  1. ive just been in my shed and ive got one mechanically its fine but the exterior has some scratches get josh to talk to me on face book or add me yourself my name is on my profile .
  2. hi there arnt any particularly good places in nots to buy magura spares from it would be easier just to buy one online because and then buy a bleed kit . if this is josh weedons brother then i might have a spare body but i dont know yet , by the way im only guessing that by your name .
  3. should should be fine if you allow the aluminium to cool slowly , use tig welding but be careful if too much heat is put through the aluminium it will go white and very brittle .cleaning the frame before and after is very important use a wire brush and aceatone to clean the welds and good luck
  4. i live in heanor and i will come ride derby some weekends just drop me a pm or il keep watching rides and locations
  5. there a lot better in the cnc backing than compared to the plastic backings , but although there coustpads there not as good as the original pads in the 40mm backings they were the daddy .
  6. use acetone to remove any residue left by the weld and then finish it with either a steel brush or a fibre wheel its what we do at work when welding aluminium .
  7. brake rotors can be made of carbon ceramic compounds but pure carbon fibre wont be very good as it will heat up to quickly and the gel coat will melt , theres not much weight to a disk rotor and there already full of holes so theres not realy any need to bother
  8. could easily be done with a replacement steer tube it can either be bonded in or tig welded in .
  9. original coust pads were 35mm long with white plastic backings i still have a pair .
  10. hi everyone , i was wondering has anyone else had a problem with koxx croco pads since they have been re released by koxx . i used to own a pair of the original koxx blocks and i was always happy with the performance but ive bought some croco red pads and there awful , no bit no hold and no sound at all and the wear rate is bad as every-time i look down there is red dust all over the rim . needless to say i am switching to plaz pads but has anyone else had the same problem ?
  11. i dont think there is anything you can do about it as its just the forks natural resonating , the only thing you could try is using a booster but it could effect your braking .
  12. check out the echo website its a prototype it may even be on the news page .
  13. just machine or file out the mounts so there abit deeper apart from that just change your chain and tensioner instead of having it slammed
  14. technically unless you registered the brake when u bought it magura offer no warranty , they used to have a guarantee that if it leaked in 5 years they would replace it for free but you had to register the break when you bought it and also use the receipt and shop name ect i dont know if this is still the case but in all honesty a magura marta doesn't need to be bled with water because its a floating pad design it doesnt need to retract fast and also disk brakes generate alot of heat which will boil the water ... well thats my 2 cents in
  15. i found a mint condition one on ebay and i emailed the seller and i payed 60 quid for it and i was quite happy with it .
  16. without serious machining i cant see this possibly working , if i was you i would just buy the complete lever or track down a rb lever blade . good luck but well done for trying .
  17. If your buying hubs these days then your going to want to run 32 hole as 36 is becoming obsolete in the trials world , because more companies have gone down the route of losing weight from the components they are producing more 32 hole rims than 36 to save weight . As for rims i would go with some trialtech or tryall if your going to be riding trials street but if you prefer riding park maybe try dmr rims or sun rims like the bmf . good luck
  18. if u want a good quality grinder either bosch or metarbo make amazing grinders , i dont think there are aluminum specific disks so just use a stainless steel cutting .
  19. when i receive the brake i will take a pic and post them up but i think there the same colour as standard pads , well maybe i will give them ago for a laugh but i think they wont stand a chance against plaz or coust pads .
  20. hi guys , ive bought a new brake this week off ebay and it just happens to include monty milk pads ! now when i first started riding monty milk pads were supposed to be good until plaz pads arrived on the scene so my question is were they any good or should i just frame them ?
  21. remove the collars on the the axel and a normal bb tool should fit .
  22. i think your best option is to tap the bleed hole out very carefully and use a larger grub screw because they are available , good luck .
  23. ive done it , infact the wheel is still being ridden by one of the uk's best street riders danny foster . its a 32 hole 05 echo rim laced to a profile , there is a specific size spoke that i needed but apart form that it was pritty easy and the wheel has took alot of abuse .
  24. get a smaller rim and a 2.3 tyre ? other wise your only option would be to grind away the inside of your frame .
