  1. I only prefer wide skater baggy pants, but then again, I still live in 2003
  2. Skinny jeans are sooo BMX, real trials riders wear nylon jogging trousers.
  3. I don't know what looks nastier, the injury or the fact that he didn't wax before having taken that picture.
  4. I'd try green locktite. It's permanent for screw thread interfaces but you'll get your headset out again as it's only pressed. It should do the job I heared. And it will be a lighter, but most of all cheaper, solution than buying a heavy deep cup headset.
  5. Euro bb will let you fit all mtb cranksets and BB's. Most road ones too (the ones with english thread, not italian thread) but I don't think you care about that As far as BMX cranks go, you obviously need a euro bb crankset. I advice to get some with a 19mm axle as it will leave more space compared to 22mm axles, this way bigger bearings can be placed. Make sure you bb shell is faced and retapped before installing your new bb.
  6. WTF @ trials-forum mortality rate RIP and condolences to family and friends
  7. You could part together a bike yourself that will exceed all stock bike prices. It'll probably be lighter as well
  8. @ last 4 pages of this thread That was an amazing video.
  9. I mounted a shimano UN72 (XT) square axle bb tonight as well and it worked flawlessly, so the frame's bb shell must be well alligned. On the other hand, maybe this is the problem: All will clear up tomorrow night or wednesday night when i try the bb in 2 other frames. edit: sorry tartybikes for stealing and editing your picture
  10. The bb is brand new. The drag is noticably more than when turning the axle, holding the bb in your hands (not mounted into the frame) I heared now that some other people had the same issue, maybe it's because it's got twice the amount of bearings of a normal bb (4 in stead of just 2) ? This way it offers more strength vs. more drag.
  11. I bought this truvativ bb + the truvativ installation tool and at first the bb-bearings felt ok, rather smooth and not too much drag. I had my bb shell faced and retapped before installation. The frame is a mielec pro2 from 2006 I believe. I installed the bb today up to torque spec and with pedros synthetic grease. This went really easy, the retapping had paid of. When all was done, the bearings felt much worse. There was more drag and uneven movement, sometimes it turned smooth with some drag and the other times there was really too much drag on them. Have any people had these problems as well? Or does anyone have an idea of what this problem could be? The threads on my frame's bb shell have a 22-23mm depth, measured from the side. The cups on the truvativ bb are alo around that size. But i have no idea whether this could be the problem.
  12. should I try it first with an old wheel or immediately start with that hope pro3 wheel?
  13. Yeah but i don't have a truing stand. I'm thinking of getting one, and a dish gauge. It's pretty essential for accurate wheelbuilds unless maybe you have tons of experience.
  14. I run vees and want a dishless front wheel.
  15. I just heared the pro3 bearings are the same size as the pro2 bearings whereas the mono bearings look smaller in the pic I found on CRC. Does anyone have experience with CRC wheelbuilding? Are they good at it?
  16. I'm looking into a front hope hub to match my rear silver pro2. Which one is best, taking durability, availability of spare parts such as bearings and so on in account?
  17. I was taking apart my bike and saw this weird bolt at the non-drive side of my BB. It would be nice to unscrew it so i could maybe clean the inside of the bb. I have no clue though whether it's right-hand or left-hand thread or even whether there is thread or not. Has anyone seen this before or does anyone know if this bolt can be unscrewed or what it's function is? Thanks.
  18. true but you could never recreate the neat anodized paint hope has put on. Besides if something would go wrong and you need to send it to hope for repair, you might want to have their paint on it to avoid warranty issues.
  19. I'm almost ordering a hope pro2 and can't figure out what colour to get. Which one is sold the least? This way I can order one in a colour few other people have. I know there are a lot of red and black ones out there. It doesn't matter if it matches with the rest of my components or not, my bike already looks like a rainbow with bad taste.

They just put the best driver they can find in the world for that particular car in the white suite to drive incredible times.
  21. Don't cut your steerer tube man, just ride with an eifeltower of spacers.
  22. Why not? I'll never quit riding.
  23. Sorry to bump this but i'm looking for a front non-disc hub for my trials bike, in the back i will be using a pro 2 trial. Is the pro3 ok for the front wheel on a trials bike?
