  1. Damn good effort that Alex make it all shiny and polished and finished nicely and will look awesome. I want one, just the leakiness of them worries me.
  2. Some good riding, if not a bit savage. No wonder your rim bent, you landed totally sideways!

    My Mate.

That was pretty sweet choice in tune.
  4. That was really really good, thoroughly enjoyable. The Zach DeLa rocha track, was that Rage? Didn't recognise it.
  5. If you can get the chain to tension ok then the fun bolts will happily hold your wheel place. I've got a Limey 3 with a CK on the rear and had no issues with it moving in the dropouts, even when the tensioning bolts have undone themselves so are effectively doing nothing.
  6. Then you totally missed the point i was trying to make, trying to ban skin suits because they're gay to some people is as ridiculous as banning skinny jeans because they look retarded to ride in to others. Maybe you couldn't understand my southern accent either that or you took it personally.
  7. I don't think it is. Tar is an easy if not poor substitute for a poor brake set up. A properly set up brake, with a decent grind and a good set of pads will always out perform tar.
  8. Totally with you on this one, tar is filth. Get a decent grind; use a fresh disc. A good set of pads, I use Try-all browns (use the search to find out the best ones and what grind to use), set up your brake properly and get a decent bleed and you'll be sorted braking wise in all conditions.
  9. I've got a Salsa carbon booster and it works exactly as it should and looks pimp, all round win! The Shimano carbon ones are supposed to be really good too; both unfortunately are as rare as rocking horse excrement.
  10. Collective, Seasons, pretty much the whole Sprung series awesome stuff. I've got a few series of Drop In on my comp at home, always a good watch. The Stund series has kinda taken over from drop in.
  11. My point is who cares what he's wearing, compression clothing really does help, just like Vincent thinks those bands tied round his lower legs help him. I personally couldn't care less what anyone wears whilst riding, its what you're comfortable in. Just because a few people don't like it doesn't mean they're going to ban it. With respect to the UCI banning one piece skin suits and helmets with no peak the majority of the riders wanted it too, yes there was a small performance advantage, but the majority of the pro's had the thinking that it was effecting the image of the sport. So its a slightly different situation.
  12. Thats pretty damn nice, weight does surprise me a little, cant see where the extra weight has come from? Pedals, forks? about it.
  13. I can honestly say i didn't even notice him wearing white tights. Meh. Ban skinny jean wearing emo kids on black mods with pink rims if we're going to ban anything.
  14. Anterior fibular ligament in my left foot and pretty much everything apart from my Achilles in my right. Was in a cast for 7 weeks for the right foot. That was 18 months ago and i still get pain from both of them now. In fact i'm sat here now after a 2.5hour ride having to stretch it out because it's going stiff and hurts a lot. Plenty of movement that shouldn't be there in both ankles too. Get a decent physio, get some well thought out exercises particular to your injury and keep at them. Speak to Rich Pearson about ankle injuries he's had worse than me. We're off to see the physio this weekend, same one Andrei Burton, Carlez Diaz and lots of other top end riders use. Simon Lord, top bloke, awesome physio.
  15. Absolutely awesome, precision, power and technique.
  16. That's a piece of mountain bike history. I'd sell it back to Specialized USA, sure they'd want a fair bit of money for it. My mate who i used to work with at a bike shop is currently building a retro re-build of a GT Lobo DH, orginal Boxxers, XTR cranks, brand new Shimano Airlines pneumatic gearing, basically the D's B's from 10/11 years ago i'll get some pics when its finally done, should be amazing!
  17. I cant imagine they're any flexier than a King or Hope wheelset. The only thing i don't like is that it appears you can only but a pair of hubs, there's no individual hub prices according to the importer. Price list
  18. The problem with that is that you can only fit a lower number of teeth if you put the ratchet on the cassette body whilst maintaining a reasonable ratchet tooth size, putting the ratchet in the hubshell, like I9 and Hope allows you to increase the number of teeth and as such the number of EP's whilst maintaining a reasonable size to the teeth themselves. I like the look of the I9 hubs, what is the price for the standard rear freehub or who is the UK importer/distributor? They also make a dishless singlespeed hub for us lot
  19. Well one of the blokes on SDH said he'd managed to turn his Ti spring a nice shade off blue
  20. Found these on SDH forum, for those Ti bolt pervs out there don't know if it works with alu.... Easy guide Second link is his weight weenies blog, bit more in depth: linky
  21. Youtube Video -> ">" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent" width="425" height="350">
  22. I'm tempted to come along this year, see if i can drag someone else along too
  23. You don't have to re-bleed it, dont go waving the hose around, banging against stuff or squeezing the lever and you wont lose any fluid, had to do it twice on my Limey frames and had no issues.
  24. Hmmm its nice to see the northern contingent are covered for, can appreciate that the comp scene is most likely bigger up there but as said a comp on Dartmoor would be awesome. I ride it with Andrei and Joe most weekends and i haven't seen half the Tors up there. Endless amounts of riding.
  25. Enjoyed that mate, some good stuff going down. Where is that spot you were riding at the end?
