they are all a con most of them won't insure bikes over £1500, i bought an intense downhill bike custom build up for £4000 and no-one would insure because it was to expensive , i mean in the car world does that make aston martins to expensive. and even if you keep them in your house they have to be bolted to the wall etc. on things like the second floor or they won't insure them, and then you have to give some sort of proof that is where they are kept, its best to claim on house insurance if they are taken from your property if you can produce reciepts, believe that way saves time and energy and your more likely to get your money back. so all the bikes i have owned and have got are under the house insurance. for example e&l said they covered for race accident damage to bikes and my mate crashed his bike and went to claim they said that they didn't cover for races anymore even though thats what he specifically signed up with them for data tag is defo the way forward
