  1. GF - perfume is a good thing especially if you know what she likes/would like, or if you don't like the perfume she uses and would prefer a change. Mum is pretty much the same. Kitchen accessories work as well and are to the benefit of the whole household. Can't help you with the rest though, got big problems with it myself.
  2. Japan Dubai Some small exotic island
  3. Mildly entertaining and forgettable. edit: download here - http://links.btarena.org/tv-xvid/top-gear-s12e06-rapidshare
  4. Yep. What's the advantage of riding brakeless?
  5. How rare is that Very nice bike man!
  6. Looks sweet, remarkably like Czar though.
  7. Chain tugs are a good alternative. It's much easier to fine adjust your wheel with those and you can get the chain much tighter. I run snail cams on my stock which I hate. They keep moving and one can't really screw the wheel down without them twisting in the direction of the thread. That's because they're on the outside of the frame but still it's a big nuisance. If you decide to get snail cams, I'd recommend Monty's. However, Monty snail cams are 2mm thick each, most frames are spaced 116mm which means you need 3mm cams. In extreme cases, this may result in the chainstays cracking. Ignore, if you have a Monty then you're safe.
  8. Well that's some confusion, looked to me like a Cannibal Great vid man, keep it up !
  9. Can't there be a topic approval system imposed on you? You know, like in the news forum.
  10. Shush Polish car washes caress the paint in a way unknown to the inhabitants of the British isles Here's a before from me:
  11. Don't use cable discs on the rear, they feel awful - spongy and with complete lack of feedback due to the long cable and all it's twists and turns. The only proper solution is a hydro. I've ran both a BB Avid and a Hope, and there's no comparison between them on the rear wheel. However, as a front brake, I'd say the Avid is better. In terms of power, a 180mm Hope will outperform an HS33 even with the best of pads and a grind. Haven't had experience with smaller rotors but a 160mm is probably good enough. And don't worry about hitting the disc, it's not as easy as it may seem - even with a 200mm rotor.
  12. Yeah, flared headsets are a bit of a bother because there's not much that will fit inbetween. There are quite a lot of headsets out there which sit much deeper in the frame. Try these for example:
  13. Good idea, will certainly save me some money on car washes as well.
  14. So tempted to check the registrations of cars used in Top Gear challenges.
  15. Oh balls... Good video, incredible tap.
  16. 18/19 - last of my carefree years, a time of big accomplishments and changes. 2005 was the best year ever, I have such good memories from that time.
  17. Is there a law which says that people are not allowed to have sex with horses? While this might not be entirely normal, sentencing someone like this to 3 years in prison sounds completely wrong.
  18. Mineral oil, water invalidates the warranty.
  19. Like Dan says. I've calculated that replacement of every bolt in my bike to Ti ones (except crank bolts and rear funbolts) will save around 60g. That's on a double HS33 setup. Try going for a mixture of Al and Ti - this will reduce costs and save extra weight. Al bolts are much lighter than Ti, but are much weaker as well. You can mix the bolts on stems and 4bolt mounts in order to ensure safety if the aluminium bolts break. Echo crank bolts are also a great way to save weight, you get -20g if you run them without the steel spacers. You're not supposed to do that but it's been ok on my bike so far. I know this is going too far, but if you're going to spend so much money on saving a bit of weight, you might want to ride without the headset top cap and bolt which will save you 20 grams for free. Just keep it in your backpack.
  20. Nice one. There was a vid of a Russian guy doing some really insane stuff on rails in the snow last year, what happened to that? Still nice attempt, respect for persisting despite those stacks.
  21. Those hubs won't last on a powerful front disc brake. But as always I'm all for such experiments, good job.
  22. A hypothetical for you What would you do if you fancied a girl, but her best friend and room mate was a complete and utter bitch and kept getting in the way and complicating things? Hypothetically, ignoring her isn't an option, she has to be dealt with.
  23. Liked that a lot, relaxing and pleasant to watch.
