  1. second on heatsink cousts, my grind is running pretty dead on the rear, I went out in the (heavy) rain the other day and was amazed by how well they were working!
  2. Hey all, I filmed a little bit on my iphone4 this weekend at the Geneva trial. I've literally thrown it together with no editing, and added a reptitive sound track, do apologise for the quality in advance, from phone to imovie to youtube it has deteriorated somewhat! I would make an effort at correcting, but on a ever tiring mac I've given up waiting and seeing the rainbow wheel haha. Thought I'd post it up anyway as it isn't all that bad. Enjoy... Thanks Barry p.s. Think I may have repeated 1/2 clips, and the frenchie by Vincent at 11.10 was out of competition, just before super final - huge!
  3. Think you had your front end too low?! Everyone thinks front high front high
  4. I also haven't ever left feedback and sometimes have found it helpful, so I shall make the effort to do the same! Additionally, it'd be nice to be able to comment on the general service of Tarty - I know it's been mentioned on here before, but for none useres of the forum that were to use Tarty, may be a good persuader. Have seen on other websites and it may appear a little cheesey / could even be made up, but none the less, and credit where credit is due! I've once made an order at 3pm and its been at my door (standard delivery) next day at 7.30am, incredible - don't think you get that with Next do you? haha. Additionally, always helpful on the phones and welcoming, unlike the 2 LBS around me that are unable to understand a crank arm and that the freewheel is on a thread, not fixed on! Gone on a bit sorry.. Cheers
  5. That's brilliant! Think I would have been equally shocked / star struck!
  6. Fist of Fury ..haha so wrong! I had to pick something to be able to comment and say I had a right giggle reading some of these!
  7. Amazing! I thought to myself: "I don't think I remember this" as I let it start, and then the crankflips at the start and the tree barspin... yep remember it Thanks for putting it up!
  8. heatsink cousts Have tried both, would choose heatsinks hands down The grind has worn down on my rim loads to dead really and they still hold incredibly. TNN greens are great but seem to be high maintenance in my opinion, also my cousts seem to be very quiet which i much prefer.
  9. Quibbel! When did you get an inspired? ;-) get over and ride soon mate ey! bike looks sweeeet!
  10. Nice vide, enjoyed it, keep it up
  11. Fantastic! was really good! it definitely wasn't a 5 for jack and "over the marker" but still rode really well well done! is it not showing 20"?? cheers
  12. Hi, I'm sure others may make more recommendations But get any old sort of XC bike if thats an easily available option and have a go on that first. This is probably how most started on here? This used to be a good starting point - lower the seat, fat tires, get the brakes running sharp and would be a good basis. That aside, I'd suggest Onza would be a good option for something new as they are affordable and do the job, especially if your wishing to explore your interest in trials riding without spending alot of money. Secondly I'd suggest ebay - look at pick up only options, may find something good... use tartybikes.co.uk for an idea of pricings for your budget if you're looking in to second hand, or even log on to their site (shop) to find a bike for you. You won't be disappointed! hope this helps cheers Barry
  13. That was great that mate cheers! Awesome vid! Thought the start worked really well and riding was great too, Barry
  14. Hi Apparently if you're registered with tyke trial or someone like that here in uk it should be ok? I'd try get a docs note failing that though... Have a good time Cheers
  15. Their plan certainly did work.. they must have had a sit round to work out a place that would take the most travel time to get to from the UK haha! I think the best idea is what you're doing Robin, including it in a holiday. Is Adam riding? Possibly a bit far for a weekend dash, would need a week off afterwards, might wait for the video I think... On the other hand, Cock's day isn't a bad idea mind, might be worth it as a protest to get it back to Buthiers!
  16. Cheers Dave, your right there, definitely the cheaper way and probably more convenient in the long run! its a hell of a trek though - the first service stop is one of many haha! would be much easier if still at Buthiers! the round 2 sounds promising too! Cheers
  17. Hi Hope this is the correct area to be posting in, was a tie between here and clubs & comps... Is anyone going to the April rounds? ... either entering or watching? It'd be great to go. as its bank hol weekend, bit of a holiday and get to watch / do some riding. However the cost of travel looks ridiculous? driving, ferry, driving. Train. Fly and drive. Any tips anyone? Cheers Barry
  18. There certainly was a lot of rain! but was still great fun also, sections were great, and thank so much to all the observers! and the organisers. glad everyone else had a good day also. Cheers Barry
  19. Haha that was funny!! brilliant! no sidehop until payday?!
  20. Hey matey Me and a mate went the other weekend, it really is a good as the pictures! well worth a visit (with a packed lunch) plent to see and ride! Sections look really good, if you can park behind kingfisher community centre (chances are you'll see other riders parked up / getting ready to ride so you'll know you are there) then its straight up the main single track / lane up in to the quarry to the very top, is quite a climb so make sure you've had a cup of tea before you set off! but once your on top its all there within close range however, as the chap said above do try and pick a day with no wind, when we went it was windy as hell, still had fun, but ended up riding the knocked down house type thing for a bit of shelter haha! head for post code OL13 0BB Bacup have a good time!
  21. hey I still have one, got it second hand myself, its a pure 05 / 06 one(?) (without a seat) I find it rides nice!
  22. hey there was one on tribalzine the other day of him on a 24 test at a skatepark? not as old school as you are possibly looking for mind
  23. such a good video! Why do we treat animals like animals! loved that first section! Contact and revolution are online too, found contact just recently, will get a link up when home tonight if hasnt already been posted here or elsewhere! good times!
  24. Try halfords they have a couple of sizes in stock I found... ..also maybe try a local shop that stocks BMX parts - particularly forks, for example sunday! / oddyssey (most now..?) use threaded steerers, they may sell top caps for these individually and may fit, or local bike shop / halfords again for a head doctor, to clamp it all together until Tarty re-opens...
