  1. I'm with the boring people. Directly slagging off another shop is very unprofessional. Cool photoshoppage, though I think a more subtle approach would be sweeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeet
  2. Go to London and go to the Apple store on Regent Street. My brother's Ipod 30gb was being a bit dodge, only playing out of one channel, he went there. Booked some time at the 'Ipod Cafe' told the guy and he replaced it right there for a brand new one, he even transferred all the tunes from the old one to the new one!
  3. Hopefully I'll be going back to Barcelona for Sonar
  4. I'll be getting my brother to help me out in the student discount department I'm going to be a student in the Autumn but I really wanna get a new machine now and become pretty damn competant with Final Cut! Thanks for all the replies so far, especially Jon.M, you mac pro you
  5. Well if it's not the Spelling Bee anymore, who/what the bugger is it?
  6. 'Ello ello peeps (hopefully those with knowledge of macs & video editing on the things). I'm going to be getting a new computer soon (once Apple get off their bums and release Leopard), it'll mainly be for regular internet useage and video editing. With the editing I'll be working with high quality footage so I can only assume that it'll generally rag the machine. Currently I'm torn between: 20" iMac or 13" Macbook. Both'll have 2 gigs of ram, the iMac will be the 2.16Ghz Intel Core 2 Duo and the Book will be the 2Ghz. For the sheer simplicity of it, I'm more in favour of a Macbook. Although this comes with the sacrifice of smaller screen, smaller harddrive and probably an inferior video card. The iMac I can get a better spec for a little more money and have a pretty sweet screen to watch films on when I move out of my current place as I'm not sure if'll both to take the Tv/dvd surround system. But, I can take the Macbook out with me, move it around the place and it's generally alot easier in that respect. But would the Macbook be able to handle the long periods of editing that it'll be getting put through, repeatedly? I'll be going to the Apple store and asking them about it, but I'd always feel a little uneasy about asking people who, ultimately, see you as a walking pound sign in their store. So that's where you guys come in
  7. Fat Pants clearly wasn't around in the early days if he thinks that could take down the Bee Oh, and Happy Birthday...
  8. That thing took a pretty good beating! What a complete jackass though.
  9. Smooooth with a capital smoooooo. You are a character.
  10. It varies. In the UK, it's Season 6 that they're into, in the US they're on Season 5. The UK boxsets of Season 4+5 equate to just Season 4 in the states. I dunno why they market it differently. Check out Wikipedia Dave, it's all there!
  11. It seems pretty lo-key at the mo - http://www.amazon.co.uk/s/ref=sr_nr_i_0/20...20ray%2Ci%3Advd Not too expensive though!
  12. Meh. Aside from your personal gripes/preferences - People do want a Blu-Ray player, hence why they've been selling? It was the same with DVDs, only the tech fags and well off had them, they were super duper expensive. Now look at it, pretty much everyone has at least one DVD player in their home and they're piss cheap. Gamers would surely want a blu-ray player too? Capable (obviously) of playing Blu-Ray DVDs as well as, more importantly, Blu-Ray Games which lots of gaming companies can utilise to put more content into their games? Speculations: It's just that it's technology and release date have meant that it's come into a fragile market, HD still isn't that huge, neither is Blu-Ray or HD-DVD, when it's all a bit more mainstream then I think they'll dominate in years to come. They're supposedly making a loss on every single PS3 sold, they're strained as it is. Gaming is a huge market for them so Sony aren't going to deliberatly price themselves out of it. It's like getting a HD Ready TV, Sony are future proofing themselves for the next years, as technology these days is getting freakin' silly. Although, I don't really give a toss, I play my PS2 to kill time whilst I've left dinner to cook and I find it highly entertaining, I won't be getting a PS3 yet, that's fo' sho'.
  13. Lol, nice edit Well, that certainly made the list of things do download when I get an internet connection at home again, both the toon & the vid.
  14. Woooo cheers Jonny! Nice little vid Ben Was that a remix of Scaling or something? It sounded sooo similar.
  15. Why? Just out of curiosity, I mean, it's just a games console!
  16. Trebor

    Urgent!

But what if they're doing more for the economy and the good of the public than you are? Considering the literacy and allround dumbassedness of your posts - perhaps YOU should be deported. We know you're an immigrant anyways, go on, get out! You and your girlfriend, bugger off! _________________________________________________________________ That was a joke by the way. I don't even know Dave. But I think it shows the same mentality toward the subject that alot of people have. Sorry to hear that about your buddies Monsieur Chai.
  17. To be fair though, the PS3 is a Blu-Ray player as well as a beast of a games console. Considering the Samsung Blu-Ray DVD player is going for £538 on Amazon and Sony want £500 for the console - it's not such a bad deal. I'm not saying that I'm getting one, although if Oxford Street's HMV is giving a freakin' tele away with them it does sound rather tempting!
  18. Youtube, for the love of God, man - YOUTUBE!
  19. Could you not just great Googlely moogly it?
  20. They only brought out one EP but Mummy Fortunas Theatre Company are pretty rad, quite chilled out hip-hop - it depends what you like really.
  21. My dreams are turning into movies these days, one I had a few days ago actually had end credits. Where people that were in my dream earlier on were seen just joking around amongst themselves, bloopers stuff like that. Unfortunately the names were unreadable. After the credits I drifted awake and then my alarm will go off. It is getting rather wierd, I'll be first person in my dream and suddenly my vision would lift out of my body and start doing a huge, twisting, floating panaramic shot of the location I'm in, or as though the camera were just left on the floor and I see myself or random's just doing there thing for a few seconds, then it'll come back to me. Last night this dude at my office who I rarely speak to was in my dream (my first ever dream that involved the office) and he came in with dark skin make up and big frizzy hair like Gene Wilder in Silver Streak. My dreams are usually alot of fun, even if they're scary, they're not scary in some obscure way. They always involve alot of action and running and jumping and talking and driving, lots of randoms. It used to be about 80% in life locations and 20% imaginary, nowadays it's 70% imaginary and about 30% life locations. I find my sleeping gets more fun when I've not had any form of intoxicant for about 4 days. Lots of fun This all contrasts hugely with my older brother, who is a lifelong insomniac and has pretty much only nightmares, if he dreams at all.
  22. Everytime I hover over one of the options at the top the JonMack thing twitches to go beneath it. I guess that was intentional but I personally find it really annoying. Plus I don't see any point in the 'Navigation' thing showing up. Plus, when I was looking at the Fashion Show poster thing: the images all load up very swankily, but it's annoying having to close them to be able to click the other options. My $0.02 - I know nothing of coding so won't comment.
  23. You swallow food every day - what's the deal? That's my thought process on them anyway...
  24. Signed. This is pretty shocking, I'm amazed that something like this has even been created.
  25. If I was doing messed up stuff like any of the above in this thread, I'd not think twice about cutting the booze for a while. I get really bad memory loss and if I sit down I fall asleep, that annoys me enough to not want to drink unless it's a special occasion. If I was getting violent toward a loved one I'd take long hard look at myself and way of life. Alcohol is a poison to your body, if you continually abuse your body like that, coupled with lack of good, natural sleep it's going to mess up more than your coordination. It's pretty straight-forward really, let your body and brain recover, because clearly your body can not handle your current lifestyle.
