on my roady trip over the alps and back, italy to france and back. i got 46mph down one side of the alps ! and i got 37mph pedaling from still ont he flat ! and i was using a 3 speed sturmey hub,!! o love them ! and at 46mph down a hill i had AGES to get more speed, but it just wouldnt ! i was out of gears, and i was tucked like hell off the back, i tried lying into the top tube too, but NOTHING worked, the top speed doesnt feel that fast, but on a set of 8 really steep hairpins,, i was prob goin about 40mph, and i managed to over take 3 lorrys and a motorbike all on the inside. that felt way faster ! iolo.

for £29.99 i can get an alex DX32 from bike dock DRILLED so you dont have to be bothered ace. i just ordered one, same rim. woo iolo.

am i right that this exactly the same as an ALEX DX32 !??? some1 reply soon, cos i really need one lol iolo.

the BEST place for these is the manchester velodrome jumble annual jumble sale. is was ACE this year ! second hand track cogs were £very cheeep ! and so were mechs and other random stuff. iolo.

if its steel and your dad really cant be assed . lol then i can do it, and get your frame re coated.. if its alu. i could also do it, and heat treat the frame afterwards. but that option aint that cheep compared to steel.. what frame is it mate ? iolo.

i cant believe people hav only just found out u can get these sizes. they are track racing cogs, for fixie hubs, iv got a 24 thooth one ground into a bash ring lol

personally im lost.

im presuming they are aluminium cranks, and of course a steel pedal axle. it a vert triky one for bodging, put your pedal into the crank, then drill a 2mm ish hole straight through the crank ends and the pedal alxe, and put a thin nut/bolt through the whole thing, or a split pin, or just some thick wire, and bend both ends, hmm or..get hold of a tensile pedal thread unsert and use that, by grinding some crank away, liek you said, both plans so far weaken things.. but they may get u on your bike for a week ish. bodge away !! iolo.

thanks for good feedback people.. it really nice seeing that people are positive towards all this stuff, the price may change in the future, but for now, i have frames to be working on and its purly high so its worth it on my part. also remeber, its made to your measurments, can be made to your design, it HAS been thought about and shaped accordingly, and its still light enough and its not covered in thin paint that will be nocked off by your legs, its powdercoated and NOPE it is nothing completly new or revolutionary..or a CNC lump but i still like it,, thanks again iolo.

what makes it front specific..?-- why wont it go on a hub ?? thanks iolo.

in my past experience the steel magura boosters on 4 bolt work VERY well.

i really would, just wait till my foots better id be DEFF up for it another time. iolo.
