  1. Awesome! It's been ages since I've been riding so I'm gonna come along to this. Will be excellent to see you again. Think you should have my number but I've pm'd it to you anyway.

    Mac Problems

I'm having flash player problems in both Firefox and Safari. I've tried the plug-in installation method which fails (but doesn't ever say why) and the manual method and I'm still getting the missing plug-in symbols all over the place. I've also tried re-installing Firefox and Safari with the latest versions and that's made no difference what so ever. Any idea please?
  3. I may be able to make this but at the minute it looks unlikely. I've buggered my knee at work and had a heavy stack onto my shoulder two weekends ago so I'm currently making friends with a very good physio who is fixing me . My knee's pretty much sorted so if I can pull on the on the bars without it feeling like my arm's gonna come off I might just come along.
  4. Yeah, I realised which one you wanted after I posted, I was sure it followed straight on from the subway scene but remembered wrong. The only videos I can find of it are with sound overs. Looks like you're gonna need someone to upload it specially for you.
  5. Not sure which one you wanted, or You probably mean the subway scene as that's when he becomes "the one". Anyway they're all on Youtube if you look properly
  6. I wouldn't normally reply in a thread like this because an open forum is not in my opinion the best place to be discussing life issues but the replies from Anzo, Ben and Anal Teflon are I feel very strong, immature and inconsiderate. I'm probably going to get flamed for this but it's an issue that I can closely relate to and suggestions to commit suicide, however light hearted they may be, and calling the person a "mardy f**cker" are neither helpful or appropriate. At the moment I’m going through a pretty tough time, a combination of work and personal issues has pushed me to the point where life just seems too much effort and I would say that I can relate to all of the points in the first post. Yes it is just life and it probably isn't all that bad but there are a lot of people out there who for whatever reason can't cope with life's challenges, however big or small, as well as others. I've tried really hard to convince myself everything will be gravy in the long run but my head won't let it happen. For someone who suffers from life crisis' or depression at any age it can be incredibly hard to make others understand, especially since, in my case anyway, they probably don't understand it themselves. The best thing I’ve found to help me through is to talk about it, finding the right person or people is hard but you'll be surprised how many people will listen and give comforting and reassuring words without judging you, thinking you're nuts or simply saying "well that's life, you better get used to it". Try your hardest, however much you can't be bothered, to do the things that you know make you happy. Generally just doing something that won't stress me out other than watching TV seems to be good for me so try and be active (not necessarily sporty just do something). I've found the satisfaction gained from cleaning my car or my bedroom, however stupid it may sound, helps on a small level. Keep yourself in the company of others, it doesn't really matter who they are, being social really does help, especially if they can make you laugh - it really is miracle cure, even if only short term. If you’re not financially stretched try a holiday, some sunshine and a change of scenery will probably do you wonders. Overall just try your damned hardest to be positive, that's much easier said than done believe me, but things will get better even if it takes a few months. Sorry for the essay but I hope it helps you, even a little bit. Daniel
  7. Just another day in the office
  8. Haha, that's me. No relation at all but I've been told I look like him before!!!
  9. Cheers, and yes it seems I do now. I've had loads since I got back on my bike this year, maybe it's by bikes new years resolution to get as many punctures as possible!!! Oh well, it was an awesome ride, I haven't pushed myself that hard and had so much fun in a long time. Oh and good job with the pics Karl
  10. More votes here for Zero7, Portishead, Sneaker Pimps and Imogen Heap. I'd also highly recommend Hooverphonic, Stephanie McKay and Mattafix.
  11. I ride a 609 and will be there if the weather's good.
  12. Weather permitting i'll be there, maybe with a mate too.
  13. My first Ultimate had both sides broken and from what other people have said it seems to be a common problem and spares are nigh on impossible to get hold of. However, it is possible to replace them with bog standard Shimano ones (or probably any other 'v' brake but i've not tried other makes), you just need to not bother putting the thin silver spacer with the the hole with four little cut-outs in it back otherwise it'll seize up when you tighten the mounting bolts. If you haven't got/can't get any Shimano ones I may be able to sort you out with some. Just ask if you need 'em and i'll have a look.
  14. You say that but i've been in Norwich all day today and it hasn't stopped, I would love to wake up to sunshine tomorrow but I can't see it happening.
  15. If you come I will, I've missed you :$ ( and the Norwich rides are no fun with the other boring buggers )
  16. Excellent choice of bike, you will not be disappointed - I've had mine for a year or so now and love every minute I spend on it. As for tyres, mostly it'll depend on what you're using it for, I ride solely street and park on mine so run DMR Moto tyres at silly high pressures, a Moto Digger on the back gives a little more grip for natural but they're not that special - I get 'em free though so I can't complain. Other top choices are the Tioga Comp and anything Maxxis. For other suggestions/recommendations take a look in here, that should have answers to most of your 24" related questions. Hope that helps and enjoy the ride.
  17. I'm coming up to Coventry last weekend of the month to meet a mate who's at uni there. Obvioulsy we'll be out riding so anyone wishing to join in is more than welcome to come along. I won't be arriving 'till late Saturday afternoon but may fit in a couple of hours riding, Sunday however we should be good for an all dayer. Some of the locals may well know John (rides a Zebdi), I know he knows Bigman and Todge. If you want to organise some times and places feel free, I don't know Coventry at all so it'd help make my visit an interesting one. Daniel
  18. You'll be very lucky if you can get some 24" Mavic rims, the only place I recall still selling them is in Australia and it would cost a fortune to ship. Personally I'd go with Rhyno Lites, it's what I've been using for the last year and a half and have yet to properly bend one even with my slightly erratic approach to riding. I've always liked the Tioga Multi Control saddle but they've never suited my bike so I use a Shadow Conspiracy Slim, pretty comfy and grippable for bar spins if that's your thing. Tyres are a personal choice and depend on your riding style, i'm a fan of DMR Moto and Moto Digger tyres but that's probably because I've been getting them free . Tioga and Maxxis make some similar models and the more trialsy Maxxis tyres also come in 24" if I remember rightly. For a large list of most 24" parts open to you check the > All Things 24"!, Rims and tyres list.. thread. Hope that helps and enjoy your new ride. Daniel
  19. Given I had a pretty good attempt at chopping the tip off my finger today I'd say ride Toad Rocks. I will no longer be riding this weekend, or for a while I doubt .
  20. You may be able to get a train to Kings Lynn but it's a bloody long ride from there to Hunstanton on any bike, let alone on a stupid little mod!! As for the lift that's even less likely since Norwich is in the complete opposite direction from where I live. Also, who said anything about riding the natural - hardly my thing is it, there's a few good street spots in Hunstanton and every ride i've had there has been such a laugh even if the location isn't the best. If no-one seems interested in or able to make this then I may come to Sheringham at the weekend instead anyway, must be something about the coastal locations but they always seem so much more fun!
  21. Just thought i'd bring this back to the fore. There must be more than just two of you willing and (possibly) able to come to Hustanton this weekend!?!
  22. I'll be there and am gonna bring a mate too though we won't be arriving 'till about midday. I take it you'll do the usual route down to the riverside first so i'll try and find you, if not i'll give you a bell Dave when we need directions!!!
  23. Oh my god, that was awesome. So many awesome lines and mini trick combo's, super flowy and smooth too . On a slightly different note, that's the same place as in Rowan's latest video yeah? I need to ride that place, it looks so much more fun than anywhere near me.

    Mac Problems

Got a question more than a problem but anyway... How come sometimes when I turn on my MacBook the green light to the right of the built in camera comes on straight away and the only image I can get in Photobooth is a plain green one? Must admit i've not really tried anything to correct this since I never use it but i'm curious in case one day I need to. Cheers, Daniel
