    24uk Bikes

Yeah, but under John Smith the whole thing would never be linked to Triton. 24" is not widely spread in Russia so I do not really push this standard. It is spread in the UK, but the retail becomes HUGE after shipping and customs. I am into trials at the moment. So you will see the results soon. P.S.: Hey, someone had already taken the John Smith account. I should think of some other.

    24uk Bikes

All right guys. I did one massive mistake. I used this "Gazza" account to speak about the Mielec products. I should have signed another account with the nickname like "John Smith" and tell everything using it. What I am trying to say is my personal opinion. I do not want to slag anyone off. I don't want to spend my time on it. I have to fight russian bureaucracy I have gathered my opinion from loads of cases. In the beginning I used the OTN info. Then the Mielecs started entering Russia. And EVERY SINGLE ONE was wrong. 35 mm is one of the cases. People who do not believe me, I can give you the guy's MSN. There is a topic with his frame btw: http://biketrials.ru/board/viewtopic.php?t=28509 There is nothing about rivals mate. We make different products that have different price tags. Man if all the frames have the same geo, then congratulations! You made Mielecs work properly. I am really happy about it. At least someone succeeded with them. The topic starter asked a question and I gave my opinion on this. Calm down, all the opinions cannot be 100% positive. Guys, I am not a BAD Russian man. And I don't really much care what you think of Triton. I know I spend all my time on it and try to work as hard as possible. And probably you will change your opinion and start to like tritons one day. But I am just FED UP with my russian friends who keep on saying every time: "Oh, finally got my Mielec. Guess the BB rise they put!" or "I have a lowrider headtube angle there..." But if Steve's frames are well done, then let's forget my words. Still, keep them in mind if you go for a custom Mielec frame. Peace. P.S.: Before writing that first post I had already predicted the reaction of the public. But telling people the truth is sometimes stronger than the shame you get. And it's not only Steve who works his ass off giving us proper stuff. It is Deng, Rav, Iolo, Dominic..etc etc. We all do our best. Some people see it, some not. Some still think it is done in purpose just to make trialsriders' lives harder False.

    24uk Bikes

HeatsinkBikes frames are made in Poland by Mielec factory. These guys are notorious for making frames with wrong geometry. So many riders in Russia had problems with them. You order 1050mm wb and get 1085. On a mod bike frame. Take a few 24uk frames and measure them. Sure each one will have different geo. The frame would be all right for 150 quid. The price you get it if you order from the factory. But the 24uk retail is so funny. With respect to super quality CNC heatsink stuff, the frames are no good. Believe me.
  4. Nice to see this bike built for the second time! Hey Synergy! Go get brighter pics! Those look sad
  5. I always liked the internal cable routing in my old Klein Attitude. Already had all the tubing ready for my own triton frame. And now I see this beautiful Leeson with the brake hoses in the frame. I am going to make those anyway. Wrote this post so nobody would say I copied it from Leeson. I did it from Klein. This Leeson is soooo awesome...
  6. Voila! Eugene Pinigin email address: pinigin@pinigin.spb.ru
  7. Pay me and I will tell you. Hehe Kidding. I've made and inquiry. They will reply me tomm with email address I suppose.
  8. Eugene Pinigin is the guy who welds them in Saint Petersburg, Russia. Each frame is unique. And they did many 26". Yugo-Zapad means South-West in Russian. This is what the rider calls his team. They are from SW of Saint Petersburg. I think he'd be pleased to see the same sticker miles away from his place
  9. Here is the black one's geo: WB 1040 CS: 362 BB +60
  10. Taiwanese and Chinese suppliers just have little technology in building Ti. they are Alu kings though. They are only in the beginning of their Ti experience way... I don't want to prove my words here arguing to anyone. I just see it by the things they can offer (too few options) and by the things they make (there is one company in Europe that orders their frames in Russia and put the forks made in China..so I can judge). As far as the chainstay and BB yoke are concerned, we solved this problem by adding a box section (the onlu way out it is). Proved to be the best idea. If there is a tube in that place - it cracks.
  11. Haven't got its pics with double disc http://biketrials.ru/board/download.php?id=29006 http://biketrials.ru/board/download.php?id=29005 http://biketrials.ru/board/download.php?id=29004 http://biketrials.ru/board/download.php?id=29003
  12. There is a reason actually. Dropouts on Ti frames are not usually thicker than 6mm. If you make it fatter - then it costs more, it is harder to laser cut/machine it and it will weigh more. Alu frames have dropouts that are thick enough at the end to meet the whole stay tube diameter. In Ti you would have to bend the tube (ovalize it) so it would become 6mm at its end. Bending does not look as sexy as the bullet shaped hollow framing (insert). At the stay side it is round meeting the stay shape. At the dropout end the insert is the shape of a dropout. Easy, nice looking. And it compensates the shapes of two junctions. I know Ti frames where this inserts haven't been used. Still strong and running well. But looking a bit simpler. That was my opinion. I was not letting anyone know. Funny reaction though
  13. You can actually choose what shape it will be at the Chinese factory Whether it is a bullet or a pistol or dildo Concerning the mech hangers....they should be changeable. This is trials, not XC. Yes, you can bend back Ti hangers many times. But if you bend the hanger while doing a sidehop - that means your mech/tensioner gets f*cked every time. Titanium is a strong material. So your tensioner will have to feel all this pressure. Why not put a silumen hanger? It breaks without hurting the frame and drivetrain.
  14. Oh wow... The custom stuff sometimes can be tricky. The same we've got here. Fortunately I have managed to dessuade a few clients from their unusual ideas. There are so many things I would like to introduce in the modern frames but the mechanics and materials don't let me do it. My respect IOLO
  15. Oh....man... Hope it cures quick.. Last summer I was riding in London near Tate Modern....did a gap....overflew the bench, scratching my back on a tree and finally I saw my bike hitting be directly into my nose. I was bleeding for half an hour with people running around me offering help. Got a cab and went to a hospital where I had to wait a few hours. Hopefully I was not hurt much but I looked ugly with blood around... I used to stay at a house in London a couple of years ago. The lady owner lost her dad like that. He had a heart attack and waited for 8 or so hours in the waiting room and then died. She sued the hospital and was interviewed on TV, but that never brought her dad back.
  16. Hehe...I am sitting quiet or they will think it is latent advertising But anyways alu frames should not be compared to custom Ti frames. Those things are from two different worlds. Ti is all about money and waiting. But when you get one, it's amazing.
  17. Enjoyed it. Proper music for a demo vid.
  18. Then hubs coming with the '06 Monty 221Ti aren't very good ones. Then Pedrosa tools are crap. It's all about the force you apply to your tools.
  19. I am a titanium maniac and still there is a number of items on our bikes where steel and alu would be better used. On my Monty Ti hubs I rounded the bolts and it was a f*** stress for me unscrewing them... So I put the steel ones on and happy with that. Yes, Ti bolts don't weigh anything....they are obviously a lot lighter than steel ones...but thanks, no. We have tested a number of Ti grades to use with bolts. And have found the best grade...they will be released in the near future. But it is still a challenge between snapping them and rounding the inner hexagon...torque matters there a lot. By the way, those blue and gold Ti bolts from the tastynuts website should be better than the original color bolts. If they are gold or blue that means they have been covered by a strenghening film in a plazma camera (Titanium Nitride and so on). This technology has been used in aerospace industry. If you find bolts of these color in the retail - get them. They are sure to be stronger than the original Ti ones. Though it could also be a different technology that just adds a colour without making the bolt stronger...
  20. I like your bike Simon Your Deema was the first one fitted with read disk brake. Here is the second one (the guy runs 160mm rotor and says it works really good for him). + he ordered different decals and no magura mounts... He still runs Maguras on front....unusual choice

  22. College Boy, you are completely right Simon, I am really pleased to see this bike. Very nice.
