd add something in the future to make it better for everyone
  5. Had the problem of moving calipers, and it was all down to the bolts being a few mm too long If the Tensile mounts are thinner (lower profile) than the standard Magura ones then this could be the problem If you think this could be causing it, but don't want to go hacking down bolts, just throw a few washers between your booster and the bolt head (to make the bolt that extra 2mm or so further out) and give it a shot Might be worth a try
  6. Where'd you order from and when? If not, somewhere must be able to help!
  7. edit: how much would it cost you to drive?
  8. Just heard from Rowan - He'll be out at some point later on most likely I'll head to the station early and meet you guys around 11ish or so
  9. I'll give him a shout, see what's happening Dan too if he's contactable at all for once!
  10. If you don't mind me tagging along I'll be there Will give you something to laugh at at least... Max-T and some people are also coming apparently
  11. Copy/Pate skillz!!!!1!!!1!one!!eleven Next time, maybe just put in the link, and possibly credit the author, as opposed to making it seem like you did all the work yourself... Thanks BikeMagic http://www.bikemagic.com/news/article.asp?...amp;SP=&v=1
  12. In which case the style of tensioning devices used may undergo some more thought, to overcome the problems. I think things will just get more and more fine tuned, nothing too drastic will become an instant hit, so a lot of the time it's a case of making small changes to see how that will affect things, as opposed to sudden extreme deviations from the norm Yeah, there will always be companies doing the extreme and the crazy, but this usually seems to kick up ideas as opposed to a whole different bike. Things get taken onboard, adapted, and worked into current ideas. To be honest though, none of us can say with definite certainty what exactly things will be like, we can just check it out when it arrives and make our decisions then
  13. Oh dear - however if you want pads just for noise, then I wouldn't say it was Kennard being a 'Dick Bag'... Oh, also, look up punctuation in the dictionary Got it in one - I have a loud brake (rock pads on a grind) but it's more for the fact it works, the noise is there when they work, which is handy for knowing the power will be there when you need it, but a silent powerful brake would be perfect Smooth works, grind works, depends greatly on pads/setup though. End of.
  14. Big enough for me Sofa looks about your size...
  15. Cool, well after 1st July Mat and I will be in the new place, with bags of room for you lot to crash, so will have to get a big group up or something
  16. Yeah, nobody's out as it's shite - got much better things to be doing with my time than hauling myself off my perfectly toned ass every two minutes! Didn't see those near City, so we'll have to get a mission up there at some point I think too Tuesday is next up then! MetCheck gives it being dry then, so let's hope!
  17. Ooh, and since we'll start at TM, hows about playing on those logs in Victoria Park while we're close, and before we head in towards the main shit?
  18. Get up to Bristol during the week, but not Friday Tuesday would be best, as there's some other guys riding too
  19. Not too sure, but if I'm not there by then I'll find you a little after - PM me your number
