  1. Don't consider Monty freewheels, they're impossible to get. And even if shops will have them in stock, they won't have more than a few which will sell out very quickly.
  2. Did it 2 days ago but without changing the direction of the wheel/cranks etc and just tried to trackstand. It's awful. Got a better and more fun idea. Remove the rear brake lever from your bike, take some old bars and cut them down to 15cm and mount the brake lever on that. You ride, your mate holds the lever and does the braking.
  3. Yep, in the Ot Pi dream vid there was a scene where some riders rode a 3-man bike. If I remember correctly, they were trying to do a pigeon onto a rather high wall (well over 3ft). All the riders jumped up vigorously but the bike didn't even move.
  4. Don't get many comments, either people this end are more intelligent or just couldn't care. Had an old fart ask me quite an original question when I still rode a mod... "is that rear tyre so thick because it makes climbing up mountains easier?" There's another thing that makes me laugh, grumpy old women sitting on benches. If you ride near them and make too much noise, they then start talking to each other very loudly saying abusive things and making sure you hear their conversation. Usually they say stuff like "what a total idiot, i hope he hurts himself" and "i totally agree with you mary, i too hope he hurts himself". All the more fun when you let them complain between themselves for about 10 minutes and then pretend to make a phone call in English - it shuts them up instantly.
  5. Find a used bike in your area and meet up with the seller. Might be an idea if you took a friend who knows a bit about trials with you. He could help you decide whether the bike you want is indeed in good condition and worth the money. Oh, and I wouldn't advise buying anything on this forum...
  6. Bit of a long shot but I'll give it a try Looking for the 2nd soundtrack from a Hungarian movie called "KMT_kd_06_EdLaci" (guys on Koxx Coustellier and Bealey promodels riding rocks). Sounds to me a bit like Depeche Mode but I can't catch the lyrics. Edit: Found it. KMT_kd_06_EdLaci The Cure - A forrest
  7. Exactly what I though yesterday. It was just way too hot and it'll only get worse. Why can't there be a long spring, it's either hot or cold...
  8. It wastes so much of my time and I'm just too lazy to resist!
  9. A wanted topic usually gets responses only from people who are already selling stuff and have posted a Fs: thread. So why can't new members just browse the F/S forum?
  10. Greetings

    Weight

about 10,3kgs (26" adamant) and nothing brakes down, don't catch snakebites.... light does not mean weak.
  11. I love you. New drivers fixed all the problems. Thanks! Topic can be closed
  12. Right then. Anybody knows what the hell these strange artifacts are? I get them when capturing a video - it's just the preview that has this funny pattern on it, the captured video is fine. Doesn't happen in Movie Maker or when playing vids through WM11. Does happen when the Windows picture viewer (or sth along those lines) plays a video. Are there any patches that fix this or do I just have to put up with it?
  13. I used to have a full sus freeride bike, could bunnyhop that over 3ft, the one thing I realized was that a short stem made it much easier to bunnyhop but you couldn't get much height. A long stem gives you more space to hop upwards, but makes lifting the front wheel more difficult. So to sum up, if you've got the power and technique to lift up the front end of a bike with a long stem, go for a long one (anything over 115mm)
  14. Riding was superb, the skatepark stuff was absolutely amazing and the music was to my liking, chilled and with a nice tune. The camera guy was awful and that spoiled the whole vid. Editing wise, try not to include clips in which nothing is happening or you can't see anything (like those night shots). If not for those two things, this would be one of the best vids I've seen in quite a while. Going to give it another watch
  15. Roughening up the surface should do. edit: you need to remove any paint/laquer beforehand of course
  16. And dexterity, that's probably most important.
  17. They're very good. It's just the threads that are a bit weak, I'll soon be on my 5th Truvativ because of that
  18. The last minute was amazing Ever seen the training Kim Dzong's guards go through? That's what being hard really means
  19. Determine the bb-rise on this bike. Now that's tricky
  20. Those bars look more than totally wrong Nice bike you've got there, nice to see it almost built up after such a long wait
  21. Anything from Ben Travis, Rowan or the Braunschweig team.
  22. A short stem will make most bikes easy to bunnyhop but clearly not your Adamant. I'd say a short Control with a flat 90mm stem should be good and still feel like a trials bike.
  23. Cheers for that. It's definitely given me some ideas. Will probably get the Athlon, maybe a 6000+ as it's only 10 pounds more expensive than the 5200+ over here. About the speed thing though, Hz is the ammount of operations a processor does in one second so at a guess, if you have 4 2,4ghz processors, that adds up to a total of 9,600 billion (or whatever it is, I'm no good with numbers ) operations per second - even if each core is working independently? Edit: would have forgot. Will 4GB of memory work with a 32 bit system?
