  1. Hi, I need a new spoke for my wheel - popped one out while riding. I've never been sure how to measure this when ordering (obviously not just one spoke haha) I have a hope pro2 rear hub built on to a trialtech rim = 24" wheel, does anyone know what spoke length I shall need to order? how to measure this? or... if there is a way of calculating etc? forgive me... never had to replace one thanks Barry
  2. Hi Yeah I have found they don't take much time to bed in either? I thought it was just me as I have recently converted from standard(ish) magura pads and tar (and on maybe a dead grind) to the newer type of pads available suchas the TNN's / heatsinks - so naturally I'm stunned at the difference haha. Like others had said, I'd also support in ensuring the pads are bang on square with the rim (in all directions) also, might be worth looking that each pad either side is hitting the rim at roughly if not almost exactly the same time, and for me after a couple of whiz's round a car park and some skids, should be fine? Hope your happy with them soon Cheers Barry
  3. made sweet work of that gusset - nice job! super tidy!
  4. Hey I tend to run a road rear mech when I do, a sora or 105 (short cage rear mech) the short cage tend to be nicer - out of the way from knocks etc. Ive run a hacksawed gripshift in the past, or a thumb shifter out the way was quite popular... Hope this helps
  5. Haha, so it does! well spotted and thanks for raising it (I'll pass on the message) to add to that, I was on youtube the otherday and searched Toni Bou / indoor moto trial, to watch the skip section and say: "that looks totally different" - completely lost, to be pointed out politely by another that I was watching a 2011 indoor trial video.... glad its not just me! cheers for the response!
  6. Hi Wasn't sure where to put this. figured this may be the closest / best bet My good man Errol took some pics of the indoor trial in Sheffield the weekend just gone, some nice B&W ones, and a nicely captured one of Ashton in there too! follow the flickr link if you'd like to see the lot, attached some to put some in the thread: http://www.flickr.com/photos/errol_starr/sets/72157628810762343/ A brief, short and sweet, little write-up on the tumblr link below also for a bit of fun... Cheers Barry
  7. Nice vieo, enjoyed that Last few clips are hammers!! awesome! cheers
  8. Hi Mate, I've seen a video (linked from a topic asking a similar question - also believe the creator has the link as his signature)... ...The video is pretty good step by step on, basically, getting opposing brands to fit in each other, can't remember particularly which ones, I came accross it when I was searching on how to install TNN's recently, remind me on and I'll try find it tonight or something, I didn't need to use it - but still thought it was really good! shows you where and what to trim etc. ...this post has porbably been of no help what so ever haha! I'm hoping someone can link to vid? cheers
  9. Hey Pure frame still going strong! A few of us ended up going a few times last week! met up with the Hull lot a couple of time, great set of lads like! dead friendly, felt a little harsh riding in the warehouse when they weren't around, but when we got there first thing, it was drenched, so thought we'd bump in to a couple of them in there instead, but I think a fair few were busy / working on that 3rd day we went. There's a couple of clips of the other lot too, but think theyve been saved Was a good week though, enjoyed it! will have to get together again soon! Cheers for putting vid up Tom.
  10. Hi From Doncaster here, theres a few of us too, drop us a line and come ride doncaster / we'll come ride sheffield also @Scotty - should also ride Doncaster or something sometime? Cheers Barry
  11. Hi Also finished work until 3rd now so would also like to get out at least once to somewhere natural (if this weather permits!!) Will check back, after xmas for me is good?
  12. Hi Just tried some of these myself - ground my rim again admittedly (but as its wet weather etc) only rode a handfull of times on them so far wearlife = looking promising, really good Performance = Good bite, holds well too, sharp, have that bit of modulation there too! good pad I'm impressed! not too noisy either! Cheers Barry
  13. Enjoyed the video, big moves looked really relaxed - walk in the park! ...tshirt and shorts?! I've been out in a fleece, coat and gloves haha! cheers
  14. Hey, as mentioned: - Stoke Plaza - real good fun, reccomend a visit / worth the journey! the coping is aluminium though so doesn't slide that great (if you like grinds) - Theres apparently another plaza type place in Middlesborough (or that way on) - not been myself. - Micklefield (near leeds) pretty cool, nice little street bit, with ramps too - bit of a rough area regards damage to cars so park well on the street if you go here > http://media.photobucket.com/image/micklefield%20skatepark%20leeds/bamboosam81/pan1crop.jpg - I hear Nottingham skatepark has had a refresh too! Sorry they are quite a drive for you, hope I've added more than what was already mentioned! Enjoy! Barry
  15. Enjoyed the video, also enjoyed a scroll through the blog! The "in support of nuclear power" my word that place looks something else!! Cheers Barry

  17. Hi there, Forgive me if this is obvious... When you say pedal dabs NOT allowed does that mean 100% not allowed, or that you obtain 1 point for each pedal dab? or.. 5 points and section finished? appreciate you clarifying this Thanks
  18. nice 0.44secs was awesome mate! liked that
  19. haha made me giggle, good response. Hats off to anyone, anywhere who has rode in both UCI and BIU. Particularly at that level... Its not the winning that counts its the....
  20. Hi Im not completely certain on your question if I'm honest... However, I had an inspired fourplay and ran a because BB 73mm / 68mm Shell (with spacer) and an axle length of 128mm Just go for 128mm, bound to clear the frame then if thats what the issue is cheers
  21. Hi there, What I have done in the past (may appeal, may not) from ASDA they have some industrial bin bags (blue in colour) they are either £2.48 / £5 (sorry for the difference in cost, can't remember exactly now) get a pack of 10 or whatever anyway. I then bubble wrapped round brake bossess, top of the steerer tube and drop outs (protects the product) and I find each post office is individual in their rules, in that a comment was once made that a drop out of a frame could harm the post carrier....... so I OTT on bubble wrap now to keep him / her safe at work. Anyway... once bubble wrapped, drop the forks in the blue bag (should fit just nicely) I wrap any remainder of the bin bag round the steerer (tight) and tape the hell out if sealed shut. Obviously never looks the prettiest of parcels, but does the job easily for me (which I require haha) postage, I'd say signed for first class your looking £2.50 - £3.50?? not bad.. Just off topic. BMX bars are a fun one to post and receive, on both occasions Ive been asked if I had ordered a boomerang haha!! Hope this is of some help Good luck Thanks Barry
  22. Hey if your a fan of Monty, Have a look (google) Malcolm Rathmell sport. The have Monty 219 magura for £550 (basically the 220 in a way) quite a decent build of bike for the price I think. They are on eBay too. give them a call tend to be pretty helpful! Thanks Barry
  23. Looks nice, done a good job of getting the colour off! Had to reply, as I feel your pain on the new stuff... what a load of rubbish, I got a tin none the wiser to the "new and improved forumla" and felt there was something up when the small sting from opening the tin wasn't there! And Nitromors is like pringles, once you start you can't stop... what a killer haha! if you've still got the "new stuff" take it back to the shop... I used about a lid full and took it back to B&Q with no probs, and luckily found a tin of the old stuff in my mums garage! keep up the good work Cheers
  24. agreed, think they look sweet in that sense!
