1. Depends on your preference, most mod riders like long high rise stems. 160x25 for instance. You could also go with a Monty 150x25 stem and Monty bars which will feel similar. Out of the two, I'd choose the Monty combo due to the adjustability of the handlebars and the low rise stem. 2. As mentioned above, aluminum ones are good enough, no point. Besides, people generally dislike the gold colour. Don't know about the cranks.

I'd like to go to the next year event, started planning too late this year and the tickets have been sold out. Basically for those of you who've been on one of these, how did you find it? I'm mostly interested in the things you can't find out about from videos of this event. For instance, is the dancefloor so crowded that people are falling over each other when dancing, how difficult is it to get near the DJ etc. Also, is moving around the place easy enough, is there good access to the bars, is there a lounge where you can sit down and rest? Is it easy to get lost? I'll be going anyway, just wondering really. I've also heard that you don't carry cash around but use some kind of card to pay for anything you purchase. Are these pre-paid or linked with a credit card? If they're pre-paid, do they then return you the remaining money? And lastly, for those of you who've been, did you enter with a normal ticket or a VIP one? Which is the better buy?

Used a BB7 and a BB5 on my bike, the power was ok but only with the speed dial thingy on the maximum setting. That made the brake really spongy. Once flew over the bars during take off on a gap to front wheel because the brake didn't unlock. It's something one can get used to but I can't ride with a brake which will only unlock if you completely let go of the lever. The Hope isn't exactly solid, but it's better.

That doesn't make sense. My bend at the stanchions, not the steerer. Either way, get Zoo's.

From my experience: If you're running a stock, use a hydro brake. Get the biggest disc you can fit onto your bike, 220 will be good.

Is that common knowledge or just your observation? Interested in why that should be.

I think they're 06 because the steerer isn't as thick as in the 07 Urbans/Zoos etc.
