  1. A young guy over here died yesterday from exactly the same thing. Needless to say he was novice but none the less..
  2. That's pretty much the stupidest comment you can possibly post. It's sad how young riders completely miss the point of riding bikes. The bike doesn't define the way you ride and if more people understood that, perhaps we wouldn't constantly be getting vids full of sidehops from the mod crowd.
  3. I'm going to answer this the way I would if this was 8 years ago. Age: 14 Bike: Monty X-Lite 221 with square bottom tube What is the best trials specific product you have ever used?: Nothing, everything keeps braking down, RB 4-bolt booster is kinda good What is the worst trials specific product you have ever used?: Magura brakes, monty frame bars stem rim and cranks, FAG bb and shimano freewheel How long have you been riding?: around 5 months How often do you ride?: a few times a week How often do you ride with other riders?: don't know of any in my area Highest sidehop: possibly 20cm Longest gap, flat to flat: ~70cm Biggest tap: what the hell is that? Biggest drop: ~50cm Biggest up: ~50cm Can you tailwhip?: isn't that a bmx move? Can you switzerland squeaker?: never heard of it
  4. So first we decide on the categories? If so, I vote for: Best Chilled Out Atmosphere Best TGS Best Natty Best Motivational Best Video With No Music edit: no point in doing best 20 or 26, if a video is good it doesn't matter what the wheel size.
  5. I have one which is well over 5 years old, had it for 3 and it's skipped twice. It's the best thing in the world since you don't have to worry about the drivetrain at all. But... I wouldn't buy one now. My mates have had endless problems with them, one broke his axle TWICE despite being a completely novice rider, the other broke his axle a few weeks ago, another one of my mates completely f**ked the internals and the hub kept skipping on him to the point that he couldn't even ride along. To be honest, they're shit hubs but some of them work well. Definitely not worth the risk. If you want one, get an old one from the US off an XC/road rider. I think that soon we're going to reach the stage where a good but used King hub will cost as much as a brand new one.
  6. Now matter how good the riding and how interesting the obstacles are, it's still TGS
  7. Saw this on tv.isg.si today, thought it was one of the best TGS vids I've ever seen. http://tv.isg.si/site/filebrowser/aaron_ch...&order=Name pablo_and_cesar_[by_aaron]
  8. Yes, there will be a few 24" frames around, Adamant, Echo and I think Czar. They will be sold with this new bb pre-fitted. So if you want a frame like that, you have to go ISIS which I think is a good thing. Square taper should die a slow and painful death.
  9. Don't recall having such problems, the grips with logos have been around for months and they're identical to the old ones. I've checked a pair and they don't have anything waxy on the inside.
  10. It's hydraulic, not hydrolic. Also, where's 7-8kg, 9-10kg 11-12kg?
  11. Is that something you have to add to your posts so there's a small chance that the frame will go under warranty? If you have to pay half price for getting it replaced, that's a right rip off.
  12. Really smooth and controlled, good to see you back.
  13. After braking the hose on my magura a few days ago, I found that a front brake is one of those things you don't really need. Rode this bike on rocks for a few hours without it and didn't have this much fun in months. Therefore forks changed to SL. Bike weighs 8,16kg now.
  14. Remember that last Shirocco ad JC did with clips of Poland at war or something like that? I can't believe it, but some people over here feel offended by it. f**king morons. Perhaps it's just the media grabbing hold of anything they can find since the parliament is on holiday but honestly, what the f**k was there in that ad that would make anybody think "my god, this is something I should complain about".
  15. Well yes, that was the intention. It was supposed to ride a bit like a stock, just like the Hi-Fi was supposed to ride a bit like a mod.

Beat me to it Exactly what I thought when I read the 1st post.
  17. Yeah, the green is a limited 2 frames per dealer colour scheme. Quality isn't as good as I'd expect from a frame this expensive - thought it'd be on par with the new Echo frames but it isn't. Anyway, the design makes everything else irrelevant. Rides well too, geometry is almost identical to the Triton but with a slightly lower rise. Absolutely perfect. Wheelbase is 1090 @ 377mm CS (17:16). Can't wait to give it a good ride on some rocks.

It's been posted here before. If a vid has that many views, chances are that we've seen it. Good stuff none the less.
  19. This is just a temporary setup. Planning on black forks (had to part with the Trialtechs since my mate was adamant that I sold them to him) and a black headset. Maybe white rims in some time? Better pics to come, rubbish lighting over here now.
