  1. Back when i 1st started, big drops were the daddy. Doing an 8ft drop on an xc bike with alot of people watching n waiting for me to do it was scary!
  2. My brothers old onza sold from the back of mbuk. Ive personally never used it
  3. I believe a shorter frame is easier to do "street" moves. Manuals, bunnyhops, jumps etc. A longer frame is more comp style. Very manouverable, good on the back wheel but not so good doing the above. Thats not to say you cant ride say a longer frame and pop manuals etc but they are slightly harder to perform as well imo.
  4. Ive not seen anyone on a GU Typhoon and i think they look mint
  5. Im not alot of use here as a dont ride much if its not dry but, ive found in the cold, magura oil thickens. My brakes dont react as quick as they would normally. My tioga tyre is very worn on the back and has little - no grip if its wet. Even damp tarmac is an issue!
  6. Did he know what was causing the split?
  7. When i changed my frame to the zoo i had great fun building it up. I bought loads of new bits, fresh grease etc. Anything old, got a striped down and cleaned before i put it back on. Its all tailored to me riding it and i feel ultra comfy on it.
  8. Is the hose still attached and split or is it hanging out? Ive not heard of this before
  9. Where abouts on the hose has it split?
  10. Most knurling ive seen has a smooth, rounded finish to it. Not sure how well that would work compared to a grind which is usually very rough.
  11. Will get myself a piss pot when i actually bother to get one
  12. There has to be a point where the bars are too wide and although u have great balance and control, you cant get the front wheel up properly. Id say 28" is an ideal for general trials riding
  13. You not heard that before? :P Ive found the waether forecasts to be pretty accurate this week. Unfortunately, they arent too good at doing forecasts days in advance
  14. The most i saw was a bit of hail near banbury today whilst driving. Forecast is for snow here tomorrow
  15. Given the choice, the 04s are cheaper, but no worse than 05s, so i would go for 04s. That way, if you get the 04 maggies for 89.99, you have some change for a decent set of pads (Y)
  16. Chances are the guy cant get the pics as the car will either be in a compound awaiting an insurance assor or the police have it for gathering evidence against the other chap. I never managed to get pics of my crashed car as, as soon as the assor had valued the car, it was taken away and crushed
  17. Ive had two trips to hospital due to crashing on a bike but so far, touch wood, nothing broken. 1st time i had gapped to a concrete post and promtly slipped off the post. Put my foot down as i was falling, only for it to land in a drain and twist right over. Massive swelling and me not being able to walk meant xray number 1! 2nd time i was hopping up a wall and didnt get the front anywhere near high enough! Front end nose dived back down the wall, pitching me elbow 1st into the wall. Elbow became somewhat immobile and another xray at the A&E. My worst injury was due to a car crash. Dislocated shoulder, heavy bruising on chest and twisted knee
  18. Welcome chap. I would imagine you will like your stay here :P
  19. Please note i said nova's with bolt on spoilers etc :P However, pmsl at the list on the door :P
  20. Ah pants, last i heard you couldnt get green rim tape :P
  21. You cant. I tried green gaffer tape but it looked a bit pants. Eventually found a green inner tube that i cut into 2 strips and used as rim tape
  22. At a guess i would say that the crash wa son her sidehop eof the car. Why do people consider all modified cars to be chav? Alot of hard work and cash goes into making a car show worthy. Something a chav wont want to do and the benefits wont cover! Imo, a chav car is a 15 y/o Nova with a bolt on spoiler, neons n rust. Most often found at mcdonalds with a pissed 14 y/o girl in the passenger seat! Anyways, is there any news on the girlfriend yet?
  23. Im sure the insurance company should organise it. If not, as mentioned earlier, get a claims lawyer involved. They will know the best way to collect your damages. Fingers crossed for the missus btw I took the bits off my old car (that were salvagable) when i crashed it and ended up with this:
  24. Get them set up right as well :turned: There was a guide on here only posted last week
  25. Im teaching my missus the basics of trials at the mo and we have got stuck at the trackstand lol To be fair, she hasnt ridden a bike for 10 years :turned:
