  1. Yeah, exactly. There's still a big racial problem around. People are overly sensitive and pay too much attention to race, this must change. A black president could help a lot. I wouldn't be surprised if Obama won and ended up like Kennedy though.
  2. Impressive in terms of size, not too good in other aspects. The music was especially bad. It's like watching a very old Neil/CLS/Damon video, why would you ever want to do that.
  3. Stocks are generally easier to ride, I'm not sure if they're easier to learn the basics on. To put it simple (in my opinion of course) most people can ride stock bikes well, but only a small bunch of riders can ride a mod properly. By properly I don't mean just doing a big sidehop but generally making use of the small wheels - something like this for example. I find mods a nightmare to ride, they're great fun but if you want to go big, it's not necessarily the better choice. Stay with a stock, 6 months isn't long enough to make such a choice.
  4. These frames make 18T rockrings look sooo big Bike looks really neat
  5. Awesome, really fun to watch. I like how the moves gradually build up from easy to quite impressive ones.
  6. That's what's puzzling me, they won an Emmy for the best non-scripted show on TV right?
  7. I haven't watched this yet and probably won't for some time. The thing I find with Top Gear is that it doesn't live up to expectations any more. When you watch a new episode (or download one as i have to do) you want to be thrilled and entertained, but you're not. It's not necessarily the case when you've got a couple of episodes piled up and can watch them one after the other. So my remedy for this is to download 4 episodes at once some time next month. They're bound to be more fun to watch when you're not so pissed off that what you're watching is crap, and you'll have to wait another week for the next episode which might be better. More events like the Britcar 24, that wasn't staged. And that's the main reason why it was so thrilling to watch. The Botswana trip was also ace, mainly because there weren't any stupid breakdowns - maybe apart from Hammond driving into the river, I'm sure they knew it was too deep there. I think there are many possibilities to make this show entertaining without the need to stage things. I loved the double decker racing, that's a good example of what makes a show fun.
  8. Yes, lots of people this end. Nothing but positive reviews so far.
  9. Need to wait for a torrent with this to appear... I want to watch it now so badly
  10. It's a bit like a trials video really. Click image to play. Was going to shoot some more but the weather has gotten very miserable recently. So this marks the end of the 2008 season. Was a good one, had lots of fun riding! Since the kerb comp probably won't take place due to the complete lack of interest, I've included some clips of that as well. Enjoy,
  11. Tapped a ~4ft wall to rear wheel, and when on the edge while still tucked both my legs slipped off the pedals and landed ahead of me on the wall, causing me to fall back onto the ground head first. The helmet broke in several places, possibly saving me from a very serious injury.
  12. If they think you're damaging / going to damage whatever you're riding on or cause danger to others, they'll complain. It's as simple as that and it's perfectly understandable, though annoying. Personally I hate old people looking out of their windows all day, seeking attention and complaining about everything in sight. It's not a problem to ignore them, but it's kinda distracting when you're trying to pull a move while being abused from above. The thing I love to do when I'm riding alone and somebody decides to moan is to stop riding, look at that person, let her shout a bit and once she's finished, tell her in English that I didn't understand a word she said, and if she could repeat everything in English from the start. Although people do speak this language quite well over here, they usually couldn't be bothered to make an effort and simply walk away.
  13. Talk to MBK, seriously it's them who are causing all the problems. You're to spend a heap of money on sending a frame back which they probably won't even bother to unpack. Tartybikes has nothing to do with this, stop complaining about them. You won't find better service elsewhere and I'm sure they've done everything to help you out. Perhaps the lack of communication is simply because they are waiting for a reply from France? In the future, don't buy French.
  14. I like that frame a lot. But vertical dropouts... what the hell?! WHY?!
  15. It looks like the financial situation around the world is a bit better than many predicted, but one of the extreme scenarios suggested that the price of oil would drop to around 10-20USD a barrel by the end of this year. The same scenario suggested this is just the very beginning of the biggest financial crisis in the history of humanity. So whatever happens, we're stuck. We'll either afford to run a pro street dragster to the shops, or we'll afford to buy one. Never both.
  16. I can bet my bike that this won't happen. Simply because MSN is a private service and some silly MP's from the UK can't close down a worldwide service.
  17. Talk to Tarty, I'm sure they'll help you out. Perhaps they won't require you to return it in view of the circumstances. It's clear that this frame is f**ked.
  18. Solar power stations take about 10-20 years to pay off. They've completely missed the infrastructure in the calculation which is bound to cost at least 50% more. But yeah, it's an interesting thought.
  19. Greetings

    The M

Surely it's called a McM? Or would that be too confusing. I like the standard burgers best. The brilliant thing about them is that they never have them ready made over here and you have to wait for them to prepare one. That means it's fresh and tastes so much better than ones that have been lying around for decades.
  20. So it's second hand, it was ok before you built it and now it's got a flat spot. My advice - build it again and just be more careful this time.
  21. I do hope you're not serious. Personally I love giving people presents, it's so much nicer than receiving them. If someone has the attitude you mentioned and only looks at money, they are rather sorry individuals and aren't really in a proper relationship with their so called "girlfriend".
  22. The difference they make will depend on what you've got at the moment. And as far as reviews are concerned, search is an amazing function and I advise you use it in the future: CK BMX
