you can set it to use a certain amount of PSU i have 50% on family comp, and 70% on mine so it doesnt get in the way at all, and doesnt get too hot.

didnt get to the juntion before my house, turned off before then. Im happy again, car all fixed and working! Turned out the car over heated because of no belt, so no water circulation as previously thought, but it didnt cut out due to overheating! it cut out due to lack of fuel, the fuel filter had a massive crack the pipe off one end, was almost hanging off. My bet is this happened when the belt went, the belt snapped and whipped the fuel line breaking the filter. engine then ran on remaining fuel for a few minutes, and stopped just as it got too hot! what a stroke of luck. definately no gasket damge, 185 psi on all 4 cylinders, no water in oil and no oil in water. oh and the seats are 1x corbeau carrera recliner (grey) 1x cobra imola 2, fixed, moulded plastic/fibre glass back, fia approved, black/red. neither ever mounted, only sat in halfords for 2 years!

bugger! why can i never have a whoel day of good luck, something has to piss on my fire every time! i get £300 quid worth of bucket seats from work for £25, me very happy. this evening my car decided to die not happy! alternator belt went, wasnt too far from home so thought i would keep going should make it, forgetting the water pump is on the same belt! result, 5 minutes later totally overheated and cut out. probably taken the head gasket with it. luckily was with people, so had abotu 10 of us pushing it up this massive hill (snaky hill to the locals) and then i coasted down into my home village, across 2 roundabouts and breaking a 30mph speed limit with no engine! i know owe a lot of people a drink!

Complete Noob Interested In Trials Biking!
nmt_oli replied to Spank's topic in Beginners Trials Chat
yeah, that DDG shooter would be good. its an old bike, so not very in demand, but certainly good enough to get started on, can be easily upgraded, and parts could be moved to another frame if needed. -
The globe is worth a visit if your remotely interested in theatre, totally different experience. museum row is a must- natural history/science/V&A madam tusaurds tower of london + everything above. Theres too much to do in a day, choose what you want, and plan a route. youl have a good time whatever you do.

DO NOT go for low profile tyres though. you dont need to worry about handling really, sa your not going to be thrashing it the whole time. you want reliability and availabiity. std wheels wheel be a lot more available to replace. plus the higher profile tyres will give more comfort than lower profile ones as they will have more give.

Depends which bit your lookign at wheather its series or parralel, but nominally paralel. And the earth does go back to the battery negative, the bodywork of the car is connected to it. most relays have 4 terminals, 2 inputs, 2 outputs. one set is for the low current 'signal', the other set for the high current 'application'. the signal current triggers a switch inside the relay, switching on the application current. Is very useful, as you dont have a high current going through a switch directly, and means a shorter route for high current wires. They dont get a lot of our cars over there, so it is novelty/better than what on offer.

If anyone comes accross an anodised gold GT LTS on ebay or whereveer, please let me know as mine was stolen a while back, and still havent seen/heard anything. main frame is gold anodised, rear swingarms ectis polished silver. mono mini disk brake, marzocchi forks, half radial rear wheel (specs may have changed). they are lovely bikes.

My new clocks arrived, along with tinted rear lights. car looks much better with tinted lights all round. The new clocks plugged straight in, and all work except the oil pressure light. Old clocks were origonal, 1987 driver 1.6 with 120mph + clock New clocks i dont knwo what there from, but have 160mph speedo+ MFA + tacho. i think the speedo reads slightly fast too ( could this be if it was off a 15" wheeled car?). Is there anyway of hooking up another oil pressure light anywhere? hopefully il never need it, and i know once it comes on the engine is pretty fooked anyway, but its nice to know its there.

take a cheap bike for the first few weeks, until term has settled in and you know the routine. Trust me, most bike crime is in the first week of term. pikeys know there are going to be a lot of nice bikes around. trust me, i know- i had 2 nicked in the first week as someone came round with bolt cuters and a pickup! (20+ bikes nicked in one night). I then kept my replacement bike in my room for the rest of term, and it was fine. am planning to follow this at pompey, cheap bike to keep in bike lockup and bring trials bike later once i know where i can safely keep it!

Jsut done the best mod EVER to my golf. finally got round to making a headlight loom! 2 looms really, one for dipped and one for full beam. also uprated the bulbs at the same time and WOW! i can now actually see with the lights on! got a replacement spot too, so no more big hole in the grille! Will have to do this for my mini as well! Still havent got the shocks on, will prob go on on sat.

yes a chain will be under stress if its too tight, but it wil be under more stress if it is slack as the 'kick' motion will put lots of sharp heavy pulls on the chain, more than if it was tight as there would be less movement before engagement. I like mine as tight as possible so theres no flapping and no delay in engagement, as long as it doesnt stop the cranks from spinning.

havent fully read through the thread, just scanned. if your just trying to boot of origonal drive, and use the 6gb one as backup, makesure the jumpers are set to 'slave' on the 6 gb hd. this will make your life much easier!

Got 40mm lowered springs and shocks for £90 today, well chuffed. will be fitting on monday. When paycheck comes through will hopefully have enough for new wheels. starting to get a very nice daily driver. Oh, and james car is spotless in the flesh!

You dont bore the engine with a dremel, you port and polish! if you get it right, its amazing (best gains to be had on cheap engines, expensive engines usually have most of the mods done already), if you do it wrong, it will shake itself to bits or not run at all. if you have electric, uprate the motor (go brushless if poss) and get some good batts. On any model, make sure it has bearings- cheap ones often have bushings. suspension is a very good upgrade to do, changes the handling a lot.
