    Habits!

I've kept old crummy boxer shorts solely so I can use them as handkerchiefs and not have to buy tissues. If I don't eat, or go to the gym/do something that gets me exhausted I get pretty grumpy. I'm ridiculously self-conscious, pretty much to the point when sometimes I don't really talk because I don't want to have to think about what I've said. I guess that's why I barely post on here nowadays. I think I'm going slowly toward a Pat Bateman meltdown, minus the whole killing people thing. I'll probably delete this post soon

    A Short Film

Bit late but I only just got to watch this: Awesome video Danny!! Have you moved? Really well put together. Good flowy riding, you really seemed to put a lot of thought into the whole thing, musically, editingly, ridingly - keep it up Mr Gray. P.S. You should have had "bike trials rules love danny xx" as the last part of the credits
  3. Well, I'll let you guess who I am in this one! Shaved head now, better than this:
  4. I like it alot, the dropouts look a little less scary in the pics on Webcyclery. Though I'd be intrigued to find whether the frame had undergone any real testing, with a 203 disc that is. Do many Deng bikes break at the dropouts these days? I've got faith in him..
  5. That's such a terrible thing to happen. Whilst I never knew him it's clear he was a great guy and will be sorely missed. RIP Oli Lewis. My condolances to friends, family & loved ones.
  6. Congrats dude, glad to see your luck is picking up!
  7. JT, what's the rush with this? If things with you and this lady are steady enough then working for a year or however long in the UK is gonna be insignificant compared to the amount of time you'll be able to legally spend in the US living with her. How old is she? Will she be going to college/uni? Perhaps try to get her to do a year studying at a UK university? Get her to a London university, live with her in the student accomodation and earn lots of cash from the inner London pay rates, temp work is so good. How long did you spend out there before? Just do the 3 month tourist visa and see what it's like to live there for 3 months, working or not. As Simon-esque (sorry, Si) as this sounds actually living with someone over a prolonged period of time does change the relationship, 95% of the time it's for the best but there is that 5%. You know that if someone else on here was thinking of doing something similar you'd be offering rational advice. Get your visa, get some work lined up and don't do anything stupid. ______________________________________ Surely someone in her family/extended circle of friends knows someone that'll be able to help? Asking on here and then trying to find that suggestion is gonna be way harder than asking some minnesotians for any work they might have going.
  8. Really nice work Jonny, good vibe in that video. It's great seeing you getting coverage onto Extreme, it'll do trials and your rep a lot of good. Keep it up!
  9. With all due respect dude, that is a completely bogus statement with regards to the weight, with equally bogus reasoning. Just say that it looks light It's good to see Deng bring a seat-tube back to the his range!
  10. Works fine, beefed resolution, all the trimmings. Forgot how annoyingly addictive this game is... N.B. the card is an X1600.

    Woohoo

I use a program called Handbrake, no faults so far, easy to use. It's not failed to copy anything yet, and it can rip directly to iPod compatible files, or anything you like - there're a lot of presets built in. As well as it being customisable. I've found ripping it at 250kbps max still gives a great image, low file size (Simpsons episode is ~70meg) and very quick rip-time!

    Woohoo

I went for a product red as it gives a wee bit to charity, definitely get a case for it though. Case logic do some nice ones! I do really like mine, ripped some DVD's, now I can watch Simpsons, Family Guy, BMX dvds on the tube. One very useful feature is that if you're watching a film and it's aspect ratio results in the big black bars covering alot of the screen you can set it to full screen, converting it to 4:3, obviously you miss some of the sides but usually you'll see all you need to see. I dunno if the older iPod videos did that but I was pleasantly surprised by Apple's ingenuity.
  13. Booooo! By integrated do you mean integrated with the motherboard? I.e. not a separate unit within the box/monitor? Or am I way off? I shoulda got an Nvidia with it methinks!
  14. It's an ATI Radeon something or other, surely that's not integrated? <says the complete noob>
  15. Is yours Intel also? I think that's where the problems begin...
  16. Will The Sims 2 work on my Intel iMac? Ooh, and how about Call of Duty 2 & Quake 4?! Spec: 2.16GHz Intel Core 2 Duo 256MB VRAM 2GB 667 DDR2 SDRAM - 2x1GB 500GB Serial ATA Drive SuperDrive 8X (DVDR-DL/CD-RW) It's an ATI Radeon card, I don't know the model number off the top of my head...
  17. Happy Birthday DJ Will raise a glass to you this eve. RIP
  18. Doesn't ram have to go in sets? I.e. 2x256, 2x512 or 2x1GB and so on and so on? Or am I talking complete rubbish?
  19. Not really a problem, just a question: When it's dark in my boudoir and my iMac is shut down but there's power going to it (i.e. from the mains), I'll see a dim green light coming from the underside of the screen, coming from behind the vent (there's lots of little circular shadows). What is this light? I guess it can't be a bad thing, I suppose I should worry when I don't see it anymore. _____________________________________________ It may well have been mentioned, but if you're wanting to rip DVD's (I'm sure it works fine on Windows PC's too) but Handbrake is absolutely awesome for the job. It's really easy to use, it's free, easy to customise and so far it's had no problems with any DVD's I've thrown at it, albeit, I've only had the program for about 5 days - 100% success rate though!
  20. The whole football firm thing is actually really interesting, surprisingly regimented and not as thuggish as it seems. My brother and I (two complete non-Football team supporters) had a really good convo with a guy from the Chelsea firm in a pub a few months ago. Bit of a livewire as you might imagine but completely sound. It was very enlightening, whilst it is crazy for dudes to fight over a sport I was still a little turned around on the subject. Apparently Football Factory's more accurate, still not really close though

    New Ipods!

If you're a complete rem, seriously - how do people find it so hard to use? What's the deal? Oh, and 160's coming my way eventually - just to have absolutely everything, pictures, music, videos, films - 40 hour battery as well, beast!
  22. Except the 1st and only ever genocide, perpetrated by us chaps
  23. Arub? Bura? Urba? Baur? Rabu? Abur? Baru? My real name's way better - trebor. Danny wouldn't change it
