  1. Anyone in here fancy a 'rocco?

I found the number but the middle section has been battered away so isn't legible. They're 35mm stanchions though so I'll go for 2011.

Is there a way of identifying the year for these forks? And where I can find replacement lowers? Cheers for le assistance.
  4. I will hopefully be joining you back at cannock again soon. And hopefully this time I'll make it the whole way around!
  5. I'm running some of the superstar yardstick bars. Think they measured at 960mm when new. Epic stability but useless if it gets a bit tight and techy.
  6. Hopefully someone in here can sway me. I've been offered a swap, my Patriot for an FSRXC Expert. I'm thinking of doing more XC riding anyways.. So I'm thinking yes? But the sentimental attachment!
  7. I'll drag the scrapper off the pile for this.
  8. MY old 16v bike carb'd engine had cereal box gaskets everywhere. Seemed to hold up to a thrashing well enough.
  9. Having been in a few twitchy moments on the M1 when the car in front panics. ABS is wonderful when it works in a situation like that. However, it can be a right pain when you're having fun and it gets involved for no reason!
  10. Anywhere from 40 to 65 depending on the workload. Line manager in a paint workshop.
  11. Why is the reg different in the first photo? Or is the first photo an example? Looks to have had a harsh 5 years either way.
  12. Damn you. I had other things planned for this afternoon! After reading that I sought out that series and I've been watching. If nothing else, its quite interesting and entertaining.
  13. Ed well spanked me on that one. I'm going through pinkbike right now finding bits get the bike over to a more XC friendly spec. Next time! I'll drop a few kgs and set it up a little better then I should be able to hammer around a little faster. Good ride for me though..albeit slow and painful.
  14. That's temtping! I've not ridden since christmas near enough...
  15. After a quick wash with a gritty sponge. Added the switches for the new lamps. Desperately need to get my spacers on. Just awaiting the delivery of a bolt kit. 22mm at the rear and 19mm at the front. Should look reasonable after that.
  16. Had a fun one at work today. Clocked in at 5am. Half way down the factory I had around 80 parts hanging from the day before, all motionless except for one rack of around 14 parts which where swinging like mad. Nothing else was moving except for these few parts and they where all hanging together. It was a bit eerie and not the first time something like this has happened. Must add, no obvious signs of a draught, no one else had been in. They carried on swinging for around an hour and 45minutes... Slowig down then speeding up again. I did take a little video which I will try to add.
  17. I've decided not to go. I found a few photos which seems to satisfy the grieving for now. I guess time will tell whether I've made the appropriate decision or not. The reminiscing and joking about at work is helping loads.
  18. He had a massive heart attack in his sleep. Friday afternoon as lively as ever. Saturday morning, gone.
  19. I'm just curious. Its been recent topic of discussion as a we lost a good friend on the 25th. Would you visit a friends body in the funeral home/morgue? The cremation isn't until the 14th of February but we have been allowed to make a visit to see him if we want to before hand. My last interaction/memories are fairly average considering we had no idea what was coming. Cheerio on a Friday afternoon after work and away we went. Next morning he'd passed. So...Would you make the visit? Or not? Maybe a little about why? I'm undecided at this stage. Leaning towards not, as I don't really want the last time I see this guy to be cold and flat on his back. But maybe i'll regret it if I don't have a final goodbye? Tough one.
  20. A good friend died yesterday
