  1. Looks lovely, can't wait to get mine built up!
  2. That's fair enough, I'm only 75Kg and can run 18ish psi and they're awesome. Also probably why I find the dual ply Maxxis tyres lifeless as they're too stiff for my weight.
  3. Sweet lil vid that Rich, last gap to front pivot off was cool. Looks like you're getting on with the bike well
  4. I know it's personal preference but I find dual ply tyres lifeless and heavy compared to a Stiky Lite, awesome grip, light, bouncy and pretty good puncture resistance. Just can't see how you can say they're rubbish?! Wish they did a 24" version. When I was on 24" trials I ran lightweight tubes (200grams) in a Schwalbe Fat Albert (690grams) and didnt suffer with punctures, now i'm reverting back to 24" it's the set up i'll be running again. Personally I'd run a slightly heavier tube, slightly lower pressure and ride a bit smoother? Going light and being a heavy rider/bit of basher don't tend to go together too well.
  5. Yeah it's a Ghz, think it's frame 008, original Black pro2 trials on a dx32 rim, middleburn isis cranks with a SKF bb, cane creek headset, heatsink booster. Maybe even the original heatsink snowy pads? Bit of a classic.
  6. That's the idea, as said grease on a square taper bb allows over torquing of the crank bolt which can lead to the generally soft aluminium crank arm deforming causing it to come loose. Copper slip on threads, grease on bearings and splined bbs and don't grease headset cups. Always use a threadlocking compound on disc rotor bolts.
  7. Of which i have a set of white ones for sale which can be yours for £30 posted. PM me if you want some pics at all? Craig
  8. If you want the paint to come out ok and to last. Key the frame with some fine wet and dry, couple of coats of primer and then as Luke said use lots of thin coats ensuring everything dires off before you do the next. If you can make sure you do it in a warm dry environment. Hanging it above a portable heater works
  9. Sweet, where did you get that from? What number is the frame, bet It's 008, should be on the BB shell, not a lot were made in that colour!
  10. Looka like i misased out on a damn good ride! Some really good riding from all. Matt you've hopped onto that proto and beasted it straight away. Monster!
  11. Arghhhhhhh *drops to knees in an "Apocolypse Now" style pose*, can't dude going back to the parentals to pick up the Civic with it's new shiny exhaust. . Soon sir, very soon.
  12. If that's for the rear then I would say no, i would stick with what you have until you can get a Schwalbe on the rear. As for the front that's up to you. Not many great choices, hence i'm plumping for a small block 8.
  13. Damn you all riding Plymouth now I don't have a bike! Both Rich's we shall have to get a ride sorted once my new bike is up and rolling.
  14. Well i ran for a few months whilst i was riding the Onza Ice 24" proto and had no issues on street or natural. I'm definitely going for one again
  15. Just going through the process of deciding on what to buy for mine. I've decided on a Kenda small block 8 for the front and a Schwalbe Fat Albert 2.4 folding for the rear. Not sure on the kenda but its light and the Fat Albert is 690 grams and grippy too.
  16. Schwalbe Fat Albert 24"x2.4" Evo folding. Not cheap, same sort of price as a TryAll Sticky Lite, but at 690 grams is bloody light. Seemed really grippy when I had one too.
  17. Beasty lil bearded b*****d was hid name. Huge stuff as ever. See how he gets on with Echo this season.
  18. The one weekend I'm not in Plymouth and you guys come to ride! Evening tide in liskeard?
  19. Riding exmouth now dude. Space in the car if you want a lift from plymouth.
  20. Getting a little ride together for 11am on Saturday. Meet at the far end of the sea front nearest the rocks on the beach.
  21. Sunday would be better if you can, I know it would suit a few others a bit better too.
  22. Jack,

Chatting to James Davies today and he was saying you're getting some cluster pads? Would I be able to get some please?

    Cheers

    Craig

  23. New there are very few shops that sell them. Tarry do the widest range of specialist trails brands. Other shops will do various brands that are more well known to the mtb world or are aimed at beginners; such as diamondback, Ashton and phase. These bikes are fine as beginners bikes. Although for the money you'll generally get a much better value for money second hand bike from here or ebay. It really depends on what you're looking for? You say you're after a stock, why new? How tall are you? Are you completely new to the sport? What is your budget? With a little bit more info I'm sure we can get you a suitable bike or a good idea of what you're after/can expect.
