I've had red and blues, both in cnc's backings .. personally i think the blues beat the reds, the reds were good but had no noise and no bite and the hold wasnt extremley good as for the blues there awesome, make a nice noise and have shit loads of bite with very good hold. The blue pads are awesome and i would pick there over the reds anyday now that i've ran both pads. The reds were ok i suppose ... they had no bite what so ever though witch i hate, the hold was ok they did slip quite a bit but not to much, overall the blues beat my reds and both pads were used on fresh meduim grinds and were set up spot on. Go for the blues

Kris your rim is hardley f**ked, yeah ... it does have like 12 dents and the sidewall is cracked but you say it's mashed when it's still in rideable condition, so i would say it's not totaly mashed. My Ronnie is mashed up to the max 2 Big flatspots so bad that my tire keeps popping of and rubbing the pads like i don't know what ... but meh, guess i'll have to get a new rim soon.
