  1. I'm also waiting for a response and wondering why he said that
  2. We can hope. The knife psycho accusation girl decided to randomly resume contact with me today and is acting like nothing happened... Good times!
  3. Insert post about renting your ass out in 10... 9.... 8...
  4. We check the lists of stolen bikes on forums regularly, and if we suspected something was stolen we would have a google and contact the police to see if they've had anything matching reported stolen, they're very helpful in this respect. If it hasn't been reported stolen, and there isn't anything online that's as much as we can do, however if we still had some massive reason to think it was stolen (Guy in a black and white jumper holding it up in the pic, hits coming from scally-forum.co.uk? ) we reserve the right to cancel an offer in exceptional circumstances in the T+Cs.
  5. Yeah, i'm working on expanding the knowlege, which is one of the reasons why it's only advertised on here so far.
  6. You're talking crap, there's no onza t-bird in my system and i've never given an offer that low?
  7. Nice one Like you say, a problem that a lot of people on this forum will have experienced is trials bikes are worth a lot less than other bikes generally, meaning the system works much better for more expensive bikes. So far the acceptance ratio on more expensive bikes looks to be a lot lot higher.
  8. You have a point though, by having the site i'm volunteering my time to you so i'm fine with people wasting my time but unless you're actually wanting a quick sale, can't sell your bike or want to pay a premium for good, fast service then you probably won't get the site, and you probably won't like the offer. As much as i'd love to be able to, I can't pay full price for your bike! By the way, do a google search for webuyanycar.com reviews I could do what they do, but i'm doing things the honest way...
  9. Unfortunately there's thousands to be made per unit there But heh, there's still enough money to be made here to make it worthwhile though at the moment it's taking a lot of time with the initial rush of interest (In the time it took me to write the last post three bikes were offered ). It's on my to do list
  10. There's me, who all the offers go to initially so I deal with most of them. I also have a guy who's a technical phone advisor guy at one of the largest mail order road shops to do road bikes, and a guy who's raced in xc/ downhill/ etc quite a lot and owned a ridicuous number of bikes to deal with that side of thing. I'm welcome to suggestions on how to improve, i'm considering some kind of counter offer thing, however that'd mean I get pushed up all the time And monkeyseemonkeydo, there's lots of different things we do with them but there's a good profit per unit being achieved, and that couldn't be achieved by just selling the bike yourself, it's more than just giving a low offer and flogging them for more.
  11. I knew this was coming I'm afraid smaller brands like ciguena are much harder to sell on, i've really struggled over the last few days trying to work out prices for small/custom/unknown brands. I thought long and hard for how to give you a higher offer but I can't afford to pay top whack for unknown brands and keep it for ages on the off chance someone will want to pay a good price for it. I can tell you that there's around a 20% offer to acceptance ratio, which isn't bad considering a) the inevitable timewasters the amount of cracked bikes (Someone emailed back saying they want £400 for a cracked zoo mod, when ones with the same spec and no crack are selling on ebay for £170 if you're lucky...) and c) the people that think their bike is worth a lot more than it is (Protip; look how often full bikes manage to sell on the forum for anywhere near the asking price...). As far as I can tell the accepted ones seem to be pre members and non trials bikes. Haggling is ok, I can't get it right all the time, and judging by the offers given by my road/ xc people they don't get it right all the time too. And lol, Otacon is Danny Kearns?

You beat me to it Except I was gonna have OBM giving the lovin'...
  16. I had a mental dream last night, I was at a Cambridge University may ball (Downing I believe) stabbing my ex gf's new boyfriend to death with a stabproof knife behind a decorative fabric wall... Before making passionate love to her, possibly against her will (Bit like when I was still with her then...). Nice one
  17. I would have killed for one of those x-torts in mad colours, mate had one, sweet stuff. I nearly bought one but somehow ended up buying a Shooter full build instead. If anyone still has one, I want it!
  18. What uni/ course is it? Like you say it depends on the uni and how popular that course is. I think you'd be lucky to get on it with 80 points less if the course is sought after.
  19. Doesn't look as nice as the pre production one Maybe it's just the pic, I was really digging the green though, and the dropouts were loads nicer on the proto. The matt paint really gave the proto a quality look, the gloss finish doesn't seem to do it as much justice...
  20. Hah, after the amount of head I had to give to get the site made i'm doing everything myself from now on
  21. I reckon if they use these in ghetto schools kids will probably try them out to see if they're actually stab proof... I'm pretty sure you could still stab someone with it if you had them on the floor, you'd just need to stab, pull to make the incision larger then push.
  22. Depends what kind of book, i've found some very useful in the past. I could influence ex gfs so easily using very basic NLP. You could use your instincts and learn from mistakes, but it's so much better to have someone else telling you exactly what you need to know I must read these books mentioned above, any specific David D books or is it online? My inter-gender communication skills are still severely lacking as a result of an all boys education...

+140mm I ride +85mm and I thought that was extreme... I don't think 140mm would ride too well. Feel free to try though!
