Very unlikely it's spot as that's primarily used on sheet metal and MIG/MAG are the same thing! Does look really smart though Seems like a well thought out job. If you've got the time, skills and equipment definitely worth doing. Saying that I bought a Pedros work stand: http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/Models.aspx?ModelID=13795 14 years ago and it's still as good as the day I bought it! So they may seem expensive to start but certainly worth the money.

It's only 5mm longer in the wheelbase compared to the old one?! Mine feels really nice and it's 1065...

RP23 is probably the best air shock out there. Set up properly you shouldn't have any problems. Coil shocks will have better small bump compliance and a more linear feel (depending on suspension system) but shouldn't be an issue in your application.

No you're right, mounts integrated into the frame wouldn't be much use to a frame with horizontal dropouts. The concept proposed by the topic starter would be great but only on frames with mounts spaced at nigh on perfectly100mm and that are perfectly square, something very few frames are. Still think integrated booster and mounts like the echo tr and tryall mounts are the way forwards.

Don't know of any riders in torbay specifically, but quite a few of us in the area. Myself and a few others are from Plymouth and ride most weekends around Devon and cornwall. Exactly, it's only Echo and the smaller lower cost frames that don't have in built boosters. I would go to say the majority do have them. Not a fan of how bulky the booster section looks either personally.

That was pretty damn awesome, brakeless trials is just terrifying! Saw these Yess frames on OTN last week, same company that made a pretty nice looking sprung tensioner. Not sure on the way the seatstays meet the front "triangle" looks a little odd where it's not inline with the top tube.

If you want to drop some weight I'd look at your tyres, rims and frame first. For what you'll spend on a Ti BB, which are solid by the way you'd lose a lot more weight spending money on other parts. What spec is your bike, or put up a pic?

Myself and Josh Kydd were saying that this weekend, a try all stiky lite 24" would be awesome. Just can't see koxx coming into the 24" market. I ran a nevegal before and like you say Carl it was awesome, but soooooooo heavy. It's literally half a kilo more than the fat Albert I run at the moment. I might try a big betty, just a shame its almost pot luck on a tyre that cost £40-50.

Aye but the grip needs for DH and trials are very different. I used a panaracer tyre on my DH bike and it was awesome in anything but dry conditions. Put it on the trials bike and it was diabolical, gave no grip on any type of surface, wet or dry. The fat albert i have is this one. The newer compounds (trailstar, vertstar etc) found on the Big Betty have had quite a few issues with wear and nobbles ripping off when used for MTB. Anyone experienced this with trials?

Not really had any of those issues at all. It's fairly unstable at low pressures due to the thinner side walls, but not had any issues with grip on natural, wet or dry or with punctures.

It's not just how the brake performs with/without a booster, but also the frame flexes so much it will probably crack near the mounts eventually if you don't use one.... Rear turret is get a fat Albert or big betty, but as said they're about £45.

I like it, got to agree with Ben on an alternative lock ring tool. BUt then it's choosing a tool type that is widely used in bike shops and people have in their tool box. Next a fixed rear hub, with wide flange spacing designed to take a HG splined sprocket?

Spot on then, personally I'd give it a go, i've found it to be perfect for me and a lot of other people seem to like the way it rides with that stem.

Looks awesome, pretty much the same spec as my echo 24. What length cranks are you running?

If you're looking at the TryAll 3D stem at 40 euros then it doesn't come with a top cap which is an additional 7 euros. By the time it's posted over here it'll most likely be the same cost as from Tarty.....

I'm 5'8, have a 24" Echo Trial and run a 150x30 TryAll stem, TryAll Carbon bars and 15mm of stackers and it feels spot on. Certainly wouldn't want it any higher.

I'm running a tryall 3D mod stem and tryall carbon with 15mm of spacers. Works perfectly for me but I'm a bit shorter than you!
