The specialized sx trail is worth a look I'd say, isn't bad to climb on but when you get to the downhills its excellent. Feels good on pretty much anything to be honest. Fatty don't get a stinky you will regret it.

Some uni bits are shit but the city is allright and the riding in the area is good in my opinion, not just trials to be had. Can get a train out into the sticks where theres some lovely singletrack to be ridden.

Are the through axles for 135mm spacing going to be appearing any time soon? I'm getting fed up with the crap 6mm sockets on the m10s they currently use. Got one on a frame with horizontal dropouts and it keeps slipping, sqewing the rotor slightly so get strange wear on the disc pads making the performance a bit dodgy at times. I would turn one myself but can't get into the workshop at the minute. If there's any going spare I'd buy it straight away.

Sand blasting can be ok with alu frames, just gotta have a person that know what they are doing do it otherwise can do a lot of damage to the welds and such. Using bead blasting would be much more ideal, gives a lovely finish aswell. Still can't believe he did the headtube with a grinder lol

The headtube? looks like he's had it on a mill with a fairly large tool
