  1. I don't want to start a discussion and stray off topic, but what Bionic is doing is really getting on my nerves. Ok, we've seen companies copy other designs which is inevitable but most if not all Bionic frames are rip off's - XTP, GU Le, Adamant, 221K etc. I've lost all my respect to Yao Zhi. Seriously, what a clot. Bike looks great dude.
  2. Yup, running mine on a smooth rim now and I can't see any difference between the performance now and with the old, ground rim. That's on a dry surface though, a bit of rain and you might as well just not bother holding the brake lever whilst riding. They have stunning performance on a grind in the wet though.
  3. That's only the case if the spokes are fatigued. Fatigue isn't the only reason why spokes snap. I'd replace the missing spoke, if others start to snap within a next week or two, get a new wheelbuild.
  4. Brakes usually leak because the inside of the cylinder is scratched. New seals won't make much of a difference (or will only temporarily solve the problem) since none will make a good and tight seal against a scratched surface. I had an RB lever and it leaked ever since I bought it from a shop. This was in 2002, they then cost the equivalent of around 50 pounds.
  5. You fix it by replacing the spoke or just ride without it.
  6. Caption needed: Great pics!
  7. It might be a good idea to chuck more people back into NMC. I think the mods are being more strict about validating recently which is great but they should also look at the current members and decide whether some don't deserve to be chucked back into NMC - especially the type of posters mentioned by Matt. Personally I find such posts offensive and would rather not see them in the members section.
  8. http://www.wrzuta.pl/audio/gv4XxLCEpS/bliz...09.2008_liveset Best music I've ever heard. By a mile. The whole thing is just pure perfection, from start to finish.
  9. A light bike makes a huge difference when riding though. And I don't consider this build as something fragile, as far as my riding goes I feel I can do anything on it without worrying about the strength of parts.
  10. I don't think he's popular, but some of his mashups are quite unique. Example
  11. 20:17 is very close to 22:18. So anything over 17T on the rear will be lighter.
  12. That was really good, nice lines and spins in there. A breath of fresh air
  13. I have that quite frequently, it's brilliant. Recommended.
  14. In theory. In practice: Your experience may differ.
  15. Really liked this one Mike, skipped the electro since I'm not a fan and went straight to progressive. Really well mixed together and a great choice of tunes. Just wondering, what are your thoughts on DJ Feego?
  16. ...? Wasn't CS3 released like a few months ago?
  17. Surely that's a kinda mashup with Infinity 2008? Brilliant song. Liking it a lot so far, will edit once I've listened to it.
  18. He has a stock, these use completely different gearing due to the wheel size. 18:12 is a typical ratio for mods. For stocks it's usually 18:16, 18:15 which are fairly similar to 22:18 - 22:20. The ratios you're suggesting are pretty random, bare in mind that 1T already makes a very big difference in the way a bike rides.
  19. White trousers give us power But no, it isn't me. And his trousers are a bit too tight
  20. Slightly updated Slowly approaching the 8,75kg target.
  21. Nobody wants you here! Go away now. But yeah, oil is really really cheap now, almost half price of what it was a few months ago. I can see you've still got this diesel price nonsense in the UK, we also had it but somehow the prices were forced down and now diesel is around 85% of the cost of 95. Before, it cost more than 98.
  22. Danny Tenaglia - The space dance (That Kid Chris radio mix) No idea how to class it but it's brilliant. Pretty much just a beat. Recommended, especially to The Scientist. Take the hint
  23. I like it, it's something different
  24. That was incredible. It's hard to believe you're blind watching that video. On natural you seem to make use of the shape of the obstacles as if you could see them. Or is this something you memorize before getting on your bike? Big respect man, doing what you love despite the difficulties. It's great to have people like you riding our sport. I shall go out tomorrow and try to ride blindfolded just to see how difficult it is.
  25. I'd really like to meet that guy, looks like a good laugh riding with him!
