I liked it as soon as i heared the first note...using the evens is very cool! Great vid aswell, riding was very good!
  3. Damn, i'm going home for that weekend so i wont be in Notts, same as the last friggin one!! Someone please take loads of photos as im annoyed to be missing it, be good to see where you all ride! Have fun.
  4. There not shit in the wet! Granted there not as good as when dry, but i went out the other day and i still have some snowy's in on a light grind, and it was pouring with rain, and it was holding fine, the odd little slip, but noway near ''uttershit'' - must be your set-up!
  5. Check out a lot of early Kraftwerk, some Depeche Mode, Brian Eno, New Order, but theres loads of cool modern electronica thats not overly chliched, such as Add N to (X), Bjork, DJ Shadow, Fingathing, Thom Yorke, Radiohead, John Frusciante (specifically the album 'A Sphere in the Heart of Silence'), Moloko, Goldfrapp, thats just some for now for a few ideas! Enjoy.
  6. Could only manage 2, but had to make them using self raising flour, as when using normal flour i found loads of bugs in the mixture! Self raising flour made them end up like crumpets - very absorbant though!
  7. Same height as me, and i thought i had slightly ape-like arms, but you must be dragging your knuckles along the floor. Do you not find the bike a bit of a stretch for you? Hows it to lift the front wheel with no pedal stroke?
  8. How tall are you with that wheelbase and that stem....? Hope you didnt just take the stickers off because everyone here said it would look better. You obviouslly put them on in the first place because you liked them. Looks very new still.
  9. Looks lovely there, snow here isn't very good... what length/rise is your stem? Cheers.
  10. Thats not a summary of what i said, its a complete dumbing down and mockery... its not exactly the point i was going for!
  11. Usually people who 'read music' are classically trained musicians who are reading a score of an orchestrated piece. Therefore if an orchestra is in the middle of Tchaikovsky's Symphony 6 in B minor, if one of the violinist were suddenly to get a rush of SOUL then i dont think it would quite fit in with the piece, as that isnt a place for improvising, you are following a set out piece of music, and you are following instructions from a conductor as when to change pace, they will get into it in their own way, but you cold never expect the orchestra to play without the music infront of them. Many classical musicians if you were to take a score away from them would find it very hard to play anythign at all, as music to them is about playing set pieces not improvising and writing their own stuff. The majority of music around, from bands for example who have written their own music, memebers would never play from sheet music, thats nto to say each time the song is played live it will differ, it just wont come from a score. For example if you look at a rubbish band like 'Snow Patrol' any of their songs live will sound just like the record, eahc night they're played they will sound the same...whereas with a band like the Chili Peppers or Gnarls Barkley the song will differ each night, whether it be in tempo, feel, or in terms of the chilis, each solo on every performance will differ as Flea (bass) and John (guitar) will improvise rather than play the version on the record. Playing by feel is very important, not many people do it, even less have the bility of confidence to truly improvise over their music, but it is not as clear cut as saying all music shouldn't be played from a score, it depends entirelly on the type of music being played. Very few bands have soul, or even have a great understanding of music, like for example a guitarist having a lot of musical theory knowledge doesnt mean they cant play be feel, as they are constrained by the boundaries of music theory, i can open up your mind, most musicians who say ''i dont know any theory, i just play be feel'', are ignorant and lazy they cant be bothered to learn or dont have the intelligence, written music and understanding the rules beind music is very important, as once you know the rules, you should know how to break them!
  12. The black cranks with the black bashguard look amazing on that bike. Looks really good, some all black bikes look very dull (obviouslly), but theres something about yours that makes it stand out. Looks really great.
  13. I used to run raceface cranks, pro's are that they're very stiff, but the bashguards are so oversized. You can get a 22t bashguard as i used to run one, but if the cranks are 4 arm (which they usually are) then even a 22t bashguard will be huge. Also every set up ive used with raceface, wether it be 22t chainring and bashguard, or 32t and bashguard or 34t single ring, every ring and bashguard i've used has had to be filed due to the profile of the cranks. I find raceface cranks really annoying to use (4 arm) if you've got some 5 arm ones then you might get one great with them!
  14. Silver frame with gold parts........awful, i quite like the look of the GU's but that looks absolutely disgusting. It looks like a poor rappers mouth!
  15. Chainreactioncycles are good for (Hayes) spares and so on..don't know about pistons though, but worth a look.
  16. The music was disgusting. I dont get all this metal music over trials videos, it always looks/sounds stupid. As nearly all videos are sidehops, where no one is moving anywhere, such fast, annoying music doesnt compliment the visual one bit. Watching that just made me angry, couldn't concentrate on the riding, it all seemed very boring and monotinous - just like the majority of videos, all this sponsership crap is so overdone, why is branding so important in trials - do we really need a hundred images of a shop that gives you free gloves and stickers. Cant wait for the full length vid!
  17. From size 10 to 12 is a fair bit bigger, i wouldnbt say 12 is anywhere near average as it is pretty large. Average will be around 8 through to 10, i always thought the average was 9, but 12 is pretty large.
  18. I was thinking that, as nice as it is (im one of the few people that like an own a Koxx bike), it looks frikkin small, those pictures of yuo riding it, it looks like a minature mod so i imagine its rediculously easy to control and move around. Good job!
  19. Found this video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nR2ygFn-yR8...ted&search= Thought it was pretty impressive considering there on road bikes....looks like a lot of fun!!
  20. Looks really nice, i like these bikes a lot, but you have to get rid of that gold QR im in the process of removing all gold parts off my bike. They dont sit well with blue!! Enjoy.
  21. Mine skipped regulaly when i first got it, but after a couple of months bedding in and settling down its hassle free. I used to be concerned about hubs skipping because whatever hub i was using before the pro2 always skipped, especially my last hub which was a bulb, but since the hub has settled down i can safely say i dont even consider or think about the hub skipping now as it just tends not to happen. I would reommend one.
  22. It was a really watchable video - i find a lot tiresome to watch with endless sidehops and stuffm but it was really enjoyabel. You could also see from the video that it was a really enjoyable, fun ride and bits like the crankflip to me are so much more appealing to watch then a guy getting his tape measure out - great vid!!
  23. Its not over the top, i don't want my bike stolen. If someone broke into my house (could happen fairly easily) atleast my bike isn't just there ready to be ridden off, as it is usually lnked to a couple of other bikes or a ladder or something else thats large, cumbersome and noisy to move, takes 2 minutes to put a lock on and it could save my bike.
  24. I lock my bikes to something or together - always in the house, either under the stairs, or in a spare bedroom that has a lock on the door.
