  1. I prefer street as thats all i really ride. I cant find any decent natural round here :P
  2. I think you would be pushing it to find a rim brake that would fit a 3" tyre. Thats assuming your frame can take a 3" tyre too.
  3. Sweet riding!!! I love the street trials way of riding.
  4. Only to a degree. Part of preloading is that tension on the chain before the peddle down. Im not suggesting someone change gears solely to gap bigger but i always rode in a pretty easy gear, i changed to a lower gear ratio and it has helped as now ive progressed and am going bigger and better when i ride
  5. That vid was brilliant!!! I want to go out and practise that mad trackstand!
  6. Rowly you take alot of sense :) If only more people had the same open views rather than just judge what they see in front of them.
  7. Ive been done 3 times for speeding so far :) 1st was 43 in a 30 (speed gun) 2nd was 38 in a 30 (speed camera) 3rd was 94 on a motorway (traffic police) Im fully aware of the fact im breaking the law when speeding. Its a chance i used to take. I have however, grown up now and dont take the piss anymore! The 40 mph limits set on motorways / dual carriageways are, as stated earlier, there for the workers safety as many a twat has gone ploughing through the roadworks and nailed a worker. Whether the guys were working or not at that time is irrelevant really. The limit was clearly signed. For the record, ive been driving 6 years now. Have been done for speeding, had accidents, done driver training courses and currently drive around 35-40k miles a year.
  8. This could be a new winter craze! Who can do the maddest rim :)
  9. My peddles sit higher than my frame. I dont think a moto trials dip would be of benefit and would probably ruin the geo of the bike making it gash to ride
  10. Practise!!! Its much to do with technique, also the gear you are running. Ive changed to a slightly harder gear ratio and am flying now!!
  11. I see soo much as i spend most of my day driving around in a van going various places. I do actually keep my bike in the back just incase lol
  12. Try motorsport!! Ive spent upwards of 10k on my car :)
  13. Its part of being english though isnt it!! Make a coffee n sit back, watch video's and post on here
  14. One bonus to being older though is that you are more physically able to pull the larger moves on a bike (Y)
  15. My first proper trials bike was a heavy tools trials. The frame cost £329 back in 1999
  16. Are you actually mental!! (Y) I dont like riding when its wet!
  17. Haha, id imagine theres alot of trashed mechs in the world!
  18. Im learning various tricks whilst on the back wheel at the moment. Can x-up and back peddle just need a rear maggie booster so i can try peddle spins.
  19. When side hopping i go to my left so the LHS chainstay takes any failed attempts. My mate side hops to the right though and the mech gets mashed fairly often. Do others suffer similar fates to their bike? Is there any clever way around it, other then going to the left, or is he doomed to smashing mechs!!
  20. There is an extra enzyme in the stomach that can be found in many alcoholics. This is apparently part of the reason they cant stop once they start. Ive an addictive personality but i cant take or leave alcohol thank god. I have been addicted to smoking fags and cannabis in the past though.
  21. Heres a pic from when i 1st built up the pitbull frame. Ive got an onza hog rim on the back now and a few other little bits
  22. Chris rides trials like a bmx street rider. Such a random style but sooo good. The guys got mad natural talent!
  23. Pads: Zoo Pads Time used: 5 weeks Rim used: Old Mavic D521 with old grind for 3 weeks then new Onza hog with fresh grind Brake: Maggie '00 Grind: Yes Tar: Not a chance! Wear rate: Fast! Opinion of a working brake: Good strong hold, doesn't slip. Something i can trust 100% in any situation Review: 1st impressions were good. The pads bite really well and are very good on a grind. Unfortunately, they are just too soft. The pads are almost down to the backing now after 5 weeks of dry riding. I dont do wet riding! Next pads are going to be the Plasmatic CRMs
