  1. Yes definitely, it'd a known and common weakness. Prevention is better than cure and all that jazz.
  2. Looks absolutely beaut! Perfect spec and those forks look so so nice. Envious as Hell!.
  3. Depends very much on the spec. If you can get some pics up or a spec list I'm sure we can help you out. How much do you value your smell at?
  4. Could be up for this Sprog, depending on the weather (wind).
  5. You Sir are sickeningly good! Who needs brakes?!... p.s. I hate you *jealousy*.
  6. I've got the Echo SL 2010 lever hooked up to some Magura slaves, this one: and I find the exact same thing. It's had two bleeds in about 4 months and I can't find any leaks. I find myself adjusting the brake every ride to compensate, but I've never got close to bottoming the TPA out. Very odd. Slightly off topic but does anyone know where I can get another of these levers?
  7. Really liked that, spot was awesome. Nice beard.
  8. Always a good time John, more this year please!
  9. That was awesome, riding was sweet. Really enjoyed the tune and edit. Just worked so well.
  10. Might be worth taking it apart to have a look to see what's going on, but bare in mind that there are no spares available new for these freewheels, so if you've broken something you maybe be looking at a new freewheel or second hand parts to sort it. This is assuming that it is outside of warranty? Where did you get it from and how old is it?
  11. This this is what you need, but yes it comes as a kit with the part you circled and the red adjuster knob together.
  12. The front you probably should have left alone, but the rear he didn't have much choice about as he was changing the caliper shell anyway. Hopes are really temperamental, just ensure everything is clean, set up perfectly and bleed well. Not much more you can do, then leave it alone and ride it. It might bed in and settle down and start working again. The only way I've found to get a working Hope mono is to buy one from new....
  13. I just used a 50mm spacer and modded it to fit. Worked fine, just looked daft!
  14. The knowledge that Nick and Adam will be there fills me with joy. Wouldn't quite be right without you guys.
  15. Getting really good Alex, front wheel moves are pretty dialed!

    Clean - Bpl

Nice. Some mahoosively flowing riding. Really enjoyed it. Ali is a monster on that Hex.
  17. Picking up Ben Moore at half 9 so should be at Copthorne for 11
  18. As long as it's not similar to your infamous New Years outfit from a while ago it's all good
  19. May well be there, 5th year just hope there is no ice like last year....
  20. I've never heard of a bearing race cracking, but then I've never heard of a set if trialtechs snapping at the steerer either. So I don't are a problem with the small radius at all. I know it was a weak point on older rockman forks where the area wasnt radiused causing a stress riser and the steerer to snap.
  21. True but a bearing race cracking seems a fair trade off when you're removing a key weak point that could cause you to lose your teeth.

Some of that riding was beast. Concept of the video was a little odd. That shot with benito at the end reminded me of one thing:
  23. It may be a nice frame and a bit of (relative) history, but £250 could see you buy a very nice inspired and have some change. Which no doubt would be a better investment that will ride just as nicely if not better.
  24. Yup, worked all OK for me when I had to build my wheel up with it.
  25. What's there to know, it's basically an Echo sl hub without the ti bolts and with a regular threaded section. Same dimensions etc. I ran one until the cog split and ruined the threads. Reasonable hub though.
